Dual winner. Vital for 1060 nm on a $599 Pro 2.0. Mito for published 17% at 810 nm and a 60-day trial. RLT Home is not a winner on this page.

This is not a 64-inch lie-under fight. Vital Elite 2.0 is 36.6 x 8.5 inches. MitoPRO 1500X is 10 x 43 inches. The honest overlap is tabletop and torso-height home use, plus the wavelength story each brand actually publishes. Prices are manufacturer stickers pulled 1 September 2026 from each store’s products.json. No coupon is invented. Code TOP10 is 6 percent off RLT Home only and appears only in the funnel below.

At-a-glance verdict: Dual winner. Vital for nine named wavelengths including 1060 nm, especially on the $599 Pro 2.0. Mito for published 17 percent at 810 nm, a 60-day trial, ADAPT modes, or a $249 on-ramp. Sessions may help a general wellness routine. Neither panel treats disease. Vital Red Light

Nine named 2.0 bands, including 1060 nm, on a short home stack

Vital Elite 2.0 red light therapy panel
Vital Elite 2.0, 216 LEDs, nine named wavelengths, live price $1,499. Stand sold separately. Manufacturer CDN photo.

Vital Red Light is a Florida home-panel line. Live 1 September 2026 home catalog: Pro $399, Pro 2.0 $599, Elite $999, Elite 2.0 $1,499, plus Charge $299. Commercial Premier, Ultimate, and Bed SKUs sit at $7,995 to $24,995, final sale, and out of this pairing. The 2.0 trick is nine named wavelengths including 1060 nm. Density is unpublished. Outliyr measured Elite 1.0 at 78.3 mW/cm² at 12 inches. Brand pages still print 150 to 210 mW/cm² with method unstated. Those two families do not mix.

Mito Red Light

The published-density size ladder, without 1064 nm

MitoPRO X red light therapy panel series
MitoPRO X series, manufacturer CDN photo. Six bands, from $449. Live 1 September 2026 catalog. This is Mito Red Light at mitoredlight.com, not MITO LIGHT Europe.

Mito Red Light has sold home panels from Arizona since 2018. Live ladder: MitoPRO X from $449, MitoADAPT 4.0 from $549, MitoPRO+ v2 from $369, and a 660/850 2.0 line from $249 with a two-year warranty. MegaX is not a live products.json variant. Floor stand $139. Universal $349. MitoPRO X publishes 17 percent at 810 nm and 0 percent at 1064 nm. ADAPT lists 940 nm as an even eighth. 940 nm is not 1064 nm. TruDUAL dual-chip on X and ADAPT is a construction fact, not an insult.

Spectrum and wavelength density: the most important difference

Count is not the story. Density is the share of diodes in each band. A nine-name headline can still put most energy into 660 and 850 nm. A six-name headline can put 17 percent into 810 nm.

Vital: nine named 2.0 bands, share unpublished

Vital 1.0 (Pro, Elite) lists four bands. Outliyr’s Elite 1.0 spectrometer trace found 630, 660, 830, and 850 nm. This page uses that measured set for Elite 1.0 and treats 810 nm as a 2.0 addition. Allocation on 1.0 is unpublished.

Vital 2.0 lists nine: 480, 590, 630, 660, 670, 810, 830, 850, and 1060 nm. That named list is the genuine Vital advantage. Mito has no 1060 nm, no 1064 nm, and no 480 nm on the panel lines. MitoPRO X and ADAPT do carry 590 nm (6 percent and 12.5 percent). LED share on Vital 2.0 is unpublished. Nine names are not nine equal slices, and this page will not invent a 14 percent 1060 nm figure. 1060 nm is not 1064 nm. An unpublished LED slice is not a transcranial laser trial.

Mito: published 17 percent at 810 nm, and still no 1064 nm

MitoPRO X prints 6/22/22/17/17/17 at 590/630/660/810/830/850 nm. That 17 percent at 810 nm is a published share Vital has not matched. MitoPRO+ is 25 percent each at 630, 660, 830, and 850, with no 810 nm. The 2.0 series is 50/50 660 and 850 nm. ADAPT 4.0 splits eight circuits evenly, including 940 nm. Live products.json still has no 1064 nm variant. Dual-chip TruDUAL is how X and ADAPT run independent red and NIR circuits. It is not a reason to dismiss those 17 percent figures, and it is not a reason to pretend a dual-chip 810 nm peak equals a single-chip peak of the same wattage.

Edge: Vital on named-band breadth, including 1060 nm, 590 nm yellow, 670 nm, and 480 nm on 2.0, with the honest limit that share is unpublished. Mito on published 17 percent at 810 nm and on a density table a buyer can actually check. Density beats count. 1060 nm is not 1064 nm. 940 nm is not 1064 nm either.

Vital Pro 2.0 tabletop red light therapy panel
Vital Pro 2.0, 72 LEDs, nine named wavelengths including 1060 nm, live price $599. A rare sub-$1,000 panel that lists 1060 nm. Manufacturer CDN photo.

Power and Irradiance: Measured by Independent Third Parties

Two measurement families show up around these catalogs. Peak-to-peak or average-to-average only. Never mix a solar-meter headline with a spectrometer cell, and never mix a no-distance catalog range with a 6-inch or 12-inch lab figure.

Vital, unstated-method catalog claims. Every home panel page prints 150 to 210 mW/cm² with distance and instrument unstated. Do not put that range next to a Mito spectrometer reading, and do not treat Charge and Elite 2.0 as the same dose because they share the same range.

Vital, spectrometer. Outliyr measured a Vital Elite 1.0 sample with a Hopoocolor OHSP-350IR at 78.3 mW/cm² at 12 inches, peaks at 630, 660, 830, and 850 nm (certification N8XBRBPMP9). Outliyr listed 192 LEDs on that sample; Vital’s live Elite page lists 210. Both figures are reported. No public Outliyr cell is cited here for Pro, Pro 2.0, or Elite 2.0.

Mito, brand twins and independent spectrometer. Mito prints solar and spectrometer twins at six inches (example: MitoPRO 1500X, greater than 160 solar / greater than 73 spectrometer). Light Therapy Insiders measured a 300X at about 60 peak / 51.8 average, a 1500+ at about 87 / 76.5, and an ADAPT MAX at about 74 / 58, all at 6 inches. Quote spectrometer against spectrometer. Vital’s public independent cell is 12 inches; Mito’s are 6 inches. This page does not convert one into the other with a homemade multiplier.

Model Brand irradiance Independent spectrometer Note
Vital Pro / Pro 2.0 150 to 210 mW/cm², distance unstated Not cited here Do not borrow the Elite 12-inch cell
Vital Elite 1.0 150 to 210 mW/cm², distance unstated Outliyr 78.3 mW/cm² at 12 in Hopoocolor OHSP-350IR; 630/660/830/850 nm
Vital Elite 2.0 150 to 210 mW/cm², distance unstated Not cited here Nine bands, still no published 6-inch spectrometer average on this page
MitoPRO 300X >130 solar / >56 spectrometer at 6 in LTI peak ~60 / avg 51.8 at 6 in Quote spectrometer against spectrometer
MitoPRO 1500X class >160 solar / >73 spectrometer at 6 in 1500+ LTI peak ~87 / avg 76.5 at 6 in 1500+ is the nearest published LTI cousin, not a separate 1500X cell
MitoADAPT MAX 4.0 >140 solar / >60 spectrometer at 6 in LTI peak ~74 / avg 58 at 6 in Eight-circuit panel, 940 nm included

Edge: Mito on line-wide 6-inch spectrometer twins plus LTI cells a buyer can actually compare. Vital on one named independent 12-inch Elite 1.0 cell. Do not crown Vital on 150 to 210, and do not crown Mito by mixing solar into that fight.

Vital Elite 1.0 red light therapy panel
Vital Elite, 210 LEDs, four named bands, live price $999. Outliyr measured this generation at 78.3 mW/cm² at 12 inches. Manufacturer CDN photo.

LED chips: dual-chip is a fact, unpublished is also a fact

MitoPRO X and MitoADAPT use TruDUAL dual-chip packages: one lens, two chips. A 300X is 60 lenses / 120 chips. A 1500X is 300 lenses / 600 chips. Dual-chip is a construction fact, not a smear, and not the same per-band peak as a single-chip diode of the same wattage. Vital lists 5W LEDs. Chip configuration is not published. LED counts: Pro 70, Pro 2.0 72, Elite 210, Elite 2.0 216.

Edge: Mito on a published chip architecture. Vital on unpublished configuration. Density still does more work than chip slogans.

Beam angle

Vital publishes 30 degrees. Mito publishes 60 degrees. A narrower beam concentrates energy; a wider beam covers more skin. Neither number is “more power.” Intensity belongs in the spectrometer section. Vital’s 30-degree figure can help an 8.5-inch Elite put more output on a torso. It does not convert 78.3 mW/cm² at 12 inches into a 6-inch Mito cell.

Edge: Vital on 30 degrees. Mito on 60 degrees. Quote the angles. Do not convert them into fake irradiance.

Coverage, height, and what full body actually means

Panel height and width decide whether a session is a face, a torso, or a shift-and-repeat routine. LED count without area is marketing.

Vital Pro and Pro 2.0: 12.5 x 8.5 inches, 70 or 72 LEDs, tabletop in the box. Face and desk. Elite and Elite 2.0: 36.6 x 8.5 inches, 210 or 216 LEDs. At 8.5 inches wide an adult torso is not covered in one stance. At 36.6 inches high, head-to-toe still needs a shift or a commercial system.

MitoPRO 300X: 9.5 x 14.5 inches, 60 lenses. 750X: 10 x 23, 150 lenses. 1500X: 10 x 43, 300 lenses, taller than Elite, still a 10-inch strip. ADAPT MAX: 12 x 36 inches, 288 lenses. A 750X plus 1500X hang at $1,948 before a $349 stand increases coverage area, not irradiance on one spot. Vital does not sell a named two-Elite home kit. Premier at $7,995 is commercial, final sale, and not Elite 2.0 with a second panel.

Edge: Mito on a 43-inch single (1500X) and on a published two-panel hang. Vital on a denser-feeling 8.5-inch column if a buyer wants a slim 36-inch footprint and will accept the width limit. Neither is a 64-inch lie-under chassis.

MitoPRO X on a floor stand. Floor stand live price $139, sold separately. Manufacturer CDN photo.

Modes, apps, and named presets

Vital 1.0: 10-minute auto shutoff, red / near-infrared / both. No touchscreen, no named condition presets, no app. That is a simpler panel, not a hidden spec.

Vital 2.0: LED touchscreen, 20-minute default timer, and six on-device presets labelled Fat Loss, Skin, Pets, Muscle, Sleep, and Joint Pain. Those are manufacturer labels, not clinical evidence. Pets is a genuine Vital extra. The 2.0 app advertises 100-plus programs. Vital does not publish a Hertz range table. This page does not invent one.

MitoPRO+ and 2.0: timer, no published condition presets, no app. MitoPRO X: touchscreen and companion app. MitoADAPT 4.0: 11 wavelength-combination modes. Those 11 modes are the genuine Mito extra. They are circuit combinations, not a Pets label. For an offline timer-only panel, Vital 1.0 or MitoPRO+ / Mito 2.0 are the answers inside this pairing. HSA/FSA is a checkout path on both brands, not a clinical indication.

Edge: Vital on Pets, on six named 2.0 presets, and on a 2.0 app with a large program list. Mito on 11 ADAPT circuit modes and on a no-app timer path (PRO+ / 2.0) that does not require a phone. Labels are convenience. They are not trials.

MitoADAPT 4.0 series, eight wavelengths including 940 nm, 11 named modes, from $549. Manufacturer CDN photo.

What is in the box

Live Vital box lists:

  • Pro / Pro 2.0: panel, tabletop stand, power cable, eyewear. Pro 2.0 adds a basic remote. Full remote $199 extra.
  • Elite / Elite 2.0: panel, power cable, eyewear. Elite 1.0 includes a wall/door kit. Bootstand, FlexStand, and the $199 remote are add-ons on 2.0.

Live Mito box lists, per series FAQ:

  • Small kits: tabletop in the box. Floor stand extra ($139). Universal $349.
  • MitoPRO X and ADAPT: opaque goggles plus IR3 glasses, per the in-the-box FAQ. Not stated the same way for PRO+ and 2.0.

Eyewear is in the Vital home-panel boxes. Manufacturer notes: use protection when NIR is on, and do not stare into the LEDs. Guidelines, not prescriptions.

Edge: Vital on tabletop-in-box for Pro / Pro 2.0 and goggles in every home-panel box. Mito on two styles of eyewear in the X / ADAPT box and a cheaper floor stand ($139 versus Bootstand 2.0 at $199). Neither includes a motorized stand in the panel price.

User reviews

Public reviews are scored from independent Trustpilot listings pulled 1 September 2026. Manufacturer on-site star widgets are a different dataset and are not mixed in. Direct Trustpilot HTML fetch returned a challenge or HTTP 500 from this environment, so score and count were confirmed from the live Trustpilot result index for those URLs the same day.

Trustpilot · Vital Red Light

4.8 / 5

83 reviews on trustpilot.com/review/vitalredlight.com, checked 1 September 2026.

Eighty-three reviews is usable, still small next to 756. A 4.8 average can move. Individual reviews are opinions, not outcomes data.

Trustpilot · Mito Red Light

4.4 / 5

756 reviews on trustpilot.com/review/www.mitoredlight.com, checked 1 September 2026. Mito currently replies to 100% of negative reviews on that page. This is Mito Red Light USA, not MITO LIGHT Europe (mitolight.com, 4.8 from 399 on a different listing).

The 756-review sample is large. Praise centers on build and shipping. Complaints center on mixed support and stands.

User reviews are a split on score plus sample. Vital 4.8 from 83. Mito 4.4 from 756. Eighty-three reviews is not too thin to count, and 756 is not a reason to ignore a 0.4 gap. This row is not awarded to one brand. On-site shop stars stay off this row.

Trial, returns, and warranty

Vital: 30 days on home units, no restocking fee stated, customer pays return shipping. Commercial SKUs and stands tagged Final Sale are out of that window. Warranty on live home-panel pages is three years. Shipping is listed as free worldwide from Boca Raton, FL.

Mito: 60 days, no restocking fee, customer-paid return freight unless a paid add-on was bought. Flagship warranty three years. The 2.0 series is two years. Free standard shipping on US orders (lower 48). Thirty versus sixty days is not a rounding error. Flagship warranty years are a draw at three.

Edge: Mito on trial length. Vital on a three-year term that also covers Pro 2.0. Neither pays return shipping by default on a change-of-mind return.

A note on FDA

Every home red light panel sold in the United States is FDA-registered, a listing not clearance. Vital prints “FDA-Cleared Technology” and “Class II Medical Device,” with a 510(k) footnote. No public K-number was found for these home panels. This page records the print and describes the devices as FDA-registered. It does not smear the brand and does not repeat uncleared-as-cleared.

Mito markets MitoPRO X and MitoADAPT as medical-grade and FDA Class II registered. No home panel holds a medical-grade performance classification. The MitoGLOW mask is cleared and is not a body panel. Fair to raise that factually.

Edge: Draw. Both are FDA-registered home panels. Vital’s FDA-Cleared chrome and Mito’s medical-grade chrome are honesty flags, not clearance.

The verdict: dual winners

This pairing does not crown one catalog for every buyer. Dual winner, not a third-brand crown. Vital takes nine named 2.0 bands including 1060 nm on the $599 Pro 2.0. Mito takes published 17 percent at 810 nm, a 60-day trial, ADAPT modes, and the $249 on-ramp.

🏆 Dual winner, Vital

For nine named bands and 1060 nm under $1,000

Choose Vital for Pro 2.0 at $599 with nine listed wavelengths including 1060 nm, or Elite 2.0 at $1,499. Budget a bootstand on Elite, a 30-day trial, and unpublished density. Trustpilot 4.8 from 83. 1060 nm is not 1064 nm.

🏆 Dual winner, Mito

For published 810 nm density and a 60-day trial

Choose Mito for 17% at 810 nm, 11 ADAPT modes, a 43-inch 1500X, a $249 on-ramp, or a 60-day trial. Buyers accept no 1064 nm and dual-chip packages. This is Mito Red Light, not MITO LIGHT Europe. Trustpilot 4.4 from 756.
