Rouge vs Vital: Which Red Light Therapy Brand Wins in 2026?
Medical review: All articles on Red Light Therapy Top 10 are reviewed for scientific accuracy and evidence-based relevance by our medical expert team. This page is wellness information, not a diagnosis or a treatment plan. Sessions with either mix may help a general wellness routine. Neither panel is presented as treating disease.
This is a two-brand fight, not a third-brand coronation. Rouge Care is the Canadian G4 catalog: eight wavelengths including 1060 nm, dual-chip LEDs with an even split, a 30-degree beam, and a 71.65-inch Max and Ultimate currently 25 percent off for Labor Day. Vital Red Light is the Florida 2.0 ladder: nine named bands including 1060 nm, 480 nm blue, and 590 nm yellow on the $599 Pro 2.0, plus a thicker public Trustpilot sample. The trophy below is between these two only.
Winner summary · Coverage and 1060 nm versus 2.0 sticker and reviews
Overall winner: Rouge Care. Runner-up: Vital Red Light for the $599 Pro 2.0 and Trustpilot sample
Both sell a tabletop, a mid panel, and a taller home body, with a three-year warranty and goggles in the current G4 and 2.0 boxes. Rouge stretches Max and Ultimate to 71.65 inches and puts eight wavelengths including 1060 nm into that height. Vital’s largest home panel, Elite 2.0, is 36.6 inches tall and about 8.5 inches wide, with nine named 2.0 bands on the $599 Pro 2.0. Overall winner: Rouge Care. Runner-up: Vital Red Light for sticker and reviews. RLT Home is not the overall winner of this pairing.

The brands at a glance
Rouge Care
The Canadian G4 catalog with 1060 nm at 71 inches
Rouge Care sells from Ontario with free shipping to the USA and Canada. The live G4 panel ladder on 1 September 2026 is Nano at $221, Tabletop G4 at $483, Pro G4 at $1,121, Max G4 at $2,246, and Ultimate G4 at $4,196. Those stickers are 25 percent off the compare-at prices still shown on rouge.care/products.json ($295, $645, $1,495, $2,995, $5,595).
Every G4 body uses the same eight wavelengths: 630, 650, 660, 670, 810, 830, 850, and 1060 nm. Dual-chip 5W LEDs force an even ~12.5 percent share per band. That is construction, not a smear and not a tuned clinical ratio. Four reds take about half the output. 1060 nm takes about 12.5 percent. The Pro G4 page lists seven presets, per-wavelength dimming, 1 to 10,000 Hz pulsing, a touchscreen, and an app.
Tabletop G4 is 12.6 x 9.06 in with 72 LEDs. Pro G4 is 36.22 x 11.81 in with 288. Max G4 is 71.65 x 11.81 in with 576. Ultimate G4 is 71.65 x 22.83 in with 1,152. Max covers adult height. Ultimate adds width. Stands are extra. Goggles ship in the G4 box. Trial is 60 days on panels. Warranty is three years.
Vital Red Light
Nine named 2.0 bands, including 1060 nm, from $599
Vital Red Light ships from Florida with free shipping worldwide. Live home ladder on 1 September 2026: Pro $399, Pro 2.0 $599, Elite $999, Elite 2.0 $1,499. Vital Charge ($299, 12 LEDs) is a handheld, not this comparison. Commercial Premier, Ultimate, and Bed units are non-returnable.
Pro and Elite stay on four bands (630/660/810/850 nm) with 70 and 210 LEDs. Pro 2.0 and Elite 2.0 name nine: 480, 590, 630, 660, 670, 810, 830, 850, and 1060 nm, with 72 and 216 LEDs. Density is not published. Nine is a count, not a share. 2.0 adds a touchscreen, named presets, and an app. Brand irradiance is 150 to 210 mW/cm2 with no distance or meter named.
Pro and Pro 2.0 are 12.5 x 8.5 in tabletops. Pro 2.0 includes a tabletop stand. Elite and Elite 2.0 are 36.6 in tall and about 8.5 in wide (the on-site table lists Elite 2.0 at 9.5 in). Floor stands run from Bootstand $99 to Full Motion $1,995. Current 2.0 pages list eyewear in the box. Trial is 30 days on home devices. Warranty is three years.
Spectrum and wavelength density: the most important difference
Wavelength count is the brochure. Density is the dose. Rouge publishes an even G4 split as a dual-chip fact. Vital names nine 2.0 bands including 1060 nm and does not publish the share.
Rouge G4: eight bands, even 12.5 percent, including 1060 nm
G4 is 630, 650, 660, 670, 810, 830, 850, and 1060 nm. Nano is 660 and 850 nm only. For 1060 nm, start at Tabletop G4.
Each G4 lamp holds two equal chips, so each of the eight bands sits near 12.5 percent of output. About 50 percent of G4 output is red. 1060 nm is one eighth. Extra reds at 650 and 670 nm are real. Missing 480 nm blue is also real; Rouge does not claim blue. The honest read is an 8-band red-plus-NIR panel with 1060 nm present at a modest even share, including on the 71-inch bodies.
Vital 2.0: nine named bands, including 1060, 480, and 590 nm
Pro 2.0 and Elite 2.0 list 480, 590, 630, 660, 670, 810, 830, 850, and 1060 nm. That list is Vital’s genuine edge: 480 nm blue, 590 nm yellow, and 1060 nm on a $599 tabletop. Non-2.0 Pro and Elite stay on 630, 660, 810, and 850 nm. If 1060 nm is why someone is here, the 2.0 badge is the one that matters.
Vital does not publish the percentage in each of those nine names. Nine is a count. Density is a share. This page will not invent an 11 percent 1060 nm figure. Rouge names 1060 nm and tells you it is about one eighth. Transparency on share is a Rouge win. Named 2.0 breadth, including blue and yellow, is a Vital win.
Density beats count. Rouge G4: eight bands, even ~12.5 percent, 1060 nm included on the 71-inch panels. Vital 2.0: nine named bands including 1060, 480, and 590 nm, share unpublished, 36.6-inch ceiling on Elite 2.0. Rouge wins the 8-band 1060 share on a panel you can stand in front of. Vital wins the named 2.0 list on a $599 tabletop.
Power and Irradiance: Measured by Independent Third Parties
Solar power meters overstate LED output. This page compares spectrometer to spectrometer, peak to peak or average to average. Distances have to match. A 6-inch reading is not a 12-inch reading.
Rouge dual disclosure, kept in its own pile
Rouge publishes both instruments at 6 inches. Pro G4: solar 164 mW/cm2 and spectrometer 90 mW/cm2, plus an integrating-sphere report. Tabletop G4 spectrometer 79. Max 81. Ultimate 85. Dual disclosure is the honest habit. Solar 164 is not used as a combat number against Vital.
Independent work on Rouge is the Light Therapy Insiders G4 Pro review: peak 65 mW/cm2 and average 59.2 mW/cm2 at 6 inches. LTI is affiliated; that is disclosed here. The independent average sits below Rouge’s own 90 mW/cm2 Pro G4 spectrometer figure. Use the independent average if you want the conservative number.
Vital brand claim and Outliyr at 12 inches, kept in their own pile
Vital lists 150 to 210 mW/cm2 on the home line. Distance and meter are unstated, so that range cannot sit next to Rouge’s 6-inch spectrometer column. Outliyr measured Elite 1.0 at 78.3 mW/cm2 at 12 inches on a HOPOOCOLOR OHSP350IR (630/660/830/850 nm). That is Elite 1.0, not 2.0. 78.3 at 12 in is not comparable to LTI’s 65 peak at 6 in or Rouge’s 90 at 6 in.
Fair read, not a mixed-meter fight: Rouge wins transparency (solar and spectrometer at 6 in, plus a named LTI 6-inch trail). Vital has a named Outliyr 12-inch spectrometer figure on Elite 1.0 and a brand range without a distance. Neither number is a reason to ignore the other brand. Do not convert 12 inches into 6 inches in your head and call it science.
LED chips: dual-chip G4 versus unpublished 5W packages
Rouge G4 uses dual-chip 5W LEDs. Dual-chip is a fact, not a smear. Each wavelength in that lamp shares the wattage, so a single-chip 5W at one peak is stronger at that peak. Dual-chip’s counter-claim is more even surface spread from one point. This page records the architecture. It does not turn dual-chip into a morality play.
Vital lists 5W anti-flicker LEDs. Chip configuration is not published, so this page will not guess. Counts: Vital 70 / 72 / 210 / 216. Rouge 24 chips in 12 Nano lamps, then 72, 288, 576, and 1,152. Count is not density.
Beam angle: 30 degrees on both home lines
Both list a 30-degree beam. No winner. Vital’s own guidelines say 10-minute sessions at 16 to 24 inches, farther than Rouge’s 6-inch spectrometer distance. Follow the brand’s distance when you dose.
Coverage, height, and LED density
Panel dimensions decide whether you treat a body or a stripe. This is the row Rouge wins cleanly, and the main reason it is the overall winner for most home-panel buyers.
Max G4 and Ultimate G4 are 71.65 inches tall. Max is 11.81 inches wide. Ultimate is 22.83 inches wide, rare coverage of body width rather than a spinal stripe. Pro G4 at 36.22 x 11.81 in matches Elite’s height class. Tabletop G4 is a desk panel.
Vital Pro / Pro 2.0 are 12.5 x 8.5 in tabletops. Elite / Elite 2.0 are 36.6 inches tall and about 8.5 inches wide. Vital markets Elite 2.0 as full-body. Physically it is a torso stripe. Two Elites approach height, stay narrow, and double the $1,499 sticker before the stand. Rouge Max buys height in one chassis. Ultimate buys height and width.
LED density, computed from live dimensions
Density is LEDs per square inch of face, computed from live dimensions.
- Rouge Tabletop G4: 72 LEDs / (12.6 x 9.06) about 0.63 per sq in
- Rouge Pro G4: 288 / (36.22 x 11.81) about 0.67 per sq in
- Rouge Max G4: 576 / (71.65 x 11.81) about 0.68 per sq in
- Rouge Ultimate G4: 1,152 / (71.65 x 22.83) about 0.70 per sq in
- Vital Pro: 70 / (12.5 x 8.5) about 0.66 per sq in
- Vital Pro 2.0: 72 / (12.5 x 8.5) about 0.68 per sq in
- Vital Elite: 210 / (36.6 x 8.5) about 0.68 per sq in
- Vital Elite 2.0: 216 / (36.6 x 8.5) about 0.69 per sq in (about 0.62 per sq in if the 9.5 in table width is the true face)
On like-size bodies the arrays sit around 0.63 to 0.70 LEDs per square inch. Density is not a smear. Height and width are the differentiators. Rouge Max and Ultimate occupy a size class Vital’s home line does not sell.
Modes, apps, and pulsing
Rouge Pro G4 lists seven presets (Wellness, Skincare, Sleep, Muscle Recovery, Pets, Fat Loss, Joint Pain), per-wavelength dimming, 1 to 10,000 Hz pulsing, a touchscreen, and an app.
Vital 2.0 lists Fat Loss, Skin, Pets, Muscle, Sleep, and Joint Pain, with Skin calling out 480 and 590 nm, plus 100+ app programs. Both brands have apps. Neither is a no-radio privacy device. That catalog sits in the funnel, not on this trophy.
Preset names overlap. Rouge wins stated per-wavelength dimming on all eight G4 bands. Vital wins the larger app library and blue/yellow 2.0 mix. Modes are not why Rouge is the overall winner.
In the box, stands, and realistic totals
G4 boxes list the panel, remote, goggles, power cord, and hanging hardware. Live stand prices: Pro floor $105, Max floor $168, Ultimate floor $262, pneumatic $427, small motorized $525, motorized $746. Realistic totals with floor stands: Pro $1,226, Max $2,414, Ultimate $4,458.
Vital Pro 2.0 includes a tabletop stand at $599. Elite 2.0 bootstand is extra. Live stands: Bootstand $99, Bootstand 2.0 $199, FlexStand $499, Stationary $995, Full Motion $1,995. Elite 2.0 with Bootstand is $1,598. Current 2.0 pages list eyewear in the box. This page uses the live pages.
Two Elite 2.0 panels increase coverage area. They do not raise irradiance on one square of skin. Budget the second panel and stand, or buy one 71-inch chassis.
User reviews from independent Trustpilot
This row uses independent Trustpilot listings only, pulled 1 September 2026. On-site widgets (Vital 4.9 from 1,012+; Rouge 4.7 from 1,438) are not mixed in.
Rouge Care on rougecare.ca: 4.5 / 5 from 13 reviews. The sample is thin. Direct HTML fetch returned a bot wall on 1 September 2026. Score and count were confirmed the same day from the live Trustpilot index.
Vital Red Light on vitalredlight.com: 4.8 / 5 from 83 reviews. Same bot wall; same-day index confirmation.
Award the row on score plus sample. 4.8 from 83 beats 4.5 from 13. Vital wins user reviews. Thirteen reviews is not a sample you can lean on.
Trial, returns, and warranty
Both quote three years. Trial is not a tie. Rouge: 60 days on panels, no restocking fee, customer pays return freight; stands 20 percent restocking. Vital: 30 days on home devices only; commercial units and stands non-returnable; customer pays return freight.
Rouge wins trial length. Vital’s 30-day home-only window is still a real trial. Neither brand prepays return freight on the terms pulled here.
A note on FDA
Home panels are FDA-registered, not cleared, for general wellness. Rouge describes its devices that way and lists FDA-registered, RoHS, CE, FCC, and Health Canada. This page does not flag Rouge for false medical-grade marketing.
Vital’s 2.0 pages market FDA-cleared / Class II, with a footnote pointing at 510(k) documentation. No K-number was found here. The accurate line remains FDA-registered, not cleared, for home panels. Rouge wins the honesty row. Treat both as wellness panels.
Pricing: live stickers, 1 September 2026

| Panel price | $483 (compare-at $645) | $599 | $399 (compare-at $479) | $221 (compare-at $295) |
| Stand | Door hardware in box. Floor stand extra | Tabletop stand included | Tabletop class | Handheld / travel |
| Realistic total | $483 hanging | $599 with tabletop stand | $399 | $221 |
| Body coverage | Face, desk, one joint | Face, desk, one joint, nine named bands | Face, desk, four bands | Spot only |
Vital Pro at $399 is the 4-band entry. Rouge Tabletop G4 at $483 is the cheapest 1060 nm panel in this pairing. Vital Pro 2.0 at $599 is the cheapest nine-band 1060 nm panel, and it includes a tabletop stand. Those are three different jobs. Rouge Nano at $221 is a 660/850 travel light, not an 8-band rival.
Tier 2: Mid panel (about 36 in)
| Rouge Pro G4 | Vital Elite 2.0 | Vital Elite | |
|---|---|---|---|
| LEDs | 288 dual-chip | 216 | 210 |
| H x W | 36.22 x 11.81 in | 36.6 x 8.5 in (tech spec) | 36.6 x 8.5 in |

| Realistic total | $1,226 with floor stand | $1,598 with Bootstand | $1,098 with Bootstand |
| Body coverage | Half-body height, ~12 in wide, 8-band 1060 nm | Half-body height, ~8.5 in wide, 9 named bands | Half-body height, 4 bands |
On a 36-inch wall, Labor Day Pro G4 at $1,121 undercuts Elite 2.0 at $1,499, is wider (11.81 vs 8.5 in), and already includes 1060 nm. Elite 2.0 is the 9-band answer in this height. Elite 1.0 at $999 is the 4-band answer. If 1060 nm is required, Elite 1.0 is the wrong row.
Tier 3: Tall single panel
| Rouge Max G4 | Rouge Ultimate G4 | Vital home line | |
|---|---|---|---|
| LEDs | 576 dual-chip | 1,152 dual-chip | No 71-inch home panel. Elite 2.0 is 36.6 in |
| H x W | 71.65 x 11.81 in | 71.65 x 22.83 in | n/a at this height |
| Bands | 8 including 1060 nm | 8 including 1060 nm | n/a |
| Panel price | $2,246 (compare-at $2,995) | $4,196 (compare-at $5,595) | Two Elite 2.0 about $2,998 before a multi-panel stand |
| Stand example | Floor $168. Motorized $746 | Floor $262. Motorized $746 | Full Motion $1,995 if stacking commercial-style |
| Realistic total | $2,414 with floor stand | $4,458 with floor stand | Not a like-for-like single panel |
| Body coverage | Adult height, ~12 in stripe, 8-band 1060 nm | Adult height and width, 8-band 1060 nm | Would need two 36-inch panels and still be narrow |
This is the row that decides the overall trophy for most buyers. Vital does not sell a 71-inch home panel. Rouge does, with 1060 nm in the mix, at a live $2,246 (Max) or $4,196 (Ultimate). Stacking two Elite 2.0 panels is a different product, a different stand bill, and still about 8.5 to 9.5 inches of width.
Who should choose Rouge Care?
Choose Rouge for a panel an adult can stand in front of. Max G4 at 71.65 x 11.81 in, live $2,246, is the height buy. Ultimate G4 at 71.65 x 22.83 in, live $4,196, is height plus width. Both carry eight G4 bands including 1060 nm. Vital’s home line does not offer that chassis.
Choose Rouge Tabletop G4 at $483 if 1060 nm on a desk is the ceiling. You give up Vital’s 480 and 590 nm, the included stand, and the thicker Trustpilot sample.
Choose Rouge for a 60-day trial, dual-disclosed irradiance, extra reds at 650 and 670 nm, and per-wavelength dimming. Dual-chip even split is the trade: 1060 nm is present, not dominant.
Who should choose Vital Red Light?
Choose Vital Pro 2.0 at $599 for nine named bands including 1060, 480, and 590 nm, a tabletop stand in the box, and 2.0 presets. That is the genuine runner-up niche. Rouge does not match blue and yellow on a desk panel.
Choose Vital if Trustpilot 4.8 from 83 matters more than a thin 4.5 from 13, or if $399 for a 4-band Pro is the budget and 1060 nm is not required, or if a 36-inch Elite 2.0 at $1,499 is enough height for a torso stripe.
Do not choose Elite 2.0 expecting Max G4 coverage. Do not choose non-2.0 Elite or Pro if 1060 nm is the point. Do not treat 150 to 210 mW/cm2 as a 6-inch spectrometer figure.
If this pairing is not the last word

Funnel only · not the overall winner of this page
RLT Home Total Spectrum, if a third catalog is still in play
RLT Home is not the overall winner of Rouge vs Vital. It is a third option with published per-band density, seven wavelengths including 480 nm and 1064 nm, spectrometer peaks at 6 inches, nine science-built modes, a free personalised weekly plan, and a stand in the full-body boxes. Live 1 September 2026 stickers from redlighttherapyhome.com/products.json: RLT Home MINI $495, RLT Home COMPACT $995, RLT Home MAX $1,595, RLT Home ULTRA $2,595, RLT Home ELITE $4,495. TOP10 is 6 percent off those live prices only, nearest dollar: $465, $935, $1,499, $2,439, $4,225. No Rouge or Vital code is invented to match it.
If Rouge stays on your shortlist against a different catalog, Rouge vs Mito, Rouge vs Joovv, Rouge vs PlatinumLED, Rouge vs BlockBlueLight, Rouge vs Hooga, Rouge vs BON CHARGE, Rouge vs Infraredi, and Rouge vs Helio Cure score it against other brands. If Vital is the pull, read Vital vs Mito, Vital vs Helio Cure, Vital vs Infraredi, Joovv vs Vital, or BlockBlueLight vs Vital.
The verdict
🏆 Winner: Rouge Care
For most buyers who want one home panel they can stand in front of. 71.65-inch Max and Ultimate, eight G4 bands including 1060 nm at an even dual-chip share, dual-disclosed 6-inch spectrometer figures, a 60-day panel trial, and a live Labor Day 25 percent off that puts Tabletop G4 at $483 and Max G4 at $2,246.
🥈 Runner-up: Vital Red Light
For the genuine niche: $399 Pro and $599 Pro 2.0. Nine named 2.0 bands including 1060, 480, and 590 nm on a tabletop that includes its stand, plus Trustpilot 4.8 / 5 from 83 reviews against Rouge’s thin 4.5 from 13. Elite 2.0 at $1,499 is the 36-inch 9-band wall, not a 71-inch rival.
This page names one overall winner because most home-panel buyers are shopping coverage, not a named-band count on a 12-inch box. Vital takes the runner-up niche on sticker and public reviews. RLT Home is not on the trophy.

It has more named bands, including 480 nm blue and 590 nm yellow that G4 does not list. It also costs $599 versus $483, and Vital does not publish how much of the $599 output sits in 1060 nm. Tabletop G4 publishes an even ~12.5 percent G4 split and dual-discloses a 6-inch spectrometer figure. Count is not density. Pick Pro 2.0 for the named 2.0 list and included stand. Pick Tabletop G4 for cheaper 1060 nm with a published even share.
Is Elite 2.0 a full-body panel the way Max G4 is?
No. Elite 2.0 is 36.6 inches tall and about 8.5 inches wide. Max G4 is 71.65 x 11.81 in. Vital can call Elite 2.0 full-body in marketing. Physically it is a half-body stripe. Two Elite 2.0 panels can approach height. They will not match Ultimate width, and they will cost about $2,998 before a stand.
Can the solar 164 figure be compared to Vital’s 150 to 210 range?
No. Rouge’s 164 mW/cm2 is a solar meter at 6 inches. Vital’s 150 to 210 mW/cm2 does not name a meter or a distance. Spectrometer belongs with spectrometer. Rouge’s own spectrometer column is 79 to 90 mW/cm2 at 6 in. Outliyr’s Elite 1.0 figure is 78.3 mW/cm2 at 12 in. Those two spectrometer numbers are still at different distances.
Is dual-chip a reason to skip Rouge?
No. Dual-chip is how G4 builds an eight-band panel in one lamp. It forces the even split and it splits wattage per wavelength compared with a single-chip 5W at one peak. It also spreads two colors from one point. Record it as architecture. It is not a defect stamp.
Which Trustpilot score counts?
The independent listings pulled 1 September 2026: Rouge Care 4.5 / 5 from 13 reviews (thin) on rougecare.ca, Vital 4.8 / 5 from 83 reviews on vitalredlight.com. On-site 4.9 and 4.7 widgets are not this row. Vital wins score plus sample.
Is there a TOP10 code for Rouge or Vital?
No. TOP10 6 percent off is RLT Home only, applied to the live 1 September 2026 stickers for RLT Home MINI, COMPACT, MAX, ULTRA, and ELITE. This page does not invent a Rouge or Vital coupon.
Are these panels FDA-cleared?
Home panels in this category are FDA-registered, not cleared, for general wellness. Rouge’s own wellness language matches that. Vital’s Class II / cleared phrasing is not backed by a K-number found here. Sessions may help a wellness routine. They are not a treatment plan.
Bottom line
Rouge Care wins this pairing for most home-panel buyers because coverage is the daily-use fact: 71.65-inch G4 panels with eight wavelengths including 1060 nm, dual-disclosed 6-inch spectrometer figures, a 60-day trial, and Labor Day stickers that put a 1060 nm tabletop at $483 and a 71-inch Max at $2,246. Vital Red Light is the genuine runner-up for people who want nine named 2.0 bands including 1060 nm on a $599 Pro 2.0, a $399 4-band Pro, and a Trustpilot sample of 83 reviews instead of 13. RLT Home is a funnel option, not the overall winner. Measure density, not count. Measure spectrometer against spectrometer. Stand in front of the height you are actually buying.
