Helio Cure vs PlatinumLED
Medical review: All articles on Red Light Therapy Top 10 are reviewed for scientific accuracy and evidence-based relevance by our medical expert team. This page is wellness information, not a diagnosis or a treatment plan.
This is a 1064 nm fight between two home-panel catalogs, not a third brand. Helio Cure publishes 19.44% of Spark, Glow, and Nova at 1064 nm, skips blue on purpose, and already sells 64-inch and 65-inch chassis with the stand in the live SKU. PlatinumLED lists a 7-band mix that includes 1060 nm, uses 90-degree conical optics, and stops a single panel at about 36 inches. Criterion rows split. There is no single overall crown for every buyer.
Winner summary · 1064 fight
Dual winners: Helio Cure and PlatinumLED
Both sell US-warehouse home panels with three-year warranties, 60-day trials, FDA registration, and HSA/FSA checkout via TrueMed or Truemed on flagged SKUs. That is where the resemblance ends. Helio is a no-blue six-band line with a thick 1064 nm slice and a 19-degree spec on three of four panels. PlatinumLED is a 2010 modular veteran: 7-band BioMax hardware, 90-degree optics, 1060 nm on the list, and a 36-inch single-panel ceiling. Prices below are manufacturer stickers pulled 1 September 2026 from each brand’s products.json. No coupon is invented for either catalog. Code TOP10 is 6 percent off RLT Home only and appears only if you leave this pairing for the 16-brand table.
At-a-glance verdict: Helio Cure if the purchase is 19.44% at 1064 nm, no 480 nm blue, and a 64-inch chassis with the stand already priced in. PlatinumLED if the purchase is a 7-band 1060 nm list, a 90-degree flood, Pro modes, and a larger public review sample. Sessions with either mix may help a general wellness routine. Neither panel is presented as treating disease.

The brands at a glance
Helio Cure
The no-blue, 19.44% 1064 nm catalog
Helio Cure, sold by Quantron LLC at heliocure.com, is a relatively new US panel brand. Four named panels share a six-wavelength mix and a no-app control story. Spark is the 72-LED tabletop. Glow is the 216-LED half-body panel, and the only Helio unit LightLab International has a dedicated report for. Blaze is the 480-LED, 64.3-inch full-body panel. Nova is the 864-LED, 65 by 20.5-inch flagship.
Helio refuses 480 nm blue on purpose, publishes a high 1064 nm share, and specifies a 19-degree beam on Spark, Glow, and Nova. Those are design choices, not a smear of PlatinumLED. Full-body coverage is a single tall chassis, not a two-panel stack.
PlatinumLED
The 7-band, 90-degree modular veteran
PlatinumLED has sold red and near-infrared panels since 2010. The 2026 home story is two parallel 7-band families: classic ninth-generation BioMax, and BioMax Pro with named Smart Therapy Modes, pulse, zero-gap frames, app, and voice. BioMax GO ($299), SaunaMAX Pro ($959), and StudioMAX ($1,349) sit around that core.
The brand owns its design rules. It refuses oversized single panels and points full-body buyers to two- or four-panel stacks. It also argues against even-spread spectrum and weights 660 nm and 850 nm as peak-absorption bands. Independent Light Therapy Insiders work matches that weighting. 1060 nm is on the list. Independent density on that band is small.
Spectrum and wavelength density: the 1064 fight
Helio lists six wavelengths. PlatinumLED lists seven. Count is not the story. Density is: the share of diodes, and therefore output, in each band. A seven-wavelength panel that pours most of its energy into 660 and 850 nm functions, in practice, like a narrower panel with extra labels. A six-wavelength panel that puts 19.44% at 1064 nm is a different tool.
Helio Cure: concede 19.44% at 1064 nm
Spark, Glow, and Nova share one published mix. This page concedes the headline numbers as Helio prints them.
| Wavelength | Spark / Glow / Nova | Helio Blaze |
|---|---|---|
| 630 nm (red) | 19.44% | 20% |
| 660 nm (red) | 19.44% | 20% |
| 810 nm (near infrared) | 19.44% | 20% |
| 830 nm (near infrared) | 13.88% | 13.3% |
| 850 nm (near infrared) | 8.33% | 10% |
| 1064 nm (deep infrared) | 19.44% | 16.7% |
| 480 nm blue | None, on purpose | None, on purpose |
19.44% at 1064 nm on Spark, Glow, and Nova is a dense deep-infrared allocation. Combined 810 plus 1064 is about 38.8%. Red (630 plus 660) is also about 38.9%. 850 nm is the smaller NIR slice at 8.33%. Helio is a 630 / 660 / 810 / 1064-weighted panel, not an 850-weighted one. Quote Blaze at 16.7% 1064 nm, not 19.44%.
There is no 480 nm blue and no 590 nm amber. Helio argues that blue light can disrupt circadian rhythm and has no role in deep-tissue photobiomodulation. That is a stated design choice, not a forgotten band. Sessions with this six-band set may help people who want red and near-infrared only, including evening use without 480 nm. This page does not claim that leaving blue out makes Helio better or worse for skin.
PlatinumLED: seven bands, weighted to 660 and 850 nm, 1060 nm on the list
BioMax and BioMax Pro list the same seven wavelengths: 480, 630, 660, 810, 830, 850, and 1060 nm. That is 1060 nm, not 1064 nm. PlatinumLED is explicit: peak absorption at 660 and 850 nm, and even-spread panels are the inferior design in their view. That argument is on the product FAQs.
PlatinumLED has not posted a public BioMax Pro density table this page can reprint. Independent measurements still match the weighting. Light Therapy Insiders on classic BioMax: roughly 2% 480 / 9% 630 / 39% 660 / 5% 810 / 5% 830 / 36% 850 / 4% 1060. About 75 percent of measured energy is 660 plus 850. Notes on BioMax Pro Ultra put roughly 80 percent in 660 plus 850, with 1060 a faint trace.
Classic BioMax dims R+ (630/660) and NIR+ (810/830/850/1060) separately and can switch off 480 nm. Pro adds per-wavelength control and presets. Neither turns a trace 1060 nm slice into a 19.44% 1064 nm panel. The 7-band listing still matters in this pairing, because Helio does not list 480 nm at all.
Edge: Helio Cure wins the 1064 nm density fight. Concede 19.44% on Spark, Glow, and Nova, and 16.7% on Blaze, against PlatinumLED’s independently measured ~4% at 1060 nm. PlatinumLED wins the 7-band list, including 480 nm blue and a 1060 nm label, even after reading that independent density on 1060 nm is a small slice. Density still matters more than wavelength count.
Power and Irradiance: Measured by Independent Third Parties
Solar power meters over-read LED panels. Spectrometers measure optical power in a defined window. Peak compares with peak. Average compares with average. A 6-inch figure is not a 12-inch figure. This section never mixes those families in one cell, and it does not convert LightLab joules into Light Therapy Insiders milliwatts.
Helio has long published 69 mW/cm² at 12 inches. Product pages also claim over 300 mW/cm² at the LED source. Those rows are not interchangeable. LightLab International in Allentown, Pennsylvania, tested Helio Glow. Helio reports highest readings of 98.87 mW/cm² at 6 inches, 93.25 at 12 inches, 81.89 at 24 inches, and 61.59 at 36 inches. Those are Glow highest-at-distance readings, not an average, and not a separate Spark, Blaze, or Nova test. This site’s notes also record a LightLab Glow average of 71.7 mW/cm². Do not mix that average with a peak. Spark, Blaze, and Nova inherit the Glow report by manufacturer extension.
PlatinumLED historically published solar-meter style figures, including about 185 mW/cm² at 6 inches on BioMax 900. LTI spectrometer work on that class: about 90.3 mW/cm² average at 6 inches (peak about 113). BioMax Pro Ultra is independently noted near a 120 mW/cm² peak and about 101 average. The manufacturer now points to LightLab intensity charts, often in joules. This page does not invent those chart cells.
Peak to peak, with the lab named: BioMax Pro Ultra about 120 mW/cm² (LTI notes) versus Glow LightLab highest 98.87 mW/cm² at 6 inches. That flagship peak row belongs to PlatinumLED. It is not a reason to import Helio’s 300-class at-source claim or PlatinumLED’s older 185-class solar-meter headline into the same table. Different instruments, different distances, different stats.
LED chip design
Spark, Glow, and Nova are listed as 3535 single-chip 5W, with LED lifespan over 100,000 hours on the live Glow page. Helio Blaze is listed as “3535 Single/Dual Chip”. That is a Blaze-only catalog fact, not a smear of the line. If chip type is a purchase filter, read the Blaze spec sheet before assuming it matches Glow.
PlatinumLED uses single-chip diodes across BioMax and BioMax Pro and argues against dual-chip in public. That makes this pairing mostly a single-chip versus single-chip fight, with Blaze as the one Helio listing that uses mixed language.
Edge: Even on single-chip for Spark, Glow, Nova, and the whole PlatinumLED BioMax stack. Flag Helio Blaze as Single/Dual Chip in the catalog. Chip type is not the 1064 fight.
Beam angle
A narrower beam is more intense on-axis. A wider beam covers edges more easily and falls off faster with distance. Helio specifies 19 degrees on Spark, Glow, and Nova. LightLab measured Glow at 16.9 degrees (field angle about 27.5 to 27.7 degrees). Spark and Nova inherit the 19-degree spec. Blaze uses 15, 30, and 60-degree lenses, so it is not a 19-degree panel.
PlatinumLED BioMax-class panels use conical 90-degree optics (brand copy and LTI on BioMax 900). Ninety degrees is the flood. Nineteen degrees is the spotlight. They are different tools, not a ranking of “better light.”
Edge: PlatinumLED on the 90-degree flood that matches its modular wall thesis. Helio on the 19-degree focused beam (LightLab 16.9° on Glow). Intensity at a given distance still belongs in the spectrometer section, not in the beam-angle slogan.
Form factor and coverage
Helio already builds full-body single panels. About 64 inches of height is what matters for lie-under use. About 12 inches of width is the standard body panel. Nova steps up to 20.5 inches wide. PlatinumLED’s tallest live single panel is BioMax Pro Ultra at 35.83 x 11.81 inches. That is a 36-inch-class light, not a 64-inch lie-under. PlatinumLED points full-body buyers to 2x or 4x packages. Arrays increase coverage, not irradiance on one spot.
| Helio Cure | Size / LEDs | Closest PlatinumLED | Size / LEDs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Helio Spark ($449) | 11.8 x 11.4 x 2.4 in. 72 LEDs | BioMax Pro Nano ($799) / BioMax 300 ($659) | ~19 x 9 in. 144 / 100 LEDs |
| Helio Glow ($1,049 with floor stand) | 29.9 x 11.8 x 2.4 in. 216 LEDs | BioMax Pro Midi ($999) / BioMax 450 ($799) | ~20 x 12 in. 216 / 150 LEDs |
| No 36-inch Helio SKU | Catalog jumps from ~30 in to 64.3 in | BioMax Pro Ultra ($1,599) / BioMax 900 ($1,299) | ~36 x 12 in. 432 / 300 LEDs |
| Helio Blaze ($2,499, electric stand in SKU) | 64.3 x 11.8 x 3 in. 480 LEDs | No 64-inch single PlatinumLED panel | Two-panel path instead |
| Helio Nova ($4,999, electric stand in SKU) | 65 x 20.5 x 2.4 in. 864 LEDs | Ultra + Ultra ($3,098) plus $379 to $869 stand | Stacked 36-inch-class Pro panels, 12 in wide |
There is no 49-inch Helio and no 64-inch PlatinumLED. Helio jumps from Glow at about 30 inches to Blaze at 64.3 inches. PlatinumLED caps a single chassis at 36 inches and sells the rest as stacked panels. Those are lineup facts, not a smear.
Edge: Helio Cure for a single 64.3-inch or 65-inch chassis with the electric stand already in the live SKU. PlatinumLED for a 36-inch modular stack, zero-gap Pro frames, and a cheaper two-panel sticker than Nova before you add a rack.
Treatment modes, app, and privacy
Helio runs five named presets (Face/Skin, Pain Relief, Weight Management, Hair Restoration, Brain Health), plus full-spectrum plus custom. The live Glow page says you can adjust intensity, time, and pulse (0 to 5000 Hz) on each channel. Blaze adds voice control and three custom slots. The brand states there is no app and no tracking: no data collection, no syncing, no accounts. For those seeking privacy, that offline stance is a fit. Named presets may help people who want a starting protocol. They are not medical prescriptions.
Classic BioMax is R+ and NIR+ dimming, 480 nm switchable off, no named modes, no pulse. BioMax Pro adds five Smart Therapy Modes, pulse 0 to 9,999 Hz, per-wavelength control, app, and voice. Continuous output is still the brand recommendation. The free app tracks sessions and protocols. That is an internet-connected companion.
Edge: PlatinumLED Pro on named modes plus pulse plus voice plus per-wavelength control. Helio on five presets with no companion app. Privacy-minded buyers who still want this pairing stay on Helio, or on classic BioMax dimming if they can live without Pro presets.

HSA/FSA checkout is offered via TrueMed on Helio and via Truemed on flagged PlatinumLED Pro pages. That still needs plan approval. Do not stare into either array, especially on Helio’s 19-degree on-axis beam.
Edge: Helio on stand-in-the-SKU and two styles of eyewear. PlatinumLED on the door-hook-and-patch-cable modular kit and on a motorized XL rack if you want to buy one. Neither includes a motorized stand in a PlatinumLED panel price. Helio Blaze and Nova do include an electric stand.
User reviews
Public reviews are scored from independent Trustpilot listings pulled 1 September 2026. Manufacturer on-site star widgets are a different dataset and are not mixed in.
Trustpilot · Helio Cure
4.1 / 5
Eight reviews is early-brand volume. A 4.1 average can move on a single new review. The sample is thin. Independent Glow and Blaze write-ups exist elsewhere. They are not a substitute for a large buyer set.
Trustpilot · PlatinumLED
4.1 / 5
Praise centers on device quality. Complaints center on price, shipping, and the 20% restock. The sample is modest for a 15-year brand, and still many times Helio’s eight-review listing.
User reviews go to PlatinumLED: the score is a tie at 4.1, and the sample is 133 versus 8. Helio’s eight-review set is too thin to win this row on vibes. On-site stars stay off this row.
Edge: PlatinumLED on public Trustpilot sample size at the same 4.1 score. Helio’s listing is named and dated, and it is thin.
Trial, returns, and warranty
Both offer 60 days and a three-year warranty. The fine print is the fight.
Helio’s written Warranty, Returns & Refunds page (heliocure.com/policies/refund-policy, pulled 1 September 2026) is the document that matters, not a banner. Sixty-day window for Helio Spark and Helio Glow, starting on delivery. No restocking fee is stated. The customer pays return shipping. A prepaid label, if issued, is deducted from the refund. Returns without an approved RMA are not accepted. Blaze and Nova product pages still advertise 60 days. Read the policy page for flagship models before you buy. Warranty is three years from purchase for defects and is a separate path from the elective trial.
PlatinumLED: 60 days from delivery, LED panels only. Elective returns take a 20% restock plus customer-paid freight, original packaging with all accessories, sellable condition, written authorization, received by day 60. Signed delivery is treated as used, so a $1,599 Ultra is a $320 restock plus shipping. Stands are final sale.
Edge: Helio on the restocking fee (none stated versus 20%). Even on trial length and on the three-year warranty. Helio’s written policy currently names Spark and Glow. PlatinumLED’s 20% plus freight is the more expensive send-back in this pairing.
A note on FDA
Every home red light panel sold in the United States is FDA-registered, a listing not clearance. Both brands use Class II wording for that same listing. Helio product pages also cite CE and RoHS. Those certifications do not turn a home LED panel into a clinic device. PlatinumLED uses clinical-grade and medical-grade quality language for the same class of listing. This page treats both as FDA-registered like other home panels. Neither is presented as treating disease.
Pricing: an apples-to-apples comparison
Live prices, 1 September 2026. Helio Labor Day sale, pulled from heliocure.com/products.json: Spark $449 (compare-at $549). Glow single panel plus floor stand $1,049 (compare-at $1,199); Glow twin panel plus rolling floor stand $1,999. Blaze $2,499 (compare-at $2,799). Nova $4,999 (compare-at $5,649). PlatinumLED, pulled from platinumtherapylights.com/products.json: BioMax Pro Nano $799, Midi $999, Grande $1,299, Ultra $1,599; classic BioMax 300 $659, 450 $799, 600 $1,049, 900 $1,299; XL motorized stand $869. No coupon on either brand. These are manufacturer stickers, not a discount code.
Helio prices below already include the stand that ships with that SKU. PlatinumLED totals add the stand a usable hang actually needs. Two panels add coverage, not irradiance on one spot.
Tier 1: Tabletop
| Item | Helio Spark | PlatinumLED BioMax Pro Nano |
|---|---|---|
| LEDs | 72 single-chip | 144 single-chip |
| Panel dimensions | 11.8 x 11.4 x 2.4 in | 18.90 x 8.66 x 2.76 in |
| Panel price | $449 (compare-at $549) | $799 |
| Stand | Tabletop included | Tabletop $119 extra |
| Realistic total | $449 | $918 |
| Body coverage | Face, desk, small target | Face, desk, small target |
| Spectrum | 6-band, 19.44% at 1064 nm, no blue | 7-band including 1060 nm and 480 nm |
Helio wins the entry sticker. A BioMax 300 at $659 plus a $119 tabletop is $778, still above Spark at $449. Spark is the smaller panel (72 LEDs versus 144 or 100). Buyers who want the 7-band Nano pay for more diodes and a 1060 nm label, not for 19.44% at 1064 nm. BioMax GO at $299 is a dual-band 660/850 handheld, not a six-band tabletop.
Tier 2: Mid panel
| Item | Helio Glow | PlatinumLED BioMax Pro Midi |
|---|---|---|
| LEDs | 216 single-chip | 216 single-chip |
| Panel dimensions | 29.9 x 11.8 x 2.4 in | 19.69 x 11.81 x 2.76 in |
| Panel price | $1,049 (compare-at $1,199) | $999 |
| Stand | Floor stand in the $1,049 SKU | Tabletop $119 or black floor $139 |
| Realistic total | $1,049 | $1,118 to $1,138 |
| Body coverage | Torso / half body, about 30 in tall | Face and torso, about 20 in tall, not full height |
| Independent test | LightLab Glow report | No dedicated Midi LTI cell on this page |
LED count ties at 216. Glow is the taller panel and already includes a floor stand. A classic BioMax 450 at $799 plus a $139 floor stand is $938, cheaper than Glow, without 19.44% at 1064 nm and without Glow’s LightLab report. Twin Glow plus rolling stand is $1,999 for more coverage, not more irradiance on one spot.
Tier 3: Tallest single panel
| Item | Helio Blaze | PlatinumLED BioMax Pro Ultra |
|---|---|---|
| LEDs | 480 (listed Single/Dual Chip) | 432 single-chip |
| Panel dimensions | 64.3 x 11.8 x 3 in | 35.83 x 11.81 x 2.76 in |
| Panel price | $2,499 (compare-at $2,799) | $1,599 |
| Stand | 360° rotating electric stand included | Black floor $139, or horizontal $379 |
| Realistic total | $2,499 | $1,738 to $1,978 |
| Body coverage | Lie-under height, 11.8 in wide | 36-inch class, shift position or add a second panel |
| 1064 / 1060 density | 16.7% at 1064 nm | 1060 nm, independently a faint slice |
Ultra is the cheaper 36-inch 7-band single-chip panel. Blaze is the 64.3-inch lie-under with the electric stand already paid. A BioMax 900 plus stand is $1,438. That is still a 36-inch light. Helio Nova at $4,999 is the wide flagship in this pairing (65 x 20.5 in, 864 LEDs, 19.44% at 1064 nm, electric stand included), and it has no PlatinumLED single-panel twin.
Tier 4: Full-body path
| Item | Helio Blaze (or Nova) | PlatinumLED Midi + Ultra |
|---|---|---|
| Live combo / chassis price | Blaze $2,499. Nova $4,999 | $2,498 |
| Stand for a usable hang | Electric stand in the SKU | Horizontal $379, or XL motorized $869 |
| Realistic total | $2,499 Blaze. $4,999 Nova | $2,877, or $3,367 with motorized XL |
| Coverage | One 64.3 in x 11.8 in chassis, or one 65 in x 20.5 in chassis | Stacked 36-inch-class Pro panels, matching width |
Ultra + Ultra is $3,098 plus stand ($3,477 or $3,967). That stacked pair can be cheaper than Nova and still narrower than Nova’s 20.5-inch width. Blaze at $2,499 with the electric stand in the box undercuts a Midi + Ultra plus $379 hang, and it is the one 64-inch single rectangle in this pairing.
Edge: Helio on Spark sticker, Glow-plus-stand, and a single 64-inch chassis with the electric stand priced in. PlatinumLED on the 36-inch Ultra sticker and on a two-panel total that can beat Nova. No invented coupon on either side.

- Want Spark at $449 with a tabletop stand, or Glow at $1,049 with a floor stand and a dedicated LightLab report.
- Want a single 64.3-inch or 65-inch chassis (Blaze or Nova) with an electric stand already in the live SKU.
- Want a 60-day trial with no restocking fee stated, and are fine paying return freight. Confirm Blaze and Nova on the written policy page.
Who should choose PlatinumLED?
A dual-winner use case
Buyers who already want this design
- Want a 7-band list that includes 480 nm and 1060 nm, even after reading that independent density on 1060 nm is a small slice.
- Prefer single-chip diodes and a 90-degree flood, and accept PlatinumLED’s 660/850 weighting as the design.
- Want BioMax Pro named modes, per-wavelength control, optional pulse, app, and voice.
- Want classic BioMax independent R+ / NIR+ dimming without presets, at a lower sticker than the matching Pro size.
- Prefer a modular stack of 19-inch and 36-inch panels, including zero-gap Pro frames, and will budget $379 to $869 for a rack.
- Want the higher independent spectrometer peak in this pairing (Pro Ultra ~120 mW/cm² versus Glow LightLab highest 98.87).
- Want the larger independent Trustpilot sample (4.1 from 133 reviews versus 4.1 from 8).
- Are fine paying return freight and a 20% restock if the 60-day trial ends in a send-back.
If you are still comparing a third catalog
This page is Helio Cure versus PlatinumLED. It does not auto-crown a third brand. Buyers who want another 1064 nm catalog, a different 36-inch modular stack, or the 16-brand table should use the links below. Code TOP10 is 6 percent off RLT Home live prices only, nearest dollar. It is never a Helio Cure or PlatinumLED offer.

The verdict: dual winners
This pairing does not crown one catalog for every buyer. Helio Cure takes the 1064 nm density fight, the 19-degree beam, the 64-inch chassis, the stand-in-SKU math, and the no-restock trial language. PlatinumLED takes the 7-band 1060 nm list, the 90-degree flood, Pro modes, the higher independent flagship peak, and the larger Trustpilot sample. That is a dual winner, not a runner-up speech.
🏆 Dual winner, Helio Cure
For 1064 nm density and a lie-under chassis
Choose Helio Cure if you want 19.44% at 1064 nm (16.7% on Blaze), no 480 nm blue, a 19-degree focused beam, and a 64.3-inch or 65-inch panel with the electric stand already in the live Labor Day SKU. Spark at $449 and Glow at $1,049 are the cheaper on-ramps. Budget return freight. Confirm Blaze and Nova on the written 60-day policy. Trustpilot is 4.1 from 8 reviews as of 1 September 2026, a thin sample.
🏆 Dual winner, PlatinumLED
For 7-band 1060 nm and a 90-degree flood
Choose PlatinumLED if you want a 7-band single-chip panel with 1060 nm on the list, 90-degree optics, BioMax Pro modes and app, and the stronger independent peak in this pairing. Budget a stand ($139 to $869) and treat a single Ultra as a 36-inch light, not a 64-inch lie-under. Budget 20% plus freight if you might return it. Independent density on 1060 nm is small. That does not erase the 7-band listing.

Frequently asked questions
Does Helio Cure really put 19.44% of output at 1064 nm?
Yes, on Spark, Glow, and Nova: 19.44% at each of 630, 660, 810, and 1064 nm, plus 13.88% at 830 nm (850 nm 8.33%). Blaze is 16.7% at 1064 nm. Combined 810 plus 1064 is about 38.8% on Spark, Glow, and Nova, and about 36.7% on Blaze. This page concedes those published Helio figures.
Does PlatinumLED have 1064 nm?
No. PlatinumLED lists 1060 nm, not 1064 nm, on BioMax and BioMax Pro. Independent Light Therapy Insiders work puts 1060 nm around 4% on classic BioMax and a faint trace on Pro Ultra. Helio lists 1064 nm at 19.44% on Spark, Glow, and Nova. Those are different wavelengths and very different densities.
Which brand wins this page?
Both, by use case. Helio Cure wins 1064 nm density, the 19-degree beam, the 64-inch chassis, stand-in-SKU, no-blue / no-app, and the restocking-fee row. PlatinumLED wins the 7-band 1060 nm list, the 90-degree beam, independent flagship peak, Pro app and voice, and Trustpilot sample size. This page does not name a single overall winner for every buyer.
Did LightLab test every Helio panel?
No. LightLab tested Glow. Helio reports highest readings including 98.87 mW/cm² at 6 inches and 93.25 at 12 inches, plus a 16.9-degree beam. A 71.7 mW/cm² Glow average sits in this site’s notes. Spark, Blaze, and Nova copy the Glow set. Helio’s 69 mW/cm² at 12 inches figure should stay at 12 inches.
Can PlatinumLED’s older 185 mW/cm² BioMax 900 figure be compared with Glow LightLab?
No. That older claimed number sits in the solar-meter era. Light Therapy Insiders spectrometer average on BioMax 900 is about 90.3 mW/cm² at 6 inches (peak about 113). Glow LightLab highest is 98.87 mW/cm² at 6 inches. Solar-meter, LightLab, and spectrometer numbers are different instruments. This page does not mix them.
What beam angle does each brand use?
Helio: 19 degrees on Spark, Glow, and Nova (LightLab measured Glow at 16.9 degrees). Blaze uses 15, 30, and 60-degree lenses. PlatinumLED BioMax-class panels use conical 90-degree optics. Ninety degrees is the flood. Nineteen degrees is the spotlight.
Is a BioMax Pro Ultra a full-body panel?
Not as a single chassis. Live dimensions are 35.83 x 11.81 x 2.76 inches and 432 LEDs. That is a tall, relatively narrow 36-inch-class light. PlatinumLED’s own FAQ says the company will not make oversized single panels and points to 2x or 4x modular packages. Helio Blaze (64.3 in) and Helio Nova (65 in) are the full-body single chassis in this pairing.
Do stands and goggles come in the box?
Helio Spark includes a tabletop stand. Glow’s $1,049 SKU is panel plus floor stand; $1,999 is twin Glow plus rolling stand. Blaze and Nova include a 360-degree rotating electric stand. Helio eye protection is reading glasses plus blackout goggles. PlatinumLED ships a door hook, hanging brackets, and one set of goggles. Floor stands are $119 to $869 extra and final sale.
How do the 60-day trials actually work?
Helio: written policy offers 60 days for Spark and Glow, starting on delivery, no restocking fee stated. The customer pays return shipping. Blaze and Nova product pages still advertise 60 days; confirm those models on the policy page. PlatinumLED: 60 days from delivery, panels only, 20% restocking plus customer-paid return shipping. Signed delivery is treated as used. Stands are not eligible. Warranty is three years on both brands and is a separate path.
Are these panels FDA-cleared?
No. Both are FDA-registered and use Class II wording on product pages. That is description of the same style of listing other home panels hold, not a unique clearance. This comparison treats both as FDA-registered like other home panels.
What do public user reviews say?
Independent Trustpilot, not shop widgets, 1 September 2026: Helio Cure 4.1 / 5 from 8 reviews on ie.trustpilot.com/review/heliocure.com (thin sample). PlatinumLED 4.1 / 5 from 133 reviews on trustpilot.com/review/platinumtherapylights.com. The reviews row goes to PlatinumLED on sample size at the same score.
Is there a Helio Cure or PlatinumLED discount code on this page?
No. Live Helio Labor Day stickers from 1 September 2026: Spark $449 ($549), Glow $1,049 ($1,199), Blaze $2,499 ($2,799), Nova $4,999 ($5,649). Glow twin plus rolling stand is $1,999. PlatinumLED stickers: Pro Nano $799 through Ultra $1,599; classic BioMax 300 $659 through 900 $1,299. No coupon is invented for either brand. Code TOP10 is 6 percent off RLT Home only.
Is Helio Blaze dual-chip?
The live Blaze listing says 3535 Single/Dual Chip. Spark, Glow, and Nova are 3535 single-chip 5W. PlatinumLED BioMax hardware is single-chip. That is a Blaze-only catalog fact, not a smear of the Helio line.
Bottom line
Helio Cure vs PlatinumLED in 2026 is a 1064 nm fight with a dual winner. Helio Labor Day stickers: Spark $449, Glow $1,049, Blaze $2,499, Nova $4,999. Concede 19.44% at 1064 nm on Spark, Glow, and Nova, a 19-degree beam, and a 64-inch chassis with the stand in the SKU. PlatinumLED is the 7-band 1060 nm, 90-degree modular veteran: BioMax Pro from $799 to $1,599, classic BioMax from $659 to $1,299, stands extra, LTI 1060 nm density small, Trustpilot 4.1 from 133 versus Helio’s 4.1 from 8. FDA-registered, same listing, on both sides. Sessions may help a general wellness routine. Neither catalog is a disease treatment. Use the 16-brand table if this pairing is not the fit.
