Overall winner: BlockBlueLight for most buyers in this pairing. Runner-up: Infraredi for the door-hook Dual, 60-day trial, and app-controlled stack.

Both sell a flagship near 71 inches. BlockBlueLight Ultimate XXL is 71 x 24 x 2.6 inches. Infraredi Dual, Dual Plus, Elite, Elite Plus, Ultra, and Studio share 181.6 cm (71.5 inches) and grow in width from 22 cm on Dual to 70 cm on Elite Plus. This is a 5-year dual-disclose PowerPanel family versus a five-band dual-lens stack that wants to hang on a door.

Prices are manufacturer selling prices pulled 1 September 2026. BlockBlueLight uses everyday tags. Infraredi is in a live Summer Sale (20 percent off, free shipping). No invented competitor coupon. TOP10 6 percent applies only to RLT Home, and only in the later funnel.

At-a-glance verdict: BlockBlueLight for most buyers who want a spectrometer pair, a 5-year body, a thicker Trustpilot sample, and 1060 nm on the large chassis. Infraredi as runner-up for a named 71.5-inch Dual on the door-hook SKU, a 60-day trial, and app control of pulse and dimming.

The brands at a glance

BlockBlueLight

One PowerPanel family, dual figures, five-year body

BlockBlueLight is the Australian family-owned lighting brand that added PowerPanel red light therapy to a catalog that already sold blue-blocking glasses. Live 1 September 2026 ladder: Mini $499.95, Tabletop $599.95, Mid $699.95, Pro $899.95, Max $1,099.95, Mega $1,499.95, Mega Plus $2,559, Elite XL $3,499.95 without stand, Ultimate XXL $4,499.95 without stand. A Portable at $299.95 sits under Mini and is not the Mini.

The unusual habit is printing solar and spectrometer numbers at six inches on the same page. Mid above 158 / 61. Pro above 160 / 68. Max above 162 / 82. Mega above 167 / 89. Elite XL and Ultimate XXL 189 solar / 90 spectrometer average. Those pairs win the irradiance-honesty row. They are not a license to mix a solar 189 with someone else’s spectrometer 90.

Infraredi

Five-band dual-lens 6W stacks, door-hook Dual, Summer Sale

Infraredi sells dual-lens LEDs at 6 watts (two 3W chips) from Mini at 36.8 x 22 cm to a 181.6 cm Dual / Elite / Studio family. Live US door-hook prices 1 September 2026: Mini $559, Max $959, Max Plus $1,399, Semi $1,479, Dual $1,759, Dual Plus $2,639, Ultra $2,639. Elite vertical $3,519. Elite Plus $4,879. Studio $5,039. Compare-at tags still show Mini $699 through Studio $6,299.

Dual is two Pro Max panels in one 71.5-inch chassis, 420 dual-lens LEDs, 22 cm wide, door-hook $1,759 default. Elite, Elite Plus, and Studio add width and a vertical stand. That is a genuine niche, not a consolation prize.

Spectrum and wavelength density: count is not the story

Both brands put 660 nm red and 850 nm near infrared on every panel here. Infraredi publishes five named peaks: 630, 660, 810, 830, and 850 nm. The mix stops at 850 nm. There is no 1060 nm, and per-band share is not published. Dual-lens emitters carry red and near infrared together. That is even surface coverage, not a density table.

BlockBlueLight splits its catalog. Mini stays on 660 and 850. Tabletop through Mega publish 630, 660, 810, 830, 850. The Mega sheet quotes 660 40%, 630 10%, 850 40%, 830 5%, 810 5% of LEDs. Light Therapy Insiders measured a flatter Mega mix (about 25/25/17/17/17). Brand intent is 80% at 660 plus 850. Independent measurement was more even. Both belong in the record.

Elite XL, Mega Plus, and Ultimate XXL are the 1060 nm chassis. The live Elite XL page lists 590, 630, 660 nm and 810, 830, 850, 1060 nm, with 189 mW/cm2 solar and 90 mW/cm2 spectrometer average at six inches. Mega Plus and Ultimate XXL publish 590 16%, 630 17%, 660 17%, 810 14%, 830 14%, 850 13%, 1060 9%. Nine percent at 1060 is modest. It is still a band Infraredi does not ship. A seven-band panel with 9% at 1060 is not a 1064 nm clinic laser.

Edge: BlockBlueLight on published density and on 1060 nm existing at all. Infraredi on a clean five-band 810/830/850 near-infrared set that does not dilute into amber, if the buyer does not want 590 or 1060. Dual-chip on both sides is a construction fact. It is not a reason to dismiss either panel.

Power and Irradiance: Measured by Independent Third Parties

Solar power meters read high on LED panels. Spectrometers compare with spectrometers. Peak with peak. Average with average. Mixing a solar 250 with a spectrometer 90 is how this category lies. Mixing a solar Max 162 with a spectrometer 82 is the same error, even when both numbers come from BlockBlueLight. Use the pair as a pair.

BlockBlueLight prints both methods at six inches. Tabletop 140 solar / 58 spectrometer. Mid above 158 / 61. Pro above 160 / 68. Max above 162 / 82. Mega above 167 / 89. Elite XL 189 solar / 90 spectrometer average. Mega Plus lists 83.1 mW/cm2 spectrometer. Light Therapy Insiders Gen5 on a Mega: peak 105, average 81 mW/cm2. That independent average sits next to the brand spectrometer number, not next to solar 167.

Infraredi labels the column Solar Meter. Most sizes list 250 mW/cm2, some greater than 250, Mini sometimes 120 and sometimes 250. Distance is not consistently stated. There is no paired spectrometer number. That is a solar-meter figure, not a fake one, and it cannot be stacked against a 90 spectrometer average or LTI’s 81. Third-party spectrometer work in this pairing exists for BlockBlueLight Mega, not for Infraredi Dual.

Edge: BlockBlueLight, because a buyer can quote a spectrometer average at six inches and an independent Mega pass. Infraredi’s 250 solar figure is left in the solar column. It is not converted, halved, or compared as if it were a spectrometer peak.

Same ranking, different job

Park the solar-versus-spectrometer argument and open the 16-brand table

If the only remaining question is where a dual-disclose 90 average sits next to other spectrometer-tested panels, the ranking is built for that, not this two-brand page.

Compare 16 home panels

LED chips: 5W dual-chip versus 6W dual-lens

Both catalogs use dual-chip emitters. BlockBlueLight puts two dies inside a 5W package. Infraredi puts two 3W chips behind a dual lens and markets the emitter as 6W. Dual-chip is a fact about shared wattage, not an insult. The counter-claim is even red-plus-near-infrared at every spot. The trade-off is that each die does not get a full 5W the way a single-chip die would. Neither brand here uses single-chip as its story. That axis is a tie.

Infraredi leans on dual-lens evenness and no-gap layout. BlockBlueLight leans on 60-degree lenses, modular electrical linking, and a 100,000-hour LED life listing. Flicker is listed as zero on both sides. BlockBlueLight prints 0.1 uT at 6 inches for EMF. Infraredi does not put a comparable EMF number on the Pro table, so this review will not invent one.

Edge: Even on chip family. Slight BlockBlueLight on published EMF. Slight Infraredi on named dual-lens 6W copy, which is marketing language around a real 2 x 3W design, not a measured spectrometer advantage.

Beam angle

BlockBlueLight publishes 60 degrees across PowerPanel. That is a wide home-panel beam. At six to eighteen inches, a share of the cone misses a standing adult and lands on the wall. The brand does not hide the number.

Infraredi does not publish a beam angle on the Pro Mini through Elite Plus comparison table used for this review. Dual-lens copy talks about even distribution, not a degree figure. A missing beam angle is not a narrower beam. It is an unpublished spec.

Edge: BlockBlueLight for publishing 60 degrees so a buyer can plan distance. Infraredi is not awarded a phantom narrow beam.

Coverage and what full body actually means

Both brands sell a roughly 71-inch-tall face. Width and LED density decide whether that face is a full-body panel or a tall strip. Infraredi Dual is 181.6 x 22 cm (about 71.5 x 8.7 in), 420 dual-lens LEDs, 18 kg, 680 W. Dual Plus 35 cm / 600 LEDs. Elite 44 cm / 840. Elite Plus 70 cm / 1,200. Studio is six Pro Max panels, 1,260 LEDs, $5,039 vertical-stand. Semi at 127.6 cm is not full adult height.

BlockBlueLight Max is 920 x 220 mm (about 36.2 x 8.7 in), 240 LEDs. Mega keeps that height at 300 mm wide. Elite XL is 62 x 16.5 in with 720 LEDs. Ultimate XXL is 71 x 24 in with 1,200 dual-chip 5W LEDs. Dual is the cheaper 71.5-inch door-hook. XXL is the wide 71-inch wall. LED count without area is a trap: 420 LEDs on 8.7 inches is not 1,200 LEDs on 24 inches.

BlockBlueLight PowerPanel Elite XL on the manufacturer CDN
BlockBlueLight PowerPanel Elite XL, $3,499.95 without stand. 720 x 5W, 62 x 16.5 in, 1060 nm listed. Manufacturer photo.
Infraredi Pro Elite 2.0 on the manufacturer CDN
Infraredi Pro Elite 2.0, vertical stand $3,519. 840 dual-lens LEDs, 181.6 x 44 cm. Manufacturer photo.

Edge: Split by job. Infraredi Dual wins the 71.5-inch door-hook that a renter can hang today. BlockBlueLight Ultimate XXL and Elite XL win the wider 62 to 71-inch chassis if the buyer will pay for width and a separate stand.

Treatment modes, pulsing, app, and privacy

BlockBlueLight uses a touchscreen: continuous light, pulse from 1 to 10,000 Hz, user-savable presets, Ambient low-intensity mode. Panels stay offline. No companion app was verified for this review.

Infraredi ships pre-set programs including Wind Down (dim toward 1%), 1 to 100% dimming, Bluetooth, and 0 to 10,000 Hz (older Studio copy 0 to 9,999 Hz, with red not pulsing under 60 Hz). That is a real control surface and a phone-connected panel. Pulse range itself is even. App, Wind Down, and 1% dimming are Infraredi’s row.

Edge: Infraredi for app, Wind Down, and 0 to 10,000 Hz with 1 to 100% dimming. BlockBlueLight for staying offline with an on-panel 1 to 10,000 Hz slider. Pulse range itself is even.

What is in the box

BlockBlueLight ships an over-the-door hook, hanging cables, and a pulley, plus one listed goggles set. Floor stands: Base $118.95 (Mid/Max) or $131.95 (Pro/Mega), Deluxe wheeled $154.95, Horizontal $369.95, wall bracket $79.95. Elite XL and XXL offer heavy-duty and motorized bundles ($3,999.95 / $4,399.95 Elite XL, $4,999.95 / $5,399.95 XXL). Spare glasses $19.95.

Infraredi makes door hook the default on Mini through Dual Plus and Ultra, which is why Dual at $1,759 hangs tonight. Mini built-in stand $639. Sale stands: Mini $79, Base $119, Base Plus $159, Vertical $319, Horizontal $759. Elite, Elite Plus, and Studio start at vertical stand. A goggles-in-every-box statement was not found for Pro 2.0. Shipping: BlockBlueLight about $10. Infraredi free express-courier from local warehouses, including Melbourne.

Edge: Infraredi on free freight and on Dual’s door-hook default. BlockBlueLight on a hook-plus-pulley in every PowerPanel box plus a listed goggles set, with a paid-stand path that is priced in the open.

User reviews

Independent public listings only. Trustpilot first. Manufacturer on-site widgets stay off this row, including Infraredi’s 4.8 / 4.9 on-site stars. Pulled 1 September 2026:

  • BlockBlueLight at www.blockbluelight.co.uk: 4.5 / 5 from 1,137 reviews. Regional mirrors the same day showed 4.5 with counts from the high 800s to about 1,134 to 1,141. The primary snapshot used here is 1,137.
  • Infraredi at infraredi.com: 3.9 / 5 from 148 reviews. The sample is real and small. Some country mirrors still showed older 4.0 or 4.3 at lower counts. The primary listing is 3.9 from 148.

The row is awarded on score plus sample size. BlockBlueLight wins. Infraredi’s thinner file is disclosed, not padded with on-site stars.

Edge: BlockBlueLight, 4.5 from 1,137 versus 3.9 from 148, both pulled 1 September 2026 from Trustpilot.

Trial, returns, and warranty

BlockBlueLight: 30-day return, no restocking fee when the panel comes back complete and resalable, buyer pays return shipping. Codes over 15%, including major sales, move to exchange or store credit. Manufacturer warranty on PowerPanel is 5 years (some third-party listings still cite 3 years by region). Five years is two years longer than Infraredi’s 3-year replacement promise.

Infraredi: 60-day trial. Return shipping is deducted from the refund. No restocking fee is stated. Warranty is 3 years. Sixty days is double BlockBlueLight’s window, which matters if a 71.5-inch Dual might not belong in the hallway.

Edge: Split. BlockBlueLight on 5 years. Infraredi on 60 days. Do not pretend a 30-day window is a 60-day window, and do not pretend a 3-year body is a 5-year body.

FDA-registered, not cleared, for home panels

Home panels in the United States are FDA-registered, not FDA-cleared for a disease claim, and not a Class II home-panel clearance. BlockBlueLight describes the panels as FDA-registered. That wording is accurate.

Infraredi does not hang a device-specific FDA-cleared claim on the Pro 2.0 pages pulled here. The Australian device is TGA-listed. Product pages still lead with “Medical-Grade Quality,” which is marketing. HSA/FSA: BlockBlueLight lists TrueMed. Infraredi does not get an invented HSA partner. Confirm with the plan administrator.

The verdict: winner and runner-up

Overall winner

🏆 BlockBlueLight, for most buyers in this pairing

The 5-year warranty, dual-disclose spectrometer pairs, LTI Mega average of 81 mW/cm2, Trustpilot 4.5 from 1,137, published Mega density, and 1060 nm on Elite XL / Mega Plus / Ultimate XXL survive Infraredi’s Summer Sale. Mini $499.95 and Mid $699.95 remain the cheaper first panels. Dual-chip 5W is construction, not a smear.

Runner-up niche

🥈 Infraredi, for the door-hook Dual and the 60-day stack

If the job is a named 71.5-inch Dual on a door for $1,759, with free freight, a 60-day trial, Bluetooth, Wind Down, and a 0 to 10,000 Hz slider, Infraredi sells that SKU. Elite through Studio widen the same five-band dual-lens stack. Solar-meter 250 stays in the solar column. Trustpilot 3.9 from 148 stays disclosed.

A dual trophy would have been fair if the catalogs won equal buyer jobs. They do not. BlockBlueLight wins more rows that still matter after a sale sticker. Infraredi wins a hanging Dual and a kinder trial. That is a runner-up niche, not a coin flip.

Frequently asked questions

Does either brand publish a 71-inch-class panel?

Yes. BlockBlueLight Ultimate XXL is listed at 71 x 24 inches. Infraredi Pro Dual, Dual Plus, Ultra, Elite, Elite Plus, and Studio share a 181.6 cm (71.5 inch) height. Dual is 22 cm wide. Elite Plus is 70 cm wide. Height parity is not width parity.

Can I compare Infraredi’s 250 mW/cm2 with BlockBlueLight’s 90 mW/cm2?

No. Infraredi’s table is labeled Solar Meter. BlockBlueLight’s 90 is a spectrometer average at six inches on Elite XL and Ultimate XXL. Peak-to-peak or average-to-average, same instrument family. Mixing those two numbers is how solar-meter marketing inflates a comparison.

Does BlockBlueLight Elite XL actually include 1060 nm?

The live Elite XL product page on 1 September 2026 lists 590, 630, 660 nm on the red and amber side and 810, 830, 850, and 1060 nm on the near-infrared side, with 189 solar / 90 spectrometer at six inches. Mega Plus and Ultimate XXL publish a 9% share at 1060 nm. Mid through Mega remain the five-band 630 to 850 nm sheets. Mini is 660 and 850 only.

Who wins pulsing?

Neither brand owns the idea of a 10,000 Hz slider. BlockBlueLight lists 1 to 10,000 Hz on the touchscreen. Infraredi lists 0 to 10,000 Hz (older Studio copy 0 to 9,999 Hz) with app control and Wind Down. Pulse range is even. App-plus-dimming is Infraredi.

Is dual-chip a reason to skip either brand?

No. Both use dual-chip or dual-lens emitters. Dual-chip shares package wattage across two dies and spreads red and near infrared across the face. That is a design choice. It is not a defect invented for this review.

What did Trustpilot show on 1 September 2026?

BlockBlueLight 4.5 / 5 from 1,137 reviews. Infraredi 3.9 / 5 from 148 reviews. On-site manufacturer stars were not used. The thinner Infraredi sample is why BlockBlueLight takes the reviews row even before the half-point gap in score.

Is there a BlockBlueLight or Infraredi discount code on this page?

No. Infraredi’s live Summer Sale is already in the Shopify variant price (Mini $559, Dual $1,759, Studio $5,039). BlockBlueLight tags are everyday prices. TOP10 6% is RLT Home only: RLT Home Total Spectrum MINI $465, COMPACT $935, MAX $1,499, ULTRA $2,439, ELITE $4,225 from live $495 / $995 / $1,595 / $2,595 / $4,495.

Are these panels FDA-cleared?

No. Home panels in this pairing are FDA-registered, not cleared for treating a named disease. BlockBlueLight uses that registered language accurately. Infraredi uses “medical-grade” on product pages and TGA listing in Australia. Neither statement is an FDA clearance.

Bottom line

BlockBlueLight wins this pairing on a 5-year warranty, dual-disclose spectrometer figures, Trustpilot 4.5 from 1,137, published density, and 1060 nm on the large chassis (Mini $499.95 through Ultimate XXL $4,499.95). Infraredi is the runner-up for a 71.5-inch Dual on a door hook at $1,759, a 60-day trial, free freight, and app-controlled pulse, up through Studio at $5,039. Dual-chip is disclosed. Solar 250 is not compared to spectrometer 90. RLT Home stays in the funnel, not on the trophy.
