Bestqool vs Hooga: Which Red Light Therapy Brand Wins in 2026?
Medical review: All articles on Red Light Therapy Top 10 are reviewed for scientific accuracy and evidence-based relevance by our medical expert team. This page is wellness information, not a diagnosis or a treatment plan.
This pairing is a budget-panel fight, not a third-brand crown. Bestqool sells a dual-chip BQ and Pro ladder from $149, with four listed bands on Pro panels and stands sold separately. Hooga sells three chip families, a named Light Therapy Insiders file on ULTRA1500, and a 61-inch ULTRA4500. RLT Home is a later funnel option only.
Winner summary · dual-chip ladder vs named LTI and 61-inch chassis
Overall winner: Hooga
Bestqool and Hooga both open at $149. Bestqool’s live catalog on 1 September 2026 runs BQ40 at $149 through Pro200 at $589, with Pro300 at $899. Dual-chip is the hardware fact on BQ and Pro, not a knock. Density per band is unpublished. Stands are extra. The live refund-policy page does not offer a trial on lighting products. Hooga’s live catalog the same day runs HG200 at $149 through ULTRA4500 at $3,499 (PRO4500 $3,099, ULTRA1500 $1,399). HG is single-chip 660/850, PRO dual-chip 660/850, ULTRA quad-chip 630/660/810/850. Light Therapy Insiders published the only named third-party spectrometer in this pairing, on ULTRA1500: 104 mW/cm² peak and 81.7 mW/cm² average at 6 inches. Bestqool’s 3-inch brand figures are not mixed with it. RLT Home appears only as a later funnel.
At-a-glance verdict: Hooga is the better fit for most buyers choosing between these two, because a 60-day trial, a 3-year warranty, a named independent irradiance file, and a 61-inch chassis change how the purchase actually behaves. Bestqool is the genuine runner-up for a dual-chip Pro ladder that stays under $600 for a 36-inch, 200-LED panel and carries the thicker Trustpilot sample.

The brands at a glance
Bestqool
Dual-chip BQ and modular Pro ladder
Bestqool is a value-priced dual-chip panel brand. Dual models (BQ40, BQ60) list 660/850 nm. Pro panels and BQ150 add 630 nm and 940 nm. BQ60Pro is a clamp-mount six-band list. Live catalog 1 September 2026: BQ40 $149, BQ60 $189, BQ60Pro $299, Pro100 $319, BQ150 $519, Pro200 $589, Pro300 $899. A compare table on the refund-policy page listed lower figures the same day (BQ40 $109, Pro200 $470); this page uses the live catalog. Stands extra ($299 / $399). Warranty two years. Live policy: no returns on lighting products.
Hooga
Three chip families and a 61-inch chassis
Hooga Health splits the catalog into three families: HG single-chip 660/850, PRO dual-chip 660/850, ULTRA quad-chip 630/660/810/850. Live catalog 1 September 2026 runs HG200 $149 through ULTRA4500 $3,499 (ULTRA1500 $1,399, PRO4500 $3,099). Light Therapy Insiders measured ULTRA1500 at 104 mW/cm² peak and 81.7 mW/cm² average at 6 inches, below the brand 165 mW/cm² claim. Hooga cites those independent numbers on its quality page. Warranty three years. Trial 60 days, return shipping deducted.
Spectrum and wavelength density: count is not the story
Bestqool can list two, four, or six wavelengths depending on the model. Hooga can list two or four. Count is not the story. Density is: the share of LEDs, and therefore output, in each band. Bestqool does not publish that share. Hooga’s HG and PRO lines are two-band, so the practical split is red and near infrared. Hooga ULTRA uses quad-chip packages, which means four listed bands share each 5W package. This page will not treat a longer wavelength list as a win unless the share is known or the chip math is named.
Bestqool: Dual 660/850, Pro 630/660/850/940, unpublished share
BQ40 and BQ60 are two-band Dual panels: 660 nm red and 850 nm near infrared, the common starter mix. Dual-chip puts both listed bands on each package, which helps even surface coverage. It does not add bands that are not in the list. Pro100, Pro200, Pro300, and BQ150 list 630, 660, 850, and 940 nm, a real list difference versus Hooga PRO, which stays at 660/850. Allocation is unpublished, so 940 nm could be a share or a sprinkling. BQ60Pro lists six bands including 810 nm on a $299 clamp-mount panel, still without LED percentages.
Hooga: two bands on HG and PRO, four on ULTRA, no 940 and no 1064
HG and PRO concentrate on 660 nm and 850 nm, the same two-band starter mix as Bestqool Dual, with a hardware fork: HG is single-chip, PRO is dual-chip. ULTRA adds 630 nm and 810 nm through quad-chip LEDs. 810 nm is the meaningful extra versus Bestqool Pro’s 940 nm. No Hooga panel lists 830, 480, 940, or 1064 nm. Quad-chip is a density fact: four dies share one 5W package, so each listed band gets a smaller slice of drive power in exchange for 630/660/810/850 at every LED location.
| Band | Bestqool Dual | Bestqool Pro / BQ150 | Bestqool BQ60Pro | Hooga HG / PRO | Hooga ULTRA |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 480 nm (blue) | No | No | No | No | No |

| 940 nm (near infrared) | No | Listed, share unknown | Listed, share unknown | No | No |
| 1064 nm (deep infrared) | No | No | No | No | No |
Edge: Hooga ULTRA for a named 810 nm band on a full-height panel — the band most often discussed for muscle recovery. Bestqool Pro for a named 940 nm band on the dual-chip ladder. Neither brand publishes per-band LED percentages, and neither lists 1064 nm (the deep band buyers usually mean for arthritis and osteoarthritis). Dual-chip on Bestqool is a fact about even surface coverage, not a density table.
Power and Irradiance: Measured by Independent Third Parties
Solar power meters over-report LED output. Spectrometers are the accurate reference. Peak compares with peak. Average compares with average. A 3-inch brand figure with an unnamed method is not a 6-inch spectrometer peak, and it should not be converted. These two brands do not publish like-for-like numbers. That is the whole section. There is no power winner from mixed data.
Bestqool publishes brand-tested irradiance at 3 inches. The method is not named on the comparison table or the product pages checked for this review. No named third-party spectrometer file for a Bestqool panel was found at write time. The live brand figures are:
| Bestqool device | Brand-stated irradiance @ 3 inches | Method named? |
|---|---|---|
| BQ40 | 70 mW/cm² | No |
| BQ60 | 95.6 mW/cm² | No |
| Pro100 | 109 mW/cm² | No |
| Pro200 | 111 mW/cm² | No |
| Pro300 | 106 mW/cm² | No |
Those numbers stay in their own column. They are not ranked against Hooga LTI six-inch spectrometer readings, and they are not ranked against Hooga’s brand 6-inch claims.
Hooga publishes brand irradiance at 6 inches (ULTRA1500 165 mW/cm²; ULTRA360 132). Those figures appear solar-meter based. Light Therapy Insiders measured ULTRA1500 with a spectrometer at 6 inches: 104 mW/cm² peak and 81.7 mW/cm² average across nine spots. The same lab’s ULTRA360 work landed around 74 mW/cm² against a 132 claim. Hooga cites the ULTRA1500 independent numbers on its quality page. That is not a license to mix Bestqool’s unnamed 3-inch figures into the same race.
| Hooga device | Brand-stated @ 6 inches | Named third-party spectrometer |
|---|---|---|
| ULTRA360 | 132 mW/cm² | LTI about 74 mW/cm² (spectrometer) |
| ULTRA1500 | 165 mW/cm² | LTI 104 peak / 81.7 avg mW/cm² at 6 in |
| ULTRA4500 | 155 mW/cm² | No named LTI file found for this write |
| PRO and HG lines | Brand 6-inch figures, method unstated | No named spectrometer file found for this write |
Edge: Not ranked. Hooga has the only named independent spectrometer file in this pairing (LTI on ULTRA1500, with a second LTI point on ULTRA360). Bestqool has 3-inch brand figures and no named third-party spectrometer. Those datasets are not comparable, so this page does not award a power row.
LED chips: dual-chip is a fact, not a smear
Bestqool BQ and Pro panels use dual-chip LEDs (brand: elite grade). Two dies share the package. The honest advantage is more even surface distribution. The honest cost is split package power. Dual-chip is not a defect. Hooga splits the choice: HG single-chip, PRO dual-chip 660/850, ULTRA quad-chip 630/660/810/850. Quad-chip is the most even multi-band surface and the smallest per-band slice of a 5W package, which is why ULTRA can list 810 nm at every LED location.
Like-for-like chip talk is Bestqool Dual versus Hooga PRO (both dual-chip 660/850). Bestqool Pro is still dual-chip with a four-band list. Hooga ULTRA is quad-chip with a four-band list. Those are not the same split.
Edge: Split by buyer. Bestqool if the job is a dual-chip ladder from $149 Dual through $589 Pro200. Hooga if the job is choosing chip type on purpose: single-chip HG, dual-chip PRO, or quad-chip ULTRA with 810 nm in every package.
Beam angle
Bestqool’s Dual-series user manual lists a 60-degree beam. Hooga lists 60 degrees across HG, PRO, and ULTRA. In this pairing the beam row is a match, not a differentiator. A 60-degree beam spreads a wider patch at a given distance than a tight 19-degree or 30-degree optic. It also drops intensity faster off axis. Neither brand in this pairing publishes a named independent beam-angle lab file that would let this page pick a winner on measured beam rather than listed beam.
Edge: Even on listed 60-degree beam. No measured beam-angle file was used to break the tie.
Coverage, height, width, and LED density
LED count is a weak headline. Two panels with similar outer dimensions can pack very different LED density (LEDs per square inch). Height decides whether a standing adult is covered in one placement. Width decides whether a torso is covered without stepping sideways. Bestqool’s tallest live Pro panel is 36.4 inches. Hooga’s tallest live panels are 61 inches. That height gap is the coverage story, and it is larger than the $149 entry stickers suggest.
| Panel | LEDs | H x W (in) | LEDs / sq in | Live price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bestqool BQ40 | 40 dual-chip | 11.3 x 5.6 | 0.63 | $149 |
| Hooga HG200 | 40 single-chip | 9.5 x 6 | 0.70 | $149 |
| Bestqool BQ60 | 60 dual-chip | 13.1 x 8.4 | 0.55 | $189 |
| Hooga HG300 | 60 single-chip | 12.2 x 8.2 | 0.60 | $199 |
| Bestqool Pro100 | 100 dual-chip | 19.7 x 8.4 | 0.60 | $319 |
| Hooga PRO300 | 60 dual-chip | 12.7 x 8.6 | 0.55 | $299 |
| Bestqool Pro200 | 200 dual-chip | 36.8 x 8.4 | 0.65 | $589 |
| Hooga HG1000 | 200 single-chip | 35.8 x 8.2 | 0.68 | $599 |
| Hooga PRO1500 | 300 dual-chip | 36 x 8.6 | 0.97 | $1,199 |
| Hooga ULTRA1500 | 300 quad-chip | 39.5 x 8.6 | 0.88 | $1,399 |
| Bestqool Pro300 | 300 dual-chip | 36.4 x 13.5 | 0.61 | $899 |
| Hooga HG1500 | 300 single-chip | 35.8 x 11 | 0.76 | $899 |
| Hooga PRO4500 | 900 dual-chip | 61.2 x 15.7 | 0.94 | $3,099 |
| Hooga ULTRA4500 | 900 quad-chip | 61 x 16 | 0.92 | $3,499 |
Density favors Hooga at the tall SKUs (PRO1500 0.97, ULTRA1500 0.88 versus Pro200 0.65 and Pro300 0.61). Pro300’s counter is width: 13.5 inches versus Hooga’s 8.6-inch mid panels. Bestqool markets Pro300 as full-body; at 36.4 inches it covers a standing adult in two placements. Hooga ULTRA1500 is in the same height class and narrower. The 61-inch ULTRA4500 is the first single chassis in this pairing tall enough for a standing adult in one full-body placement. Connecting extra panels increases coverage area, not irradiance on one spot, and multiplies stand cost.
Edge: Hooga for height (61-inch ULTRA4500 / PRO4500) and for LED density at tall SKUs. Bestqool Pro300 for width at the 36-inch class (13.5 in versus 8.6 in). Entry density is close (BQ40 0.63 vs HG200 0.70).
Modes, timers, and what is not in either box
Neither brand publishes named condition presets built from a study database. Buyers who want a Skin or Sleep button will not find one here. What they will find is timers and channel switches.
Bestqool panels use a digital control panel with an auto timer and red / near-infrared channel control. No named therapy modes were published on the live product pages used for this review. Protective eyewear is listed with Pro-series key features. The brand FAQ advises eye protection when near infrared is used near the face.
Hooga HG is a built-in timer. PRO adds flicker-free listing and stand compatibility. ULTRA adds a touchscreen timer, per-channel brightness, pulse from 1 to 9,999 Hz, and remote sync so multiple ULTRA panels can run together. That is more control hardware than Bestqool publishes. It is still not a condition-mode library.
Edge: Hooga ULTRA for touchscreen, brightness, pulse, and panel sync. Neither brand wins a condition-preset row because neither publishes one.
What is in the box, and what is sold next to the box
| Item | Bestqool | Hooga |
|---|---|---|
| Panel | Yes | Yes |
| Tabletop / clamp stand | BQ60Pro clamp included. Other models: stand extra | Foldable tabletop with HG200 and HG300. Tabletop with PRO and ULTRA |
| Floor stand | Adjustable Mobile Stand $299. Universal Stand $399 | Vertical Stand $299. Horizontal Stand $299. Compact 1500/750 Stand $199 |
| Eye protection | Listed with Pro-series key features | Protective goggles listed in what’s-included on HG, PRO, and ULTRA product pages. Spare glasses also sold at $30 |
| Door hang | Not a headline included accessory on the Dual/Pro pages used here | Door hanging kit $15. Regular door mount $10 |
Hooga’s small panels arrive closer to ready-to-use because a tabletop stand is in the HG200 and HG300 box. Bestqool BQ40 and BQ60 need a separate stand for hands-free use; BQ60Pro includes a clamp. Floor stands land at $299 on both. Bestqool’s Universal Stand is $399. Hooga’s Horizontal Stand at $299 is still a manual stand, not a motorized electric tilt.
Edge: Hooga for tabletop-in-the-box on the small panels. Bestqool BQ60Pro for a clamp in the box. Floor stands are extra on both, at live $299 to $399.
User reviews: independent Trustpilot, 1 September 2026
This row uses public Trustpilot listings only. Manufacturer on-site star widgets are not mixed in. Score, review count, and date are named. The award follows score plus sample size, not vibes.
Bestqool · bestqool.com
4.5 / 5 from 194 reviews
Public Trustpilot listing for bestqool.com, pulled 1 September 2026. The same-day UK regional listing showed a smaller sample (4.4 from 119). This page uses the main bestqool.com listing. 194 reviews is a usable independent sample for a budget panel brand. Common themes in the public thread include delivery speed, product feel, and occasional shipping or packaging complaints. This page does not treat those comments as lab data.
Hooga · hoogahealth.com
4.3 / 5 from 54 reviews
Public Trustpilot listing for hoogahealth.com, pulled 1 September 2026. 54 reviews is a thin sample. A 4.3 score on 54 reviews can move on a handful of new one-star or five-star posts. Hooga’s own site hosts a much larger star widget. That widget is not used here. The independent listing is the thin one, and it is the one that counts for this row.
Bestqool’s 4.5 from 194 beats Hooga’s 4.3 from 54 on both score and sample. The Hooga sample is too small to treat 4.3 as a settled brand reputation. The Bestqool sample is large enough to be a real public record and still smaller than the biggest panel brands on Trustpilot. Neither listing is mixed with Amazon or on-site stars.
Edge: Bestqool, on score plus sample. Hooga’s 54-review listing is named and thin, not discarded and not padded.
Trial, refunds, and warranty: live policy wording
Older notes on Bestqool conflicted. Some described no returns on lighting. Some mentioned a 30-day window. The live page is the referee. This write opened bestqool.com/policies/refund-policy on 1 September 2026. It does not invent a 60-day trial, and it does not invent a 30-day lighting return window that the live page does not grant.
Bestqool live refund policy (1 September 2026). Quote from the live page: “Since all lighting systems depreciate with use (including the sunlight), Bestqool does not accept returns on any lighting products. Replacements will be provided in accordance with our Warranty Policy for defective units.” Later on the same page: “Most of lights carry a 2-Year warranty at no cost to fix. No return for refunds, exchanges, credit or replacement are accepted.” Defective units go through warranty. Within 180 days Bestqool covers shipping of a defective unit to the warehouse. From 181 days to 2 years the customer pays that shipping. Packages marked delivered but not received are offered a one-time replacement, not a refund.
That is a warranty, not a trial. A buyer who simply does not like the panel is outside the policy as written. There is no restocking-fee discussion because there is no lighting return path to restock. The brand-pack note about a prepaid label inside a 30-day window does not match the live lighting paragraph, so it is not used here.
Hooga live refund policy (1 September 2026). Quote from the live page: “You have 60 days from the day your order is delivered to return it.” US customers can generate a prepaid return label at discounted rates. “Returns are not free, the return shipping cost is deducted from your refund when we receive the item.” Items must be in original condition and packaging. Open-box items cannot be refunded. Exchanges for preference go through a return plus a new order. International returns may pick up US customs charges after the August 2025 de minimis change, and Hooga does not cover those fees.
Hooga’s 60-day window is a real trial with a real cost: inbound shipping. Bestqool’s 2-year warranty is a real defect path with no change-of-mind path on lighting. Warranty length also splits: Hooga panels list 3 years, Bestqool lists 2 years. Those are catalog facts, not invented weaknesses.
Edge: Hooga on trial window and on warranty length. Bestqool’s live lighting policy is no returns, refunds, exchanges, credit, or replacement except the warranty path for defects.
FDA language, medical-grade wording, and HSA/FSA
Home red light panels sold in the United States are FDA-registered, not FDA-cleared, unless a specific 510(k) clearance is shown for that device. Neither catalog in this pairing is treated as a cleared medical device on this page.
Bestqool is FDA-registered. Product copy also uses medical-grade language, and the site footer describes devices as Class II medical devices, 510(k) exempt under 21 CFR 890.5500. That wording is Bestqool’s. It is fair to report it. It is also fair to keep the home-panel fact next to it: registered is not cleared. “Medical-grade” in marketing is not a separate FDA trophy.
Hooga states that panels are made in an FDA-registered facility and markets them as general wellness. That is the more conservative sentence. It is not a reason to invent a clearance Hooga does not claim, and it is not a reason to treat Bestqool’s Class II sentence as a clearance either.
Both brands list HSA/FSA eligibility. Both advertise free mainland US shipping (Bestqool as a site banner; Hooga as free US shipping on the live catalog). Financing widgets sit on both storefronts. This page does not treat a payment widget as a clinical credential.
Edge: Even on the actual listing (FDA-registered, not cleared). Bestqool’s medical-grade and Class II exempt sentences are reported, not upgraded into a clearance win.
Pricing: live 1 September 2026, like-for-like configurations
Prices below are manufacturer catalog prices from each brand’s products.json on 1 September 2026. Bestqool’s storefront also banners an automatic 10% off on the 6th and 26th of the month. That banner is not applied as a code in these tables. No Hooga code is applied. TOP10 is RLT Home only and appears in the next-comparisons section, not against these two stickers.

Same sticker. Dual-chip at $149 is BQ40. Tabletop in the box at $149 is HG200.
Tier 2: small dual-chip, about $189 to $299
| Item | Bestqool BQ60 / BQ60Pro / Pro100 | Hooga HG300 / PRO300 / ULTRA360 |
|---|---|---|
| Live prices | BQ60 $189 (60 dual-chip, 660/850). BQ60Pro $299 (six listed bands, clamp). Pro100 $319 (100 dual-chip, 630/660/850/940) | HG300 $199 (60 single-chip). PRO300 $299 (60 dual-chip). ULTRA360 $399 (72 quad-chip, 630/660/810/850) |
| Stand | Clamp on BQ60Pro. Others extra | Tabletop with HG300. Tabletop with PRO and ULTRA |
| Named spectrometer | None | ULTRA360 LTI about 74 vs 132 claimed |
BQ60 undercuts HG300 by $10 with dual-chip instead of single-chip. Pro100 at $319 is the first 4-band dual-chip step, cheaper than ULTRA360 at $399, without a named spectrometer. PRO300 at $299 is the dual-chip 660/850 twin of Bestqool Dual, not of Bestqool Pro.

Pro200 at $589 is Bestqool’s clearest sticker win: 36-inch, 200 dual-chip, four listed bands. Hooga’s price twin is HG1000 at $599 (two-band single-chip). Dual-chip height twin PRO1500 is $1,199. Measured height twin ULTRA1500 is $1,399 with the named LTI file. Dual-chip 36-inch coverage at Dual-adjacent money is Pro200, with unpublished density and no lighting trial.

Pro300 and HG1500 share $899. Pro300 is dual-chip and wider; HG1500 is denser. Neither is 61 inches. Two Pro300 panels can approach coverage area. They still do not become a 61-inch sheet, and they still sit under Bestqool’s no-returns lighting policy.
Who should choose Bestqool?
Best fit
The dual-chip Pro ladder, if Dual and Pro stickers hold
- Want dual-chip hardware from the first $149 panel (BQ40) through Pro200 at $589
- Want a 36-inch, four-listed-band panel without paying Hooga PRO1500 or ULTRA1500 money
- Want Pro300’s 13.5-inch width in the 36-inch class
- Care about the thicker public Trustpilot sample (4.5 from 194, 1 September 2026)
- Accept unpublished wavelength density and a 3-inch brand irradiance figure with no named spectrometer
- Accept a 2-year warranty and the live refund policy: no returns on lighting products, warranty for defects only
- Do not need a 61-inch single panel, a 60-day trial, or a named LTI file
Who should choose Hooga?
Best fit
Named LTI file, 61-inch chassis, 60-day window
- Want a named independent spectrometer file (Light Therapy Insiders on ULTRA1500: 104 peak / 81.7 avg at 6 inches), even when that file reads below the brand claim
- Want a 61-inch single chassis (ULTRA4500 $3,499 or PRO4500 $3,099)
- Want a 60-day return window, knowing inbound shipping is deducted from the refund
- Want a 3-year panel warranty rather than 2 years
- Want to pick chip type: single-chip HG, dual-chip PRO, or quad-chip ULTRA with 810 nm
- Accept a thin public Trustpilot sample (4.3 from 54) and brand 6-inch figures that independent work has read as high
- Accept that HG and PRO stay at 660/850, and that ULTRA still has no 940 nm and no 1064 nm
A third catalog, if this pairing is the wrong fight
Some buyers land on Bestqool vs Hooga and then realize they wanted published per-band density, a 1064 nm share, a motorized stand in the box, or a 60-day trial with free return shipping. That buyer is no longer choosing between these two. RLT Home is the funnel option for that job, not a silent overall winner of this page.

Live catalog: RLT Home Total Spectrum MINI $495 (TOP10 $465), COMPACT $995 ($935), MAX $1,595 ($1,499), ULTRA $2,595 ($2,439), ELITE $4,495 ($4,225). Code TOP10 is 6% off current RLT Home prices, nearest dollar. It is not a Bestqool code and not a Hooga code. Stands are included. Trial is 60 days with free insured return shipping. Warranty is 3 years. Seven published bands including 480 nm and 1064 nm. Spectrometer peaks at 6 inches across the line.

The verdict: winner and runner-up inside this pairing
Trophy
Winner, Hooga, for most buyers in this pairing
Four things change the purchase once the $149 stickers are set aside. A named Light Therapy Insiders spectrometer file on ULTRA1500 (104 peak / 81.7 avg at 6 inches). A 61-inch ULTRA4500 / PRO4500 chassis that Bestqool does not sell as a single panel. A 60-day return window (inbound shipping deducted). A 3-year panel warranty. Those are live, checkable facts. They are why Hooga takes the overall row between these two catalogs.
Hooga is not a clean sweep. The Trustpilot sample is thin. HG and PRO stay at two bands. Quad-chip ULTRA splits package power four ways. Brand 6-inch figures have been read high by the same lab that produced the named file. Those limits stay on the page.
Niche
Runner-up, Bestqool, for the dual-chip Pro ladder
Bestqool’s genuine niche is the dual-chip ladder itself. BQ40 at $149 is dual-chip, not a single-chip teaser. Pro200 at $589 is a 36-inch, four-listed-band panel at about half of Hooga PRO1500 or ULTRA1500. Pro300 at $899 is the wider 36-inch panel (13.5 in). Public Trustpilot is 4.5 from 194 reviews, which wins the reviews row on score plus sample. Modular Pro is a real coverage-area path if the buyer later adds a second panel.
The live refund policy is the matching limit: no returns on lighting products, 2-year warranty for defects, 3-inch brand irradiance with no named spectrometer, unpublished density, and a 36.4-inch ceiling. Those are why Bestqool is runner-up, not overall, for most buyers in this pairing.
RLT Home is not the overall winner of Bestqool vs Hooga. Buyers who want that seven-band comparison should use the live Hooga vs RLT Home page, the live Bestqool vs RLT Home page, or the 16-brand ranking.
Frequently asked questions
Is dual-chip on Bestqool a problem?
No. Dual-chip is a fact. Two dies share the package, which spreads listed bands across the face of the panel and splits package power. Bestqool Dual and Pro are dual-chip. Hooga PRO is also dual-chip. Hooga HG is single-chip. Hooga ULTRA is quad-chip. This page does not treat dual-chip as a smear and does not treat it as a density table.
Can Bestqool’s 3-inch numbers be compared with Hooga’s LTI 6-inch numbers?
No. Bestqool’s 70 to 111 mW/cm² figures are brand-stated at 3 inches with the method not named. LTI measured Hooga ULTRA1500 at 6 inches (104 peak / 81.7 average). Different distances and unnamed methods do not get converted. That is why the power row is not ranked.
Does Bestqool offer a 60-day trial?
Not on the live refund-policy page pulled 1 September 2026: no returns on lighting products; replacements follow the 2-year warranty. Older 30-day notes conflict with that paragraph, so they are not used. Hooga offers 60 days, with return shipping deducted.
Which brand has the better public review record?
Bestqool, on the independent Trustpilot listings used for this write. Bestqool 4.5 from 194 reviews versus Hooga 4.3 from 54 reviews, both pulled 1 September 2026. Hooga’s sample is thin. On-site star widgets are not mixed into that row.
Which panel is actually full body?
The 61-inch Hooga ULTRA4500 and PRO4500 are the only single chassis here tall enough for a standing adult in one placement. Bestqool Pro300 at 36.4 x 13.5 inches is marketed as full-body and still needs a second placement by height.
Do either of these brands include 1064 nm?
No. Bestqool Dual is 660/850. Bestqool Pro lists 630/660/850/940. Hooga HG and PRO are 660/850. Hooga ULTRA is 630/660/810/850. Buyers who want a published 1064 nm share are looking at a different pairing. RLT Home is linked above as a funnel option for that job, not as a trophy on this page.
Are these devices FDA-cleared?
This page treats both home-panel catalogs as FDA-registered, not FDA-cleared. Bestqool also uses medical-grade and Class II / 510(k) exempt wording. Hooga describes an FDA-registered facility and general wellness. Registered is not cleared.
Is there a discount code for Bestqool or Hooga on this page?
No. This page does not invent or apply a Bestqool or Hooga code. Bestqool’s storefront banners an automatic 10% off on the 6th and 26th of the month; that banner is not applied in the tables. The only code named on this page is TOP10, 6% off current RLT Home prices, and only in the funnel section.
