Rouge Care sells a Canadian G4 ladder with eight published bands, including 1060 nm, on every Tabletop through Ultimate panel, and a 71-inch Ultimate chassis. Joovv sells Mini through Elite as matching 660 plus 850 nm modules, a Bluetooth Recovery+ app, and a 60-day no-restock modular return. Criterion rows split. The overall winner is chosen from these two catalogs only.

16-brand ranking

See how Rouge and Joovv sit next to fourteen other panels

This pairing answers one question: which of these two catalogs fits a given brief. The ranking keeps both of them on one scoreboard with the rest of the field, so an 8-band 71-inch chassis and a Mini-to-Elite wall can be scored in the same table.

Open the 16-brand ranking

The brands at a glance

Rouge Care

Rouge Care is a Canadian panel brand. G4 puts eight wavelengths on every Tabletop, Pro, Max, and Ultimate, including 1060 nm, in an even ~12.5 percent dual-chip split. The brand publishes solar and spectrometer figures on the same spec sheet. Labor Day on 1 September 2026 is 25 percent off, Nano $221 through Ultimate $4,196, stands extra. Warranty is three years. The 60-day panel return has no restocking fee. Rouge describes the devices as low-risk general wellness products, not “medical grade.”

Joovv

Joovv is the US modular brand. Every Generation 3.0 brick is 660 nm plus 850 nm. Mini through Elite add area, not bands. Recovery+ pulses at 10 Hz through a Bluetooth app. The 60-day modular return has no flat restocking fee. Warranty is two years. Live stickers on 1 September 2026 run Mini $1,099 through Elite $11,099. The homepage leads with “True Medical-Grade” while the brand’s Class II language says registration is not clearance. Trustpilot the same day is 1.6 from 74 reviews. The sample is large enough to count, and it is harsh.

Spectrum and wavelength density

Wavelength count is the easy headline. Density is the useful one. Rouge G4 ships eight bands. Joovv Generation 3.0 ships two.

On a G4 panel, dual-chip construction places two chips in every LED package, so each of the eight bands lands at about 12.5 percent of output. Four reds take about 50 percent. 810, 830, and 850 nm share 37.5 percent. 1060 nm gets 12.5 percent. That is a construction artifact, not a study-tuned recipe. The concession still matters: Rouge has 1060 nm, 810 nm, and 830 nm. Joovv has none of those three.

Joovv puts the entire array into 660 nm and 850 nm. Mini 3.0 is 60 LEDs split 30/30. Solo 3.0 is 150 LEDs split 76 red / 74 NIR, about 51/49. Larger SKUs add modules, not new peaks. Density, not count, awards the 660/850 row to Joovv.

Rouge Nano is 24 dual-chip lamps at 660 plus 850 nm, $221, not an 8-band G4. This page does not treat it as one.

The overall spectrum row goes to Rouge because G4 covers 810, 830, and 1060 nm. Joovv keeps the 660/850 density row. Both are real.

Power and Irradiance: Measured by Independent Third Parties

This heading is a method rule, not a slogan. Spectrometer numbers compare to spectrometer numbers. Solar-meter numbers compare to solar-meter numbers. Mixing them is how a 164 mW/cm² solar figure beats a 72 mW/cm² spectrometer figure on a spreadsheet and loses on physics. This page will not do that.

Rouge publishes both methods at six inches on the G4 spec sheets: 164 mW/cm² solar across the line, and spectrometer figures of 79 (Tabletop), 90 (Pro), 81 (Max), and 85 (Ultimate), in mW/cm². An integrating-sphere lab report is also cited. That dual-disclose is a genuine advantage against a brand that does not put a spectrometer table on the product page.

Joovv claims greater than 100 mW/cm² at the surface. The method and the distance are not a public spectrometer table. Independent Light Therapy Insiders measurements of the Solo 3.0 report a peak of 72.4 mW/cm² and an average of 59.2. The same lab’s Rouge Pro G4 figures are a peak of 65 and an average of 59.2. Peak-to-peak, Joovv Solo wins that independent snapshot. Average-to-average, the two panels tie at 59.2. Those sentences use one lab and one class of instrument. They do not invite Rouge’s 164 solar figure into the fight, and they do not invite Joovv’s “>100 at surface” claim as a spectrometer peer.

Independent LTI, method-matched: Joovv Solo peak 72.4 versus Rouge Pro peak 65. Averages 59.2 versus 59.2. Published dual-disclose at six inches: Rouge. Brand-only surface claim: Joovv, not used as a spectrometer number.

Dual-chip construction is a fact, not a smear

Both catalogs use dual-chip LEDs. Rouge G4 places two chips in each package, which is why the eight-band split is even. Joovv places 660 nm and 850 nm in each LED, which is why the mix is about 50/50. Dual-chip is how both brands build diodes. It is not a character judgment.

What dual-chip does, physically, is split the package’s power across two peaks. Each peak is narrower in power than a single-chip LED driven at the same wattage. The counter-claim is more even surface distribution, which some skin-first buyers prefer. Mitochondrial signalling is not a strictly local paint job, so “even surface” is not an automatic win. In this pairing the chip architecture is shared, so it cannot be the reason one brand loses. The useful difference is which wavelengths sit on those chips, and how much of the output each wavelength actually gets.

Beam angle

Rouge G4 spec sheets list a 30-degree beam on Tabletop, Pro, Max, and Ultimate. A tighter beam concentrates more of the field in front of the panel and drops off faster off-axis. That can be useful at a measured six-inch distance. It also means a user who stands slightly off-centre gets less of the published field.

Joovv does not publish a beam angle on the Generation 3.0 pages checked for this pull. The brick is 8.75 inches wide. A Solo already asks the user to stand in a relatively narrow stripe. Duo stacks that stripe to 72 inches tall and still leaves it 8.75 inches wide. Without a published angle, this page will not invent one, and it will not pretend Joovv’s undocumented beam loses to Rouge’s 30 degrees. The published 30-degree figure is a Rouge fact. Joovv’s silence is a Joovv fact. The row is not a smear. It is an incomplete datasheet on one side.

Coverage, height, and LED density

Full-body is a size claim, not an LED-count claim. A 72-inch strip that is 8.75 inches wide is a tall stripe. A 71-inch panel that is 23 inches wide is a wall. Density is LEDs per square inch.

Pro G4: 36.22 × 11.81 in, 288 LEDs, ~0.67 / sq in. Solo 3.0: 36 × 8.75 in, 150 LEDs, ~0.48. Max G4: 71.65 × 11.81 in, 576 LEDs, ~0.68. Duo: 72 × 8.75 in, 300 LEDs, ~0.48. Ultimate G4: 71.65 × 22.83 in, 1,152 LEDs, ~0.70. Elite: 72 × 26.25 in, 900 LEDs, ~0.48. Elite is slightly wider. Ultimate is denser and thousands of dollars less on 1 September 2026. Joovv Max 3.0 (50.75 × 17.5 in, 420 LEDs, $5,999) is the modular mid with no G4 twin. Growth is Joovv’s coverage story. Packing is Rouge’s.

Modes, apps, and pulsing

Joovv’s software row is Recovery+: 10 Hz pulsed, plus Ambient and Wake, over Bluetooth. The cost is an internet-connected session. Rouge G4 lets red and NIR groups run together or independently. Condition preset names are not verified on this pull, so this page will not invent them. Joovv cannot split 660 from 850, because those chips share the diode.

Recovery+ at 10 Hz is a Joovv win. Independent red/NIR groups on G4 are a Rouge win. This page does not invent a Rouge app feature to even the row.

In the box, stands, and realistic totals

Neither brand includes a floor stand on the panel SKU. Rouge G4 boxes list goggles. Joovv Generation 3.0 boxes list protective eyewear. Eyewear is even. The stand invoice is not a surprise fee in the sense of a hidden line. It is a second SKU both stores expect the buyer to notice.

Rouge Labor Day stand stickers, 1 September 2026: Floor Stand for Pro G4 $105, Floor Stand for Max G4 $168, Floor Stand for Ultimate G4 $262, pneumatic stand $427, Small Motorized Stand $525, Motorized Stand G4 $746. Compare-at values are 25 percent higher, same sale as the panels. Stands and racks carry a 20 percent restocking fee if returned, and they must be unassembled and in mint condition. Panels do not carry that restock.

Joovv stand stickers the same day: Boot Floor Stand 3.0 $200, Mini Stand 3.0 $250, oversized door kit $85, Boot Floor Stand retrofit $225. US ground shipping is signature-required. Max, Quad, and Elite ship freight with curbside delivery. A refused freight delivery forfeits original and return shipping. That is not a restocking fee. It is a logistics cost that shows up when a signature is missed, which Trustpilot reviewers describe in plain language.

Free shipping is a Rouge line for USA and Canada on the catalog pull. Joovv charges through the shipping policy above. For a Canadian household, Rouge’s own warehouse story is the simpler invoice. For a US household that wants door-mounted modules, Joovv’s door kit is the simpler hardware, at $85, as long as the door and the signature process cooperate.

User reviews from independent Trustpilot

On-site star widgets stay off this page. Trustpilot listings were pulled 1 September 2026. The row is awarded on score plus sample size, not on how premium the unboxing looks.

Rouge Care · Trustpilot

4.5 / 5

13 reviews · rougecare.ca · pulled 1 September 2026

The score is high. The sample is thin, and this page says so. Thirteen reviews cannot map a decade of panel ownership. Thin and positive is still thin. It is not mixed with Rouge’s on-site review wall.

Joovv · Trustpilot

1.6 / 5

74 reviews · www.joovv.com · pulled 1 September 2026

The score is harsh. The sample is large enough to take seriously. Recurring public themes are customer service, signature-required shipping that bounces back, and return logistics. Score plus sample awards the row to Rouge. The thin-sample caveat stays on Rouge’s 4.5. It is not a reason to flip the badge to 1.6 from 74.

Trial, returns, and warranty

Both panel lines offer 60 days with no flat restocking fee on the light. Both ask the buyer to pay return shipping. Both want the unit complete, like-new, in original packaging. That is why the trial row is marked even for the core panels.

The edges still differ. Rouge charges 20 percent restocking on stands and racks. Joovv does not refund original outbound shipping, and return freight is the customer’s. Joovv Go 2.0 is a different contract: 30 days, $50 restock if opened, one-year warranty. A Mini-to-Elite buyer never has to touch the Go. A gift-buyer who lands on the handheld does.

Warranty is not even. Rouge: three years on materials and workmanship, with free replacements warranted six months. Joovv: two years on Generation 3.0 modular devices. A year of extra coverage on a $4,196 Ultimate is a smaller percentage of sticker than a year on an $11,099 Elite, but the Elite is the device that would benefit more from the longer clock, and it is the one that does not get it. Warranty row: Rouge.

Neither brand pays the return label on a change-of-mind. The 60-day no-restock clock is even on the core panels.

FDA-registered, not cleared

Every home red light panel in this comparison is FDA-registered. Registration is not clearance and not approval to treat disease. Sessions may help a wellness routine. They are not a prescription.

Joovv’s homepage leads with “True Medical-Grade.” The same brand states, in its Class II language, that registration is not clearance or approval. Those two sentences can live on one domain. This page will not launder the homepage claim into a clinical classification. No home panel in this pairing is FDA-cleared as a treatment device.

Rouge describes the G4 line as low-risk general wellness products per FDA guidance. It does not hang the catalog on “medical grade.” That is the more accurate public posture of the two, and it is why the FDA-language row goes to Rouge. Joovv’s Intertek safety marks and UL-listed component language are real hardware facts. Safety listing is not the same as a cleared indication.

Pricing: live stickers, 1 September 2026

Rouge Labor Day is 25 percent off the compare-at across the panel and stand SKUs pulled from rouge.care/products.json. Nano $221 (was $295). Tabletop G4 $483 (was $645). Pro G4 $1,121 (was $1,495). Max G4 $2,246 (was $2,995). Ultimate G4 $4,196 (was $5,595). No invented checkout code is required for those sale prices. They are the live variant prices.

Joovv live variant prices the same day, from joovv.com/products.json: Mini 3.0 $1,099 (compare-at $1,199). Solo 3.0 $1,699 (compare-at $1,799). Half-Max 3.0 $2,999 (compare-at $3,299). The homepage invites a Labor Day sale. The markdowns are real and milder than Rouge’s 25 percent. This page does not invent a Joovv coupon stack on top of those stickers.

Entry: Tabletop G4 $483 versus Mini $1,099 ($1,349 with Mini Stand). Mid: Pro G4 plus floor $1,226 versus Solo plus boot $1,899. Tall: Max G4 plus floor $2,414 versus Duo plus door kit $3,784. Flagship: Ultimate plus floor $4,458 versus Elite $11,099 plus mount. Quad at $7,399 still sits above Ultimate, with fewer LEDs, fewer bands, and a 17.5-inch face.

Joovv’s sticker is the price of modular design and the option to add a matching brick later. That option has cash value for a specific buyer. It is not a value for a buyer who wants one 71-inch, 8-band panel this month.

No competitor discount codes are invented on this page. TOP10 at 6 percent off is an RLT Home code only. It appears in the funnel section with each RLT Home device named, and it does not apply to Rouge or Joovv.

Park the two-brand fight and open the full ranking

Rouge wins more of the rows that change a September 2026 invoice. Joovv keeps the stacking-and-Recovery+ brief. The 16-brand table is where those two briefs sit next to everyone else, including lines that publish per-wavelength density instead of an even split.

Compare all 16 panels

Who Rouge Care is actually for

Rouge Care is the overall winner in this pairing because the live sticker, the 8-band mix including 1060 nm, the 71-inch Ultimate, the dual irradiance table, the three-year warranty, and the Trustpilot score (thin sample disclosed) all point the same way for most buyers who opened a Rouge versus Joovv tab.

  • Buyers who want 810 nm, 830 nm, and 1060 nm on the face, not only 660 and 850, and who accept an even ~12.5 percent split as the cost of that mix.
  • Buyers who want a 71-inch chassis this month rather than a plan to stack Solos toward 72 inches over several invoices.
  • Buyers who want spectrometer and solar figures on the same spec sheet, and who will not treat 164 solar as a spectrometer win.
  • Buyers who want a three-year warranty and a 60-day panel return with no restocking fee, and who can pay the return label.
  • Buyers shopping Labor Day 2026 who want 25 percent off a G4 rather than a modest compare-at trim on a Joovv brick.

Rouge is the wrong first stop if the brief is “matching 8.75-inch modules I can add for a decade, Recovery+ on my phone, 50 percent of every watt at 660 nm.” That brief is Joovv’s, and it is the runner-up niche this page will not steal.

Who Joovv is actually for

Joovv is the genuine runner-up in this pairing, not a leftover. The catalog fits a buyer who already wants the Mini-to-Elite wall and will pay for it.

  • Households that want matching 8.75-inch-wide modules they can add over years, from Mini to Solo to Duo to Max to Quad to Elite, without changing brands.
  • Buyers who want Recovery+ at 10 Hz, Ambient, and Wake on a Bluetooth app, and who accept a phone in the session.
  • Buyers who want about 50/50 660/850 nm on every watt, with no 630, 650, 670, 810, 830, or 1060 nm in the mix, on purpose.
  • Buyers who want a 60-day modular trial with no flat restocking fee, and who can meet a signature-required delivery.
  • Buyers who care about industrial finish, resale, and the Joovv name on a clinic or gym wall, and who have seen the $11,099 Elite sticker without flinching.

Joovv is the wrong first stop if the brief is “one tall 8-band panel, published spectrometer, three-year warranty, under $5,000 this week.” That brief is Rouge Ultimate G4’s, and on Labor Day it is $4,196 plus a $262 floor stand.

If this pairing is not the last word

This comparison does not crown RLT Home. The two published pages below already exist if a buyer wants each of these brands scored against that seven-band line, including 1064 nm density, motorized stands on full-body models, and a 60-day trial with free insured return shipping. Park this pairing and open the 16-brand table

Rouge and Joovv answer different briefs. The ranking keeps both of them next to fourteen other panels so an 8-band 71-inch G4, a Mini-to-Elite 660/850 wall, and seven-band lines can share one scoreboard.

Verdict

🏆 Winner · Rouge Care

Most buyers in this pairing

Tabletop G4 already undercuts Joovv Mini on sticker, LED count, and published bands at the small end. Ultimate G4 then offers a 71-inch, 23-inch-wide, 1,152-LED, 8-band chassis at $4,196, against Joovv Elite at $11,099. Add a three-year warranty, dual solar plus spectrometer disclosure, and Trustpilot 4.5 from 13 (thin, disclosed) against 1.6 from 74. Dual-chip is shared, so it is not the reason. The even 12.5 percent split is a real G4 limit. It is not enough to hand the pairing to a two-band wall that costs two to three times as much at every useful size.

🥈 Runner-up · Joovv

Mini-to-Elite stacking, Recovery+, 660/850 density

Joovv keeps a real niche: matching modules from Mini to Elite, Recovery+ at 10 Hz, a 60-day no-restock modular trial, and a 50/50 660/850 story that never dilutes as the wall grows. The independent LTI peak on Solo 3.0 (72.4 versus Rouge Pro 65) is a Joovv row. The 1.6 from 74 Trustpilot sample stays visible. The $11,099 Elite sticker is the price of that wall. Buyers who want that wall are not wrong. They are not most buyers in a Rouge versus Joovv tab.

A dual trophy would be honest if the two catalogs won equally different briefs at similar stickers. They do not. Rouge wins more rows that change a purchase (reviews, warranty, disclosure, 1060 nm, height-per-dollar, entry sticker). Joovv wins the rows that define a Joovv buyer. That is a runner-up niche, not a coin flip. RLT Home is not the overall winner of this page.

Frequently asked questions

Does Joovv use only 660 nm and 850 nm?

Yes, on Generation 3.0 panels. Mini through Elite add modules, not bands. Rouge Nano is the one Rouge SKU that also runs 660 plus 850 only. G4 panels do not.

Is Rouge dual-chip a problem next to Joovv?

No. Both catalogs use dual-chip LEDs. Dual-chip is a fact, not a smear. The useful difference is the mix on those chips: even 12.5 percent across eight G4 bands versus Joovv’s 50/50 660/850.

Can this page compare Joovv’s >100 mW/cm² claim to Rouge’s 164 solar figure?

Not as a peak-to-peak. Solar meters and unspecified surface claims are not spectrometer peers. This page quotes Rouge’s 79 to 90 spectrometer column against other spectrometer numbers, and LTI Solo 72.4 peak against Rouge Pro 65 peak. It does not drop 164 solar into that fight.

Who wins user reviews?

Rouge Care, on score plus sample. Trustpilot 1 September 2026: 4.5 / 5 from 13 at rougecare.ca versus 1.6 / 5 from 74 at www.joovv.com. Thin n, still the row. Joovv’s harsh sample is not hidden.

Is there a discount code for Rouge or Joovv here?

No. Labor Day 25 percent is the live Rouge variant price, not a coupon from this site. TOP10 6 percent is RLT Home only, named in the funnel.

Are these panels FDA-cleared?

No. Both are FDA-registered, not cleared. Joovv still leads with “True Medical-Grade.” Use may help a wellness routine. Neither catalog treats disease.

Which full-body panel is actually tall enough and wide enough?

Joovv Duo is 72 by 8.75 inches, a tall stripe. Elite is 72 by 26.25 inches at $11,099. Rouge Ultimate G4 is 71.65 by 22.83 inches at $4,196. Width without a five-figure invoice is Ultimate G4’s row.

Does adding Joovv modules increase irradiance?

No. Adding modules increases coverage area. The dose on one patch of skin stays the dose of one module at that distance. Elite treats more of the body at once. It does not multiply Solo’s independent spectrometer peak by six.

What about Rouge Horizon or Bliss beds, or Joovv Go 2.0?

They exist on the live catalogs (Horizon plus Ultimate $19,867, Bliss $25,500, Go 2.0 $549). This page scores home panels only. Beds and the handheld are out of scope for the winner badge.
