Hooga vs Infraredi: Which Red Light Therapy Brand Wins in 2026?
Medical review: All articles on Red Light Therapy Top 10 are reviewed for scientific accuracy and evidence-based relevance by our medical expert team. This page is wellness information, not a diagnosis or a treatment plan. Sessions with either mix may help a general wellness routine. Neither panel is presented as treating disease. Home panels here are FDA-registered, a facility listing, not FDA-cleared medical devices.
Hooga Health sells a three-line US panel ladder that opens at $149 and closes on a 61-inch chassis. Infraredi sells five-band dual-lens 6W Pro stacks that open at a live Summer Sale Mini of $559 and close on a 71.5-inch Studio at $5,039. This page scores those two catalogs only. RLT Home sits later as a funnel, not as a trophy.

At a Glance: Hooga vs Infraredi (2026)
Prices pulled 1 September 2026 from hoogahealth.com/products.json and infraredi.com/products.json. Trustpilot from independent public listings the same day. Spectrometer rows stay spectrometer. Infraredi Solar Meter 250 is never dropped into a Light Therapy Insiders cell.

| FDA / listing | Made in an FDA-registered facility. Not cleared. General wellness. | No device-specific FDA clearance for these home panels. Australian device is TGA-listed. |
How to read this page: density beats a wavelength headline. Dual-chip is a fact, not a smear. Solar Meter 250 is not spectrometer 74. Peak with peak, average with average, same distance. RLT Home is not auto-crowned.
The two catalogs, not a third winner
Hooga Health
Three panel lines, one 61-inch ceiling
Hooga is a New Berlin, Wisconsin value brand. Live 1 September 2026 the home-panel ladder runs HG200 $149 through ULTRA4500 $3,499 (full list in the price tables). HG is single-chip 660 / 850 nm. PRO is dual-chip 660 / 850 nm. ULTRA is quad-chip 630 / 660 / 810 / 850 nm. PRO4500 and ULTRA4500 are the 61-inch ceiling. The brand cites Light Therapy Insiders by name on ULTRA output. Goggles ship in the panel box. HSA / FSA eligibility is listed. No condition presets. No weekly plan.
Infraredi
One Pro family, a 71.5-inch stack language
Infraredi is a Brisbane, Australia brand with regional warehouses. Live 1 September 2026 Summer Sale: Mini door hook $559 through Studio vertical $5,039 (full list in the price tables, compare-at Mini $699 through Studio $6,299). Every Pro 2.0 names five wavelengths and dual-lens 6W lamps. Dual is two Max panels at 181.6 cm. Elite is four. Studio is six Max panels and 1,260 lamps. Door hook is the default on Mini through Dual Plus. Elite and Studio ship as vertical-stand variants. Pulsing is 0 to 10,000 Hz. Bluetooth presets include Wind Down. Per-band density is not published. Irradiance is labelled Solar Meter.
One brand wins a desk at $149 and a named 6-inch spectrometer. The other wins a door-hook 71.5-inch Dual and 830 nm on the Mini. Pretending one catalog is a subset of the other would invent a weakness.
Spectrum: four named ULTRA bands versus five named Pro bands
Hooga splits the catalog on purpose. HG and PRO are 660 nm plus 850 nm, sold at two-band prices. ULTRA adds 630 nm and 810 nm through a quad-chip LED, described as about 25 percent in each of four bands. ULTRA does not add 830 nm, 480 nm blue, or 1064 nm. Those absences are facts about the mix, not invented defects.
Infraredi Pro 2.0 lists 630, 660, 810, 830, and 850 nm on every size, including the $559 Mini. The 830 nm name is the clean spectrum concession. Infraredi does not publish per-band share, so five names is a count. Density still beats count. 830 nm is on Infraredi and not on Hooga. A published four-way split is on Hooga ULTRA and not on Infraredi.
Neither brand lists 480 nm blue or 1064 nm. That shared gap is not used to auto-crown a third catalog on this page. It is noted so the funnel later can talk about a seven-band line without stealing the trophy here. HG1500 at $899 remains a two-band 35.8 x 11 inch panel. It is not an ULTRA with missing stickers. Pro Mini at $559 is a five-band 14.5-inch panel. It is not an HG200 with extra marketing. Those SKUs should not be stacked as if they were the same product at different markups.
Edge: Infraredi on 830 nm in the mix, including at Mini price. Hooga ULTRA on a published four-band split. HG and PRO stay two-band on purpose. No 1064 nm champion in this pairing.
Power and Irradiance: Measured by Independent Third Parties
Peak compares with peak. Average compares with average. Same distance. Hooga prints brand 6-inch figures with the method unstated (HG200 100, ULTRA360 132, ULTRA1500 165, ULTRA4500 155 mW/cm²). Those cells are not treated as spectrometer cells. Named Light Therapy Insiders work is: ULTRA360 about 74 mW/cm² against a 132 claim, and ULTRA1500 about 104 peak / 81.7 average at 6 inches. The brand 6-inch number running hot against the lab is conceded.
Infraredi labels its table Solar Meter and prints 250 with no distance. Solar meters over-read LED panels. 250 stays in the solar column. There is no named spectrometer peak for a Pro 2.0 panel in the sources used here. Calling 250 stronger than 74 would mix instruments. The power row goes to Hooga because it has named LTI numbers, not because 132 beats 250 in a blended cell.
Edge: Hooga on named LTI peak and average at 6 inches. Infraredi Solar Meter 250 stays in its own column. Not a fight.
Chips: single, dual, quad, and dual-lens 6W
Hooga uses three LED packages. HG is single-chip. PRO is dual-chip, one red and one near-infrared die per lamp. ULTRA is quad-chip, two red and two near-infrared dies per LED. Infraredi Pro 2.0 uses dual-lens 6W lamps: two 3W chips per LED. Dual-chip and quad-chip are facts about how power is split at the die, not smears. This page records the architecture and does not treat one package as a quality failure.
LED count has to be read with area. ULTRA4500 packs 900 lamps into about 61 x 16 in, roughly 0.92 per square inch. Dual is 420 lamps across about 71.5 x 8.7 in, roughly 0.68. Elite (840) and Studio (1,260) stay in that density band at 181.6 cm. Density beats a raw lamp count. Hooga wins the 61-inch density cell. Infraredi wins the height cell.
Edge: Hooga on 61-inch lamp density and on having a named quad-chip four-band package. Infraredi on dual-lens 6W across a modular 71.5-inch family. Dual-chip is not a knockdown argument either way.
Beam angle
Hooga publishes 60 degrees on HG, PRO, and ULTRA. Infraredi does not publish a beam angle on the live Pro 2.0 pages used for this pull. A missing number is not converted into a secret 30-degree or 60-degree claim. The beam row therefore sits with Hooga for publishing the spec, and sits open on Infraredi rather than invented.
Edge: Hooga for a published 60-degree figure. Infraredi is not assigned a beam it did not print.
Coverage: 61-inch chassis versus 71.5-inch stacks
Physical size is not LED count. HG200 at 9.5 in covers a face or joint. ULTRA1500 at 39.5 in covers a torso if the user rotates. ULTRA4500 is a 61 x 16 in single chassis. Infraredi Mini is about 14.5 in. Max about 35.7 in. Semi about 50.2 in. Dual, Dual Plus, Elite, Elite Plus, and Studio share the 181.6 cm (71.5 in) height. Dual is two Max panels. Elite is four. Studio is six. Dual Plus and Elite Plus use the wider Max Plus module (35 cm vs 22 cm).
Height goes to Infraredi: 71.5 inches against 61. Width is closer at flagship: ULTRA4500 is 16 in; Dual about 8.7 in; Dual Plus about 13.8 in; Elite about 17.3 in. Dual on a door is taller and narrower. Elite on a vertical stand is taller and a little wider. Hooga’s 61-inch answer is one panel. Infraredi’s 71.5-inch answer is a stacked system. Modular is coverage, not a free irradiance multiplier on one spot.
Edge: Infraredi on named 71.5-inch Dual, Elite, and Studio height, and on a door-hook Dual that does not require a $299 stand to hang. Hooga on a 61-inch single chassis with higher lamp density and a 16-inch ULTRA width.
Modes, pulsing, and apps
Hooga HG is a timer panel. PRO adds flicker-free drive. ULTRA adds a touchscreen, brightness, pulse from 1 to 9,999 Hz, and remote panel sync. No Hooga line publishes condition presets. No companion app. No weekly plan.
Infraredi Pro 2.0 publishes 0 to 10,000 Hz, 1 to 100 percent dimming, and Bluetooth presets including Wind Down, Mini through Studio. Hooga ULTRA’s 1 to 9,999 Hz is almost the same ceiling. The practical gap is who gets a pulse control: every Infraredi Pro, versus Hooga ULTRA only.
Edge: Infraredi on 0 to 10,000 Hz and on Bluetooth presets across the Pro line. Hooga ULTRA is close on pulse ceiling and has no app, which is a privacy plus for buyers who do not want a paired device. HG and PRO do not pulse.
In the box, stands, and goggles
| Item | Hooga | Infraredi |
|---|---|---|
| The panel | Yes | Yes |
| Default mount | Tabletop with HG200, HG300, PRO, and ULTRA. Floor stand extra ($299 vertical or horizontal). Compact 1500/750 stand $199. Door hanging kit $15. | Door hook on Mini, Max, Max Plus, Semi, Dual, Dual Plus, Ultra. Vertical stand bundled on Elite, Elite Plus, Studio. Mini stand $79. Base $119. Base Plus $159. Vertical $319. Horizontal $759. Live sale stickers, 1 Sep 2026. |
| Eye protection | Protective goggles listed in the box on HG, PRO, and ULTRA pages | No goggles-in-box statement found. Brand blog advises goggles for sensitive eyes, or closing the eyes. |
| Controls | Timer on HG. Flicker-free on PRO. Touchscreen, brightness, pulse, remote sync on ULTRA. | On-panel plus Bluetooth app, presets, dimming, pulse. |
| Usage plan | None | Presets including Wind Down. No personalised weekly plan of the RLT Home type (funnel only). |
Door-hook Dual is a genuine Infraredi convenience. A 71.5-inch stack that hangs without a $299 floor stand is a different unboxing than ULTRA4500, which wants a separate vertical stand for a standing session. Hooga’s tabletop-in-box is the genuine convenience at the other end of the ladder. Goggles in the Hooga carton are a real in-box item Infraredi does not list. Infraredi’s blog is not treated as a missing-goggles smear. It is treated as an honest “bring your own or close your eyes” note.
Edge: Infraredi on door-hook Dual as the default SKU. Hooga on tabletop-in-box and on goggles listed in the carton.
User reviews: public Trustpilot, pulled 1 September 2026
This row uses independent Trustpilot listings, not manufacturer widgets. On-site stars are a different dataset. They are not added, averaged, or substituted. The award is score plus sample size, not a vibe about which brand feels loved.
Hooga
4.3 / 5
The www listing is the sample this comparison uses. UK, AU, CA, and NZ mirrors showed a much smaller regional count (9) the same day and are not mixed into the 54. Direct Trustpilot HTML fetch from this environment returned HTTP 403. Score and count were confirmed from the live Trustpilot result index for that URL.
Infraredi
3.9 / 5
The www page is the listing this comparison uses. A ca.trustpilot mirror listed 143 at 3.9 the same day. This page does not average those mirrors. Direct Trustpilot HTML fetch returned HTTP 403. Score and count were confirmed from the live Trustpilot result index for that URL.
Hooga wins the score cell: 4.3 beats 3.9. Infraredi wins the sample cell: 148 is nearly three times 54. Fifty-four reviews is usable, so 4.3 is not discarded. 148 is thicker, so 3.9 is not treated as a stub. The user-reviews criterion is split. Neither figure is an on-site star widget.
Edge: Hooga on score. Infraredi on sample. The row is split rather than forced onto one badge.
Trial, returns, and warranty
Both brands publish 60 days and three years. The differences sit in shipping the panel back and in what is excluded.
Hooga: 60-day trial, 3-year warranty. For US returns a prepaid label is offered and its cost is deducted from the refund. Open-box items are non-refundable. Outbound US shipping is free, typically 2 to 6 business days.
Infraredi: 60-day trial, 3-year warranty. No restocking fee is stated. Return shipping is the customer cost and is deducted from the refund. Outbound shipping is free express-courier from local warehouses, with Melbourne, Australia named among dispatch points, plus CA, US, and UK storefronts on the live catalog.
Trial length and warranty years are even. Return shipping is a customer cost on both. Hooga’s open-box exclusion is a real limit. Infraredi’s warehouse map is a real convenience for buyers outside the US. Neither side is assigned a fake restocking percentage.
Edge: Even on 60 days and 3 years. Infraredi on regional warehouses. Hooga on free US outbound shipping with a simple domestic story.
A note on FDA
Home red light panels sold in the United States are FDA-registered. That is a facility listing, not FDA clearance, and not a medical-grade performance classification. Hooga states it is made in an FDA-registered facility and markets the panels as general wellness. Infraredi does not print a device-specific FDA clearance for these home panels. The Australian device is TGA-listed. TGA listing is not treated as FDA clearance, and FDA-registered is not treated as cleared. Sessions with either mix may help a wellness routine. Neither brand is presented as treating disease.
Pricing: live 1 September 2026, no invented codes
Hooga prices are manufacturer selling prices from hoogahealth.com/products.json. Infraredi prices are the live Summer Sale variants from infraredi.com/products.json (door-hook default where that variant exists; vertical where that is the only SKU). Compare-at is shown in parentheses when Shopify still prints it. There is no Hooga coupon and no Infraredi coupon in this article. TOP10 at 6 percent is RLT Home only and appears in the funnel section only.

Max wins the hanging sticker. ULTRA1500 wins the named spectrometer and the four-band split. PRO1500 at $1,199 is the two-band Hooga alternative at this height. Those SKUs are not clones.
Tier 3: Full-height, ULTRA4500 versus Pro Dual 2.0
| Item | Hooga ULTRA4500 | Infraredi Pro Dual 2.0 |
|---|---|---|
| LEDs | 900 quad-chip | 420 dual-lens 6W (two Max panels) |
| Panel dimensions | 61 x 16 in | 181.6 x 22 cm (about 71.5 x 8.7 in) |

| Body coverage | 61-inch single chassis, 16 in wide | 71.5-inch stack, 8.7 in wide unless Dual Plus |
Dual is the price-and-height story: 10 inches taller and about $1,740 cheaper hanging than a bare ULTRA4500. ULTRA4500 is the density-and-width story: 900 lamps, 16 inches, one chassis. Dual Plus at $2,639 hanging widens to 35 cm. Elite at $3,519 vertical is the 840-lamp, 44 cm peer to ULTRA4500’s $3,499, stand included. PRO4500 at $3,099 is the two-band 61-inch Hooga.
Hooga stands on this pull: vertical $299, horizontal $299, compact 1500/750 $199, tabletop $99, door kit $15. Infraredi stands: Mini $79, Base $119, Base Plus $159, Vertical $319, Horizontal $759 (compare-at still on Shopify). ULTRA4500 plus vertical is $3,798. Dual door hook is $1,759. Dual plus Infraredi vertical is $2,079. That total gap is a mount story, not a smear of the denser 61-inch chassis.
Who should buy which brand
Buy Hooga when
The constraint is $149, named LTI, or a 61-inch single panel
HG200 at $149 is the cheapest real panel here. ULTRA360 at $399 already has named LTI. ULTRA1500 at $1,399 is the 104 / 81.7 mid-size. ULTRA4500 and PRO4500 are the only 61-inch single-chassis answers, denser than Dual. Goggles and tabletop ship in the box. 60 days and 3 years match Infraredi. Accept the trade: no 830 nm, no pulse on HG or PRO, no 71.5-inch stack, Trustpilot 54 reviews, and brand 6-inch numbers LTI cut roughly in half on ULTRA360.
Buy Infraredi when
The constraint is 71.5 inches, 830 nm, pulsing, or a door hook
Pro Dual 2.0 at $1,759 hanging is the cheapest 71.5-inch answer here. Mini at $559 is the cheapest five-band, 10,000 Hz, 830 nm panel. Elite at $3,519 includes the vertical stand. Studio at $5,039 is the six-Max ceiling. Accept the trade: Solar Meter 250 with no named spectrometer, unpublished density, no goggles listed in the box, 3.9 rather than 4.3, and no $149 door.
A third catalog, not a third winner on this page
RLT Home is not the overall winner of Hooga versus Infraredi. It is a third line for readers who want published seven-band density (including 480 nm and 1064 nm), 6-inch spectrometer peaks, nine science-built modes, a free personalised weekly usage plan, and a motorized stand on full-body sizes. Live 1 September 2026 from redlighttherapyhome.com/products.json: RLT Home Total Spectrum MINI $495, COMPACT $995, MAX $1,595, ULTRA $2,595, ELITE $4,495. TOP10 is 6 percent off those current prices, nearest dollar: RLT Home MINI $465, COMPACT $935, MAX $1,499, ULTRA $2,439, ELITE $4,225. No TOP10 code on Hooga or Infraredi.
Funnel, not a trophy

Verdict
🏆 Dual winner: Hooga
For the buyer whose constraint is sticker, a named 6-inch spectrometer, goggles in the carton, or a 61-inch single chassis. HG200 at $149 has no Infraredi clone. ULTRA4500 at $3,499 is the dense 16-inch-wide four-band flagship. Trustpilot score 4.3 from 54 is the higher independent mark in this pairing.
🏆 Dual winner: Infraredi
For the buyer whose constraint is 71.5-inch Dual height, 830 nm on every Pro, 0 to 10,000 Hz, or a door hook that does not wait on a $299 stand. Mini at $559 is the five-band entry. Dual at $1,759 hanging is the full-height value. Trustpilot sample 148 is the thicker independent mark in this pairing.
Neither brand is auto-crowned by a third catalog. Hooga is not a failed Infraredi. Infraredi is not an overpriced Hooga. They sell different doors into home photobiomodulation. Sessions with either mix may help a general wellness routine. Home panels here are FDA-registered, not FDA-cleared.
