Trustpilot at write time

Public reviews are a ranking criterion on this page. Scores come from independent Trustpilot listings pulled 3 November 2026. Manufacturer on-site star widgets are a different dataset and are not mixed in.

Mychondria

4.6 / 5

51 reviews on trustpilot.com/review/mychondria.com (Mychondria), pulled 3 November 2026.

A strong score on a modest sample.

Rouge

4.2 / 5

24 reviews on trustpilot.com/review/rougecare.ca (Rouge Care), pulled 3 November 2026.

A lower score on a thin sample.

Wavelengths and density

Mychondria MyLight 2.0 panels use 630 and 660 nm red plus 850 nm near infrared at a published 1:1:2 ratio, so half of each panel is 850 nm.

Rouge G4 panels list four reds (630, 650, 660, 670 nm) and four near infrared bands (810, 830, 850, 1060 nm) in dual-chip LEDs. Rouge does not publish the share per band. Density matters more than count, and only Mychondria publishes its split.

Edge: Mychondria on published share. Rouge on range.

Power and Irradiance: Spectrometer Readings

Mychondria publishes spectrometer readings taken with a named instrument, a HOPOO HPCS-330Pro, at the centre of the panel at 100% output and 6 inches: MIDI 2.0 89.0, MAX 2.0 72.0 and PRO 2.0 66.0 mW/cm². These are brand-published, not independent. Mychondria’s solar-meter figures are not used.

Light Therapy Insiders (LTI) measured a Rouge Pro panel with a spectrometer at about 65 mW/cm² peak and a 59.2 average at 6 inches. No spectrometer reading for the new G5 line was found. Solar-meter numbers are not used.

Rouge’s figure is independent and includes an average; Mychondria’s is its own centre-of-panel reading and has no average. The testers differ, so the two are not ranked against each other on power.

Edge: Rouge on independent data. Not ranked on power.

FDA, returns, and warranty

Mychondria pages say “FDA registered”. openFDA returned no Mychondria 510(k) on 3 November 2026. Not cleared.

Mychondria gives 60 calendar days from delivery to request a return, in original condition and packaging, and issues the return label at its own expense; third-party costs such as customs are non-refundable. Warranty: 10 years on manufacturing faults, 2 years on stands, cords and other wear parts (mychondria.com refund policy).

Rouge says its products are FDA-registered general wellness products. openFDA returned no Rouge light-device 510(k) on 3 November 2026 (the only Rouge-named 510(k) is K892273 for latex gloves, a different company). Not cleared.

Rouge accepts returns on light panels within 60 days of purchase in like-new condition and original packaging, with no restocking fee on panels (stands carry 20%). The customer pays return shipping. Panels carry a 3-year warranty.

Edge: Mychondria on warranty and return shipping. Neither is FDA-cleared.
