Medical review: All articles on Red Light Therapy Top 10 are reviewed for scientific accuracy by our medical expert team. This page is wellness information, not a diagnosis or a treatment plan. Sessions with either mix may help a general wellness routine. Neither panel is presented as treating disease.

This is a two-brand 1060 nm fight, not a third-brand coronation. Rouge Care is the Canadian G4 catalog: eight listed wavelengths including 1060 nm at about 12.5 percent, a 30-degree beam, and a 71.65-inch Max and Ultimate. PlatinumLED is the BioMax catalog: a 7-band mix with 1060 nm and 480 nm, 90-degree flood optics, Classic next to Pro, and a 36-inch ceiling on any single panel. The dual trophy below is between these two only.

Winner summary · 1060 nm height vs 90-degree flood

Winner for user reviews (public Trustpilot, score plus sample)PlatinumLED (4.1 from 133 vs 4.5 from 13)
Dual winner from these two brands only. Rouge takes 1060 nm density and 71-inch coverage. PlatinumLED takes 90-degree flood, LTI spectrometer power, BioMax Pro density, and the Trustpilot sample that is not thin.

Rouge Care sells from rouge.care. Headquarters sit in Canada. Nano is the dual-band handheld. Tabletop, Pro, Max, and Ultimate share the eight-wavelength dual-chip recipe, a 30-degree beam, seven presets, and an app. PlatinumLED sells from platinumtherapylights.com. The live collection runs Classic BioMax 9th gen and BioMax Pro in parallel. This page scores those 7-band rectangles, not GO, BIO two-band, StudioMAX, or SaunaMAX.

Stickers pulled 1 September 2026 from rouge.care/products.json and platinumtherapylights.com/products.json. Rouge Labor Day 25 percent off is live: Nano $221, Tabletop G4 $483, Pro G4 $1,121, Max G4 $2,246, Ultimate G4 $4,196. PlatinumLED BioMax Pro Nano $799 through Ultra $1,599. Classic BioMax 300 $659 through 900 $1,299. XL motorized stand $869. No competitor coupon is invented. TOP10 is 6 percent off RLT Home only and appears only in the later funnel.

Both offer a three-year panel warranty and a 60-day window. Rouge lists no restocking fee on the light panels, with 20 percent on stands. PlatinumLED lists 20 percent on elective returns and the customer pays return shipping. Both catalogs are FDA-registered, not cleared, for these home panels. Stands are extra except the small Rouge Tabletop stand.

At-a-glance verdict: Rouge for listed 1060 nm as a real share of output, a 71-inch chassis, a 30-degree beam, and a 60-day light return without a 20 percent restock. PlatinumLED for a 90-degree flood, higher LTI spectrometer averages, BioMax Pro density, 480 nm, a cheaper 36-inch sticker, and a Trustpilot sample that is not thin.

The brands at a glance

Rouge Care

The Canadian 8-band, 1060 nm G4 catalog

Rouge put 1060 nm on every full G4 panel and built a 71.65-inch chassis. Max is 11.81 inches wide. Ultimate is 22.83 inches wide with 1,152 dual-chip lamps. The even about 12.5 percent split is what two equal dies in a 5W lamp produce. That still leaves more output at 1060 nm than PlatinumLED’s 660-and-850-weighted blend.

PlatinumLED

The 7-band BioMax house: Classic next to Pro, 90-degree flood

Classic 9th gen and BioMax Pro sit in the same PlatinumLED cart. Both families list 480, 630, 660, 810, 830, 850, and 1060 nm. The brand weights 660 nm and 850 nm on purpose and uses 90-degree optics. A single panel stops at 36 inches. Pro packs more lamps into the same footprint. Clinical-grade wording is marketing language on an FDA-registered listing, not clearance.

Spectrum: count is not density, and 1060 nm is the fight

Eight wavelengths is not automatically more therapy than seven. Density is the share of optical power at each named peak. Rouge G4 splits 630, 650, 660, 670, 810, 830, 850, and 1060 nm evenly at about 12.5 percent each because two equal chips sit in every lamp. Four reds take about half of total output. 1060 nm still receives 12.5 percent. Nano is 660 and 850 nm only.

PlatinumLED lists seven bands: 480, 630, 660, 810, 830, 850, and 1060 nm. The brand table weights 660 and 850. Light Therapy Insiders’ BioMax 450 mix landed near 2/9/39/5/5/36/4. Combined 810 plus 1060 on that mix is about 9 percent. Combined 660 plus 850 is about 75 percent.

The 1060 nm fight is density, not who printed the number. Both did. Rouge puts a larger share of G4 output into 1060 nm. PlatinumLED puts a larger share into 660 nm and 850 nm, and includes 480 nm blue. Rouge includes extra 650 nm and 670 nm reds. Buyers who want 1060 nm as a meaningful slice leave with Rouge.

Edge: Rouge for 1060 nm as a real share of output and for extra 650/670 reds. PlatinumLED for 480 nm and for a deliberate 660/850 weighting. Count of bands is not the row. Density is.

Power and Irradiance: Measured by Independent Third Parties

Spectrometer numbers compare to spectrometer numbers. Solar-meter numbers compare to solar-meter numbers. Mixing the two is how a 164 or a 185 becomes a fake win.

Rouge publishes both. G4 solar-meter figures sit near 164 mW/cm2 at six inches. The spectrometer column is the fair one: Tabletop 79, Pro 90, Max 81, Ultimate 85 mW/cm2 at six inches. Light Therapy Insiders measured a Rouge Pro at peak 65 and average 59.2. Those stay in separate columns.

PlatinumLED links LightLab charts. The independent spectrometer column from Light Therapy Insiders: BioMax 900 peak 113, average 90.3 mW/cm2 at six inches. BioMax 450 peak 96, average 72. BioMax Pro Ultra about peak 120 / average 101 at medium confidence. Peak-to-peak or average-to-average only. LTI Pro 59.2 average versus BioMax 900 90.3 average is a PlatinumLED win on that tool.

Rouge Pro G4 red light therapy panel
Rouge Pro G4, 288 dual-chip LEDs, 36.22 x 11.81 in. Live Labor Day price $1,121. Floor stand $105 extra. Manufacturer CDN photo.
PlatinumLED BioMax 900 red light therapy panel
PlatinumLED BioMax 900 Classic, 300 single-chip LEDs, 36 x 12 in. Live price $1,299. Manufacturer CDN photo. LTI avg 90.3 mW/cm2 at 6 in.

Edge: PlatinumLED on the independent LTI spectrometer averages that exist for both houses. Rouge is more transparent about printing a spectrometer column next to a solar-meter column on the product page. No winner is declared by placing Rouge 164 or an old BioMax 185 next to any spectrometer figure.

Dual-chip is a fact on G4. Single-chip is a fact on BioMax

Rouge G4 places two equally sized chips in every 5W lamp. That construction is why the eight named peaks share the output. Dual-chip is not a defect and it is not a smear. Surface distribution is the honest pitch. Per-band power at depth is the honest cost: wattage splits, so each named peak is weaker than a single-chip 5W package.

PlatinumLED uses single-chip lamps and says so in public. That lets the brand overweight 660 nm and 850 nm instead of inheriting an even split. Cleaner per-lamp peaks are the single-chip pitch. In this pairing the chip families actually differ. A buyer who wants one peak per lamp is shopping PlatinumLED. A buyer who wants every listed G4 band at every lamp position is shopping Rouge.

Edge: Split by job. PlatinumLED for single-chip weighting and cleaner per-lamp peaks. Rouge for an even dual-chip map that is also why 1060 nm is not a 4 percent afterthought. Dual-chip is not used here as a smear.

Beam angle: 30 degrees versus 90 degrees

Rouge G4 lists a 30-degree beam. PlatinumLED BioMax and BioMax Pro use conical 90-degree optics, stated by the brand and measured on a BioMax 900 in Light Therapy Insiders’ coverage test. A 30-degree column holds energy in a smaller footprint. A 90-degree flood paints a larger patch at the same distance and drops faster on a center-spot reading.

A 36-inch 90-degree panel does not become a 71-inch Max because the beam is wider. Two 90-degree panels increase coverage area, not irradiance on one spot. Pick 30 degrees for a focused G4 column. Pick 90 degrees for a flood.

Edge: Rouge for a focused 30-degree G4. PlatinumLED for a 90-degree flood. Pick the optical job, not a slogan.

Coverage, height, and LED density

A 36-inch panel is not a standing adult. Density is lamps per square inch. Rouge Pro G4: 288 lamps in 36.22 x 11.81 in, about 0.67 per sq in. Max G4: 576 lamps in 71.65 x 11.81 in, about 0.68. Ultimate: 1,152 lamps in 71.65 x 22.83 in, about 0.70. Max covers standing height as a narrow column. Ultimate is the width play.

PlatinumLED’s tallest single panel is 36 inches. Classic BioMax 900: 300 lamps in 36 x 12 in, about 0.69 per sq in. BioMax Pro Ultra: 432 lamps in the same footprint, about 1.00 per sq in. Density beats count. Pro Ultra is still 36 inches tall. Two panels increase coverage area at multiplied cost plus a rack. They do not raise the dose on one spot.

Rouge Max G4 tall red light therapy panel
Rouge Max G4, 576 dual-chip LEDs, 71.65 x 11.81 in. Live sale price $2,246. Floor stand $168 extra. Manufacturer CDN photo.
PlatinumLED BioMax Pro Ultra red light therapy panel
PlatinumLED BioMax Pro Ultra, 432 single-chip LEDs, 36 x 12 in. Live price $1,599. Manufacturer CDN photo. About 1.0 LED per sq in. Standing height still needs a second panel.

Edge: Rouge for a live 71.65-inch single panel. PlatinumLED for LED density on the 36-inch Pro chassis and for modular kits that already exist as 2x SKUs. Connecting more BioMax panels is more body treated at once, not a stronger dose on one joint.

Modes, apps, pulsing, and the Classic versus Pro fork

Rouge G4 ships seven named presets plus per-wavelength dimming and 1 to 10,000 Hz pulsing, with an app. Classic BioMax offers independent R+ and NIR+ dimming and does not name condition presets. BioMax Pro adds five Smart Therapy Modes, pulse control, a companion app, and voice recognition.

G4 and BioMax Pro are app-connected. Classic BioMax can run without the app.

Edge: Rouge G4 for per-band dimming and a very wide pulse range. PlatinumLED Pro for five named Smart Therapy Modes plus voice. PlatinumLED Classic for a timer-and-dimmer panel that does not need an account.

In the box, stands, and realistic totals

Goggles are listed in Rouge G4 boxes. PlatinumLED describes one set of goggles as optional. Panels ship without a floor stand except Rouge Tabletop. PlatinumLED includes a door-hook kit. Realistic totals add the stand the buyer will actually use.

Rouge: Tabletop G4 $483 with its small stand. Pro G4 plus $105 floor stand equals $1,226. Max plus $168 equals $2,414. Ultimate plus $262 equals $4,458, or $4,942 with the $746 motorized stand. Rouge stand returns carry a 20 percent restocking fee. Lights do not.

PlatinumLED: BioMax 300 plus $119 tabletop stand equals $778. BioMax 900 plus $139 floor stand equals $1,438. Pro Ultra plus $139 equals $1,738. A standing-height kit is the live 2x SKU: BioMax 900 + 900 is $2,498, or $3,367 with the $869 XL motorized stand. Pro Ultra + Ultra is $3,098, or $3,967 with the same stand. Door hooks are not a floor stand.

Rouge Ultimate G4, 1,152 dual-chip LEDs, 71.65 x 22.83 in. Live sale price $4,196. Floor stand $262 extra. Manufacturer CDN photo.
PlatinumLED BioMax 300 red light therapy panel
PlatinumLED BioMax 300 Classic, 100 single-chip LEDs, 19 x 9 in. Live price $659. Manufacturer CDN photo. Tabletop stand $119 extra.

Edge: PlatinumLED for a cheaper 36-inch realistic total and for a live 2-panel kit price. Rouge for a 71-inch chassis if the buyer will pay the stand, and for a $105 Pro floor stand that undercuts PlatinumLED’s $139 floor stand in that size class. Rouge Tabletop is the only SKU here that already includes a stand at $483.

Rouge Care

4.5 / 5

13 reviews · trustpilot.com/review/rougecare.ca · indexed 1 September 2026

The listing exists and the score is high. Thirteen reviews is a thin sample. This page says so and awards the row on score plus sample, not vibes. No invented Rouge count. No on-site Loox stars.

PlatinumLED

4.1 / 5

133 reviews · trustpilot.com/review/platinumtherapylights.com · indexed 1 September 2026

Matches the prior snapshot of 4.1 / 5 from 133. This page uses the US platinumtherapylights.com listing. Hardware praise sits next to complaints about restocking and support. A 133-review sample is more informative than a 13-review sample, even when the headline score is lower.

Edge: PlatinumLED. 4.1 from 133 beats 4.5 from 13 once sample size is in the rule. Rouge thin listing is disclosed, not hidden, and is not padded with on-site stars.

Trial, returns, and warranty

Both advertise 60 days and a three-year panel warranty. Rouge lists no restocking fee on the light panels, with the customer paying return shipping. Stands are the exception at 20 percent restocking. Treat Nano as one year unless the order confirmation says otherwise. Free shipping is listed to the USA and Canada.

PlatinumLED lists a 60-day window with a 20 percent restocking fee on elective returns, and the customer pays return shipping. Public BBB and Trustpilot threads mention return friction. Those are customer reports, not a lab measurement. Warranty is three years on both houses. PlatinumLED lists free shipping in the US, UK, and Canada.

Edge: Rouge on the light-panel trial, because there is no 20 percent restocking fee on the G4 lights themselves. PlatinumLED is the harder return. Warranty is a tie at three years. Rouge stands still carry a 20 percent restock, so a Max-plus-stand return is not fully fee-free.

FDA-registered, not cleared

Every rectangular home panel here is FDA-registered, not cleared. Registration is a listing, not a performance classification. Rouge uses wellness wording. PlatinumLED live titles still use clinical-grade language. No home panel holds a medical-grade performance classification. That is a marketing-honesty note, not a claim that BioMax hardware fails a spectrometer test.

Edge: Tie on the actual listing. Rouge wellness wording is the more careful of the two. PlatinumLED clinical-grade panel copy is fair to flag as language, not as clearance.

Coverage fork: Max is a 71-inch column at $2,414 with a floor stand. Ultimate is a 71 by 23-inch sheet at $4,458 with a floor stand. Nothing in PlatinumLED live JSON matches that single-panel height. The honest PlatinumLED full-height build is a 2x kit plus the XL motorized stand. Two panels still do not raise irradiance on one spot.

Who Rouge Care is for

Pick Rouge for 1060 nm as an about 12.5 percent slice, a 71-inch Max or Ultimate, a 30-degree beam, extra 650/670 reds, Canadian checkout, and a 60-day light return without a 20 percent restock. Tabletop G4 is $483 with a stand. Skip Rouge for 480 nm, a 90-degree flood, or BioMax Pro density. Stands above Tabletop are extra.

Who PlatinumLED is for

Pick PlatinumLED for 90-degree flood optics, higher LTI spectrometer averages, BioMax Pro density, 480 nm, a Classic versus Pro fork, live 2-panel kits, and Trustpilot 4.1 from 133. BioMax 900 at $1,299 is the Classic 36-inch reference. Pro Ultra at $1,599 is the density reference. Skip PlatinumLED for a 71-inch single panel or a 12.5 percent 1060 nm slice. Modular kits add coverage area, not spot intensity.

If this pairing is not the last word

RLT Home is not the overall winner of this page. It is the next catalog if the buyer wants a seven-band mix with 480 nm blue, published density at 810 nm and 1064 nm, nine science-built modes, a free personalised weekly usage plan, and a motorized stand in the full-body SKU. Both brands already have live versus RLT Home pages on this site.

Verdict

Trophy · 1060 nm and height

🏆 Rouge Care

Wins this pairing for a listed 1060 nm slice at about 12.5 percent, a 71.65-inch Max and Ultimate, a 30-degree beam, extra 650/670 reds, G4 per-band dimming, goggles in the box, and a 60-day light return without a 20 percent restock. Tabletop G4 is the clean small 8-band panel at $483 with a stand in the box. Labor Day stickers are live on 1 September 2026 and may not last.

Trophy · flood, power, density, reviews

🏆 PlatinumLED

Wins this pairing for 90-degree flood optics, LTI spectrometer averages (BioMax 900 avg 90.3 at 6 in), BioMax Pro packing density, 480 nm in the mix, a Classic versus Pro ladder with live 2-panel kits, and Trustpilot 4.1 / 5 from 133 reviews. That is a genuine trophy, not a consolation line. BioMax 900 is the Classic 36-inch reference. Pro Ultra is the density reference.

There is no honest single crown that fits every checkout, and this page does not auto-crown a third brand. 1060 nm as a real share of output and a 71-inch panel leave with Rouge. 90-degree flood, measured LTI power, Pro density, 480 nm, modular kits, and a 133-review Trustpilot sample leave with PlatinumLED. The published Rouge vs RLT Home and PlatinumLED vs RLT Home pages are a funnel, not a rewrite of the dual winner above.

FAQ

Does PlatinumLED actually include 1060 nm, or is that only on Pro?

Both live families list 1060 nm: Classic BioMax 9th gen and BioMax Pro. The fight is density, not presence. Independent LTI mixes put 1060 nm in the mid-single digits of total output. Rouge G4 puts about 12.5 percent at 1060 nm because the dual-chip lamp splits evenly.

Why does PlatinumLED win user reviews if Rouge scores 4.5?

Score plus sample. Rouge Trustpilot listing is 4.5 / 5 from 13 reviews on rougecare.ca, indexed 1 September 2026, and the sample is thin. PlatinumLED US listing is 4.1 / 5 from 133 reviews on platinumtherapylights.com. This page does not invent Rouge reviews and does not mix Loox or Reviews.io stars into the row.

Is a BioMax Pro Ultra a full-body panel?

Not as a standing adult in one piece. Pro Ultra is 36 x 12 inches. Rouge Max and Ultimate are 71.65 inches tall. PlatinumLED’s own answer is modular: the live 2x Pro Ultra kit is $3,098, or $3,967 with the XL motorized stand. Two panels increase coverage area. They do not raise irradiance on one spot.

Should I compare Rouge 164 mW/cm2 to a BioMax 185 claim?

No. Those are solar-meter or unspecified-method figures. Compare spectrometer to spectrometer. Rouge brand spectrometer at 6 in is 79 to 90. LTI Rouge Pro is peak 65 / avg 59.2. LTI BioMax 900 is peak 113 / avg 90.3. Peak-to-peak or average-to-average only.

Is dual-chip a reason to skip Rouge?

Only if the buyer wants one peak per lamp. Dual-chip is why G4 can print eight bands at every lamp position and why the split is even. It is a construction fact, not a smear. PlatinumLED’s single-chip choice is why it can overweight 660 nm and 850 nm. Pick the map, not a morality play.

Are these panels FDA-cleared?

No. Both catalogs are FDA-registered for these home panels. Registration is a listing. Rouge uses wellness wording. PlatinumLED uses clinical-grade language on live titles. Neither fact is clearance, and neither panel is presented here as treating disease. Sessions may help a general wellness routine.

Where can I read each brand against RLT Home?
