Red Light Rising vs BlockBlueLight: Which Red Light Therapy Brand Wins in 2026?
Medical review: All articles on Red Light Therapy Top 10 are reviewed for scientific accuracy and evidence-based relevance by our medical expert team. This page is wellness information, not a diagnosis or a treatment plan. Home panels may help with recovery, skin comfort, and general wellness. They are not a substitute for clinical care.
This pairing is a UK specialist against a global PowerPanel catalog. Red Light Rising sells Advantage 2.0 and Stack panels in pounds, ships free in the UK and EU, and currently runs a limited-time 365-day return for individual customers on panels. BlockBlueLight sells Mini through Ultimate XXL in US dollars, publishes solar-meter and spectrometer twins at six inches, lists 1060 nm on current Generation 6 PowerPanels, and backs body panels with a five-year warranty. RLT Home is not in this dual. It appears only in the ranking funnel at the end.

Red Light Rising
The UK panel brand with a year-long private-buyer trial
Red Light Rising is a UK company. Live panels on 1 September 2026: Half Stack (100 x 3W, 50 x 22 cm, £599), Full Stack (200 x 3W, 120 x 22 cm, £980), Advantage 450 (£1,150) and Advantage 900 (£1,725) as size variants of one product. Stacks use 630, 660, 810, 850 at 25 percent each. Advantage adds 830 nm. USA plugs were out of stock on this pull. Floor stand £125. Vertical stand £499. Horizontal stand £499 (out of stock). Motorised horizontal £799. Desktop stand £125.
Advantage lists six smart modes, a touchscreen, a remote, and modular linking. Door/wall hanging kit in the box. Eye protection on Advantage. Floor stand extra. Panel warranty three years. Limited-time 365-day return for individual customers; customer pays return shipping. Commercial buyers stay on 60 days. The brand says the products are not a medical treatment. This page does not invent US FDA clearance for a UK company.
BlockBlueLight
The PowerPanel ladder with 1060 nm and a five-year body warranty
Live PowerPanel stickers on 1 September 2026: Mini $499.95, Tabletop $599.95, MID $699.95, PRO $899.95, MAX $1,099.95, MEGA $1,499.95, MEGA PLUS $2,559, Elite XL $3,499.95 without stand ($3,999.95 HD, $4,399.95 motorized), Ultimate XXL $4,499.95 without stand ($4,999.95 HD, $5,399.95 motorised). Mini is 660/850 with 40 x 5W LEDs. From Tabletop up, current Generation 6 pages list 590 through 1060 nm. The MEGA page still also carries older five-band copy. This article treats 1060 nm as a live Gen 6 claim, notes the leftover paragraph, and uses the MEGA PLUS density sheet (590 16%, 630 17%, 660 17%, 810 14%, 830 14%, 850 13%, 1060 9%) rather than inventing MEGA diode shares.
PowerPanels use 5W dual-chip LEDs and a 60-degree beam. Door hook, cables, remote, and goggles in the box. Floor stands extra ($118.95 or $131.95). Elite XL/XXL stands add $500 HD or $900 motorized. Five-year warranty on body panels; Tabletop 3 years; Mini 1 year. 30-day trial, customer pays return shipping, no restocking if resalable. Discount over 15 percent becomes exchange or store credit. Shipping about $10. FDA-registered general wellness wording. Dual-chip is a hardware fact, not a smear.
Spectrum and wavelength density
Count is the wrong scoreboard. Density first. A seven-wavelength panel can still put a single-digit share on 1060 nm.
Red Light Rising Advantage publishes a diode map. Advantage 900 (300 LEDs): 630 x 30, 660 x 120, 810 x 20, 830 x 20, 850 x 110. That is 10% / 40% / 6.7% / 6.7% / 36.7%. Combined 810 plus 830 is 13.3 percent. Combined 660 plus 850 is 76.7 percent. Advantage 450 uses the same ratios on 150 LEDs. No blue. No 1060. Stacks skip 830 and split four bands at 25 percent each.
BlockBlueLight Mini is 660 and 850 only. Current Generation 6 PowerPanel pages list 590, 630, 650 or 660 (both numbers appear), 810, 830, 850, and 1060 nm. The MEGA PLUS percentage sheet is 590 16%, 630 17%, 660 17%, 810 14%, 830 14%, 850 13%, 1060 9%. Combined 810 plus 830 is 28 percent. 1060 nm is present at 9 percent, not the largest slice. MEGA still also prints older five-band copy. Read both blocks.
| Band | Red Light Rising Advantage 900 | BlockBlueLight MEGA PLUS sheet | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|---|
| 590 nm amber | None | 16% | Surface / ambient. Not a deep-tissue band |
| 630 nm red | 10% | 17% | Skin and shallow tissue |
| 660 nm red | 40% | 17% | Widely studied skin and mitochondrial band |
| 810 nm NIR | 6.7% | 14% | Muscle, joint, and the best-studied transcranial band |
| 830 nm NIR | 6.7% | 14% | Muscle and joint. Advantage is one of the few five-band maps that still prints 830 |
| 850 nm NIR | 36.7% | 13% | Deep-red/NIR workhorse |
| 1060 nm deep NIR | None | 9% | Deeper reach than 850 in tissue models. Live on BBL Gen 6. Absent on RLR |
| 810 + 830 | 13.3% | 28% | Advantage still budgets both. BBL’s published 7-band sheet budgets more of them plus 1060 |
Edge: BlockBlueLight for a live 1060 nm slice and a published 7-band sheet. Red Light Rising for a five-band Advantage map that includes 810 and 830 and skips blue and 1060 on purpose. Stack buyers at Red Light Rising do not get 830.
Power and Irradiance: Measured by Independent Third Parties
Solar meters over-report LED output. This section uses spectrometer figures only, peak against peak or average against average. MEGA 167, Elite XL 189, and MAX 162 stay in the solar column. Red Light Rising Hopoo averages are at 15 cm, labelled 6 inches. BlockBlueLight dual-discloses at 6 inches. Distances match closely enough for one table.
| Panel | Spectrometer figure | Instrument and distance | Do not confuse with |
|---|---|---|---|
| Red Light Rising Half Stack / Full Stack | 57.0 mW/cm² average | In-house Hopoo OHSP-350F at 15 cm | Not a peak. Not a solar-meter number |
| Red Light Rising Advantage 450 / 900 | 86.4 mW/cm² average | In-house Hopoo OHSP-350F at 15 cm. Same per-LED irradiance on both sizes | Not a six-inch peak |
| Red Light Rising Advantage 900 (third party) | Peak 106, average 75 mW/cm² | Light Therapy Insiders spectrometer | Do not average this with Hopoo 86.4 |
| BlockBlueLight Tabletop | 58 mW/cm² spectrometer | Brand dual-disclose at 6 in (solar 140 listed separately) | Ignore the solar 140 here |
| BlockBlueLight MID | Greater than 61 mW/cm² spectrometer | Brand, 6 in | Solar greater than 158 is a different instrument |
| BlockBlueLight PRO | Greater than 68 mW/cm² spectrometer | Brand, 6 in | Solar greater than 160 stays out |
| BlockBlueLight MAX | Greater than 82 mW/cm² spectrometer | Brand, 6 in | Solar greater than 162 is the number people quote. It is not a spectrometer score |
| BlockBlueLight MEGA | 87 mW/cm² spectrometer average (live MEGA page, 1 Sep 2026) | Brand, 6 in. Solar 167 listed separately | Do not put 167 next to Hopoo 86.4 |
| BlockBlueLight MEGA (third party) | Peak 105, average 81 mW/cm² | Light Therapy Insiders Gen5 spectrometer | Compare this with RLR Advantage 900 LTI peak 106 / avg 75, not with solar 167 |
| BlockBlueLight Elite XL | 90 mW/cm² spectrometer average | Brand, 6 in. Solar 189 listed separately | 189 is solar. 90 is spectrometer |
On the shared third-party lab, Advantage 900 and MEGA are close: LTI peak 106 versus 105, average 75 versus 81. MEGA takes the average. Advantage 900 takes the peak by 1 mW/cm². Brand in-house averages (Hopoo 86.4, MEGA 87, Elite XL 90) also cluster once solar headlines are removed. Hopoo is named and still in-house. Dual-disclose is the process win because the solar number is labelled as comparison, not dosing.
Edge: No honest knock-out on like-for-like spectrometer output at six inches. BlockBlueLight for dual-disclose plus a slightly higher LTI average on MEGA versus Advantage 900. Red Light Rising for naming the Hopoo OHSP-350F and publishing the same average on both Advantage sizes. Never use MAX 162 solar as if it were a spectrometer score.
LED chips: 3W versus 5W dual-chip
Red Light Rising publishes 3W LEDs. Chip layout is not published, so this page does not invent single-chip or dual-chip for that brand. BlockBlueLight publishes 5W dual-chip LEDs: two emitters behind one lens. That is a packaging fact, not automatic superiority and not a defect. Advantage 900 and MEGA both use 300 LEDs. Count is a weak tie-breaker next to coverage, beam, and the spectrometer table.
Edge: BlockBlueLight for publishing dual-chip 5W as a line-wide spec. Red Light Rising is not docked for a missing chip diagram. Absence of a published layout is not a fabricated weakness.
Beam angle
Red Light Rising lists 30 degrees on Half Stack, Advantage 450, and Advantage 900. Full Stack beam is not published. A 30-degree optic holds intensity farther and covers less width. BlockBlueLight lists 60 degrees: wider close-range coverage, faster falloff. Door-hook torso work favours 60 degrees. A focused 15 to 20 cm session favours Advantage.
Edge: Red Light Rising for a published 30-degree beam on the panels that list it. BlockBlueLight for a wider 60-degree body of light that matches door-hook use. Neither beam is a defect. They are different session geometries.
Coverage and form factor
Not a size-clone fight. Advantage 900 is 91 x 30 cm. Full Stack is 120 x 22 cm. Advantage 450 is 45 x 30 cm. Half Stack is 50 x 22 cm. There is no 62-inch RLR SKU. Two Advantage 900s (£3,450) can make a UK wall, as two parcels.
BlockBlueLight has the wider ladder: Mini through XXL, including Elite XL at 62 x 16.5 inches (720 LEDs) and Ultimate XXL at about 71 x 24 inches (1,200 LEDs). That 62-inch chassis is the coverage row Red Light Rising cannot match with one panel.
Full Stack at 120 cm is taller than MEGA and still narrower. Elite XL at 62 inches is the first single panel in this dual that covers face to shin in one hang.
Edge: BlockBlueLight for Elite XL and XXL as single full-body chassis, and for having a Mini at $499.95. Red Light Rising for a 120 cm Full Stack in GBP and for modular Advantage linking if the buyer wants a UK wall rather than one 62-inch import.
Modes, controls, and pulse
Advantage lists six smart modes, a touchscreen, and a remote that set standing distance. Stacks use two switches for red and NIR. BlockBlueLight Generation 6 lists per-band dimming, four user presets, a touchscreen, ambient mode, and pulse from 1 to 10,000 Hz. No named condition presets. Pulse is the hardware Red Light Rising does not advertise on Advantage.
Both brands are modular. Advantage uses a patch cable. PowerPanels connect physically and electronically. Modular is even. Elite XL copy mentions Bluetooth presets. Both catalogs can run from the panel screen.
Edge: Red Light Rising Advantage for distance-setting smart modes. BlockBlueLight for pulse 1 to 10,000 Hz and per-wavelength dimming. Stack versus Mini is a simpler-controls fight, not a mode fight.
What is in the box
Red Light Rising ships a door/wall hanging kit. Advantage adds remote, patch cable, eye protection, and guide. Floor stand extra at £125. Do not treat a stand as included. BlockBlueLight ships cable, manual, remote, door hook, hanging cables, and goggles. Elite XL also lists a wall-mount bracket. Floor stands extra.
Both hang on a door out of the box. Both charge extra for a floor stand. £125 is the cheaper GBP add-on. $118.95 is the cheaper USD add-on. Elite XL HD stand adds $500.
Edge: Even on door hanging. BlockBlueLight if the buyer already wants the Elite XL stand bundle. Red Light Rising if a £125 floor stand in GBP is the add-on that matters.
User reviews: independent Trustpilot, 1 September 2026
Public reviews are scored from independent Trustpilot listings, not on-site star widgets. Trustpilot bot-checks blocked a raw HTML pull on 1 September 2026. Scores come from each brand’s public listing, corroborated the same day by search-index snapshots, and they match the prior BlockBlueLight snapshot of 4.5 from 1,137.
Red Light Rising
4.1 / 5
Themes include product quality and mixed delivery notes. Direct Trustpilot HTML was blocked, so this page does not invent quotations.
BlockBlueLight
4.5 / 5
That listing covers the wider catalog, not panels only. 4.5 from 1,137 still wins on score plus sample. On-site 4.9 product stars stay off the scoreboard.
267 reviews are enough to read tone. They are not enough to outrank 1,137 reviews at a higher TrustScore. The row follows the public numbers dated 1 September 2026.
Edge: BlockBlueLight. 4.5 from 1,137 versus 4.1 from 267, both independent Trustpilot, both dated 1 September 2026. Red Light Rising’s 267 reviews are a usable sample. They do not win the row.
Trial, returns, and warranty
Red Light Rising: limited-time 365-day return for individual customers on panels. Customer pays tracked return shipping except for verified faults. Original packaging required. One return per household. Commercial buyers get 60 days. Three-year panel warranty. Free UK and EU shipping.
BlockBlueLight: 30-day return, no restocking if complete and resalable, customer pays return shipping. Discount over 15 percent becomes exchange or store credit. Five-year warranty on body panels. Warehouses in North America, Europe, UK, Australia, and NZ. Outbound shipping about $10.
Trial length is not close. Warranty length is not close the other way. Inventing a restocking fee for Red Light Rising, or a 60-day BlockBlueLight panel trial, would be false.
The 365-day offer is limited-time and private-buyer only. Recheck the live returns page. Mini and Tabletop stay at one and three years on the BlockBlueLight spec table.
Edge: Red Light Rising on trial length (365 days for private buyers). BlockBlueLight on warranty (5 years on body panels) and on a simpler 30-day resaleable-return path with regional warehouses. Even on door hook in the box. Not even on the year versus the month.
FDA-registered, not cleared
Home panels here are general wellness devices. FDA registration is not clearance. BlockBlueLight describes panels as FDA-registered low-risk wellness products. That is registration language, not clearance. Red Light Rising is a UK brand and states the products are not a medical treatment. This page does not invent US FDA status for it. HSA/FSA via TrueMed is a BlockBlueLight US checkout note, not a clinical claim.
Edge: BlockBlueLight for a published FDA-registered description on the US catalog. Red Light Rising is not penalised with a fake unregistered smear. It is a UK company selling in GBP.

Advantage 900 is the RLR flagship and still not a 62-inch panel. Elite XL is the BlockBlueLight answer to one chassis, full height. Two Advantage 900s can compete on total diodes for a UK buyer who wants the 365-day trial. They do not undercut Elite XL on a single-panel install, and they still lack 1060 nm.

RLT Home live stickers, 1 September 2026
RLT Home is not a third winner here. The verdict
Trophy for most buyers
BlockBlueLight
For most readers this dual is BlockBlueLight: 4.5 from 1,137 on Trustpilot, a 5-year body-panel warranty, live 1060 nm on Generation 6 including Elite XL, dual-disclose spectrometer figures at six inches, 5W dual-chip, pulse 1 to 10,000 Hz, and a genuine Mini-to-XXL ladder. MEGA at $1,499.95 and Elite XL at $3,499.95 without stand are the panels that make that case without leaning on solar-meter 167 or 189.
Runner-up niche
Red Light Rising
For UK and EU private buyers the dual flips. A 365-day trial, GBP checkout, free UK/EU shipping, a 30-degree Advantage beam, and a published 630/660/810/830/850 map are not small differences. Half Stack £599 and Advantage 900 £1,725 are live UK numbers. The 3-year warranty and 4.1 from 267 on Trustpilot are the trade. That is a niche, not a loss on vibes.
Dual trophy, two buyers. BlockBlueLight is the default for a global shopper. Red Light Rising is the default for a UK private buyer who will use the year. RLT Home stays in the funnel, not on the podium.

Compare Red Light Rising and BlockBlueLight against the rest of the 2026 field
Warranty versus trial is the fork on this page. Spectrum density, 1064/1060 nm, and stand-included totals still need the 16-brand table if either catalog feels incomplete.

Does BlockBlueLight Elite XL include 1060 nm?
Live Elite XL copy on 1 September 2026 lists 590, 630, 650/660, 810, 830, 850, and 1060 nm. An older paragraph on the same page still describes 630, 660, 810, 830, and 850. This article awards the 1060 nm row to BlockBlueLight on the current Generation 6 list and notes the leftover five-band sentence so readers can read both blocks.
Does Red Light Rising have 1060 nm or FDA clearance?
No 1060 nm, and no 480 nm blue, on live Advantage or Stack panels. Five bands on Advantage (630, 660, 810, 830, 850). Four on Stack (no 830). Red Light Rising is a UK brand. This page does not invent US FDA clearance or registration for it.
Can the solar-meter numbers be compared to Hopoo?
No. BlockBlueLight MAX 162, MEGA 167, and Elite XL 189 are solar-meter headlines at 6 inches. Red Light Rising 57 and 86.4 are Hopoo spectrometer averages at 15 cm. Spectrometer compares with spectrometer. LTI peak 106 (Advantage 900) compares with LTI peak 105 (MEGA). Mixing solar 162 with Hopoo 86.4 is the error this heading exists to stop.
Is dual-chip a problem on BlockBlueLight?
No. Dual-chip 5W is a published hardware fact. It is not treated as a smear and it is not treated as automatic superiority. Irradiance stays on spectrometer figures.
Which Trustpilot listing wins?
BlockBlueLight, 4.5 / 5 from 1,137 reviews (www.blockbluelight.co.uk) versus Red Light Rising 4.1 / 5 from 267 reviews (redlightrising.co.uk), both checked 1 September 2026. Award is score plus sample. On-site product stars are ignored.
Is the floor stand included?
No on both sides for a proper floor stand. Red Light Rising includes a door/wall hanging kit. Floor stand £125 extra. BlockBlueLight includes an over-the-door hook and hanging cables. Base stands $118.95 or $131.95 extra. Elite XL and XXL stands are variant upcharges.
