Medical review: Articles on Red Light Therapy Top 10 are reviewed for scientific accuracy by our medical expert team. This page is wellness information, not a diagnosis or a treatment plan. Sessions with red or near-infrared light may help recovery-oriented or skin-oriented routines. They are not a treatment for disease.

Sun Home is a premium sauna brand first. The San Diego company (Fish and Fischer, LLC) sells infrared and traditional cabins, outdoor Luminar models, and cold plunges. Red light panels are a secondary hang-on-the-door accessory, not the core catalog. This pairing scores those accessory panels only: the Medical-Grade Full Body Red Light Panel (1800W Pro) and the Medical-Grade Desktop Red Light Panel (300W Pro). It does not score Eclipse, Pod, Luminar, Equinox, Solstice, Nova, or any cold plunge. It is also not a Sunlighten page. Sunlighten is a different sauna company with its own 660/850 accessory panels. RLT Home Total Spectrum MINI, COMPACT, MAX, ULTRA, and ELITE are dedicated seven-band home panels (480, 630, 660, 810, 830, 850, 1064 nm) with published LED share, six-inch spectrometer peaks, and a stand in every box.

Overall winner remains RLT Home. Sun Home is the runner-up for San Diego sauna buyers who want a matching 660/850 accessory hang panel (1800W Pro) rather than a dedicated panel brand.

USD prices below were pulled 1 September 2026 from sunhomesaunas.com/products.json (limit 250) plus the live 1800W Pro and 300W Pro product JSON, and from redlighttherapyhome.com/products.json. Sun Home hang-panel stickers are $1,499 for the Medical-Grade Full Body Red Light Panel (1800W Pro, SKU 1024RLT1800) and $579 for the Medical-Grade Desktop Red Light Panel (300W Pro, SKU 1024RLT300). No compare-at was published on either variant. August 2026 pack prices of $1,499 and $579 are confirmed live, not stale. TOP10 is 6% off current RLT Home live prices only, rounded to the nearest dollar. No Sun Home coupon is used here.

At-a-glance verdict: RLT Home is the better fit for most buyers who want a dedicated home panel, a published seven-band mix, spectrometer figures at six inches, a stand already in the price, and a 60-day trial with free returns. Sun Home is the runner-up if you already shop their sauna floor and want a 660/850 hang panel with a door hook and pulley, a ~16-inch-wide face, and a digital red / NIR / both control. Do not review the sauna as if it were the panel.

Not Sunlighten Different company. Orange droplet wordmark. Not the lotus wordmark. Not a sauna brand
Wavelengths (density, not count) 2 bands. 1800W Pro: 180 x 660 nm + 180 x 850 nm (50/50). No 480, 630, 810, 830, or 1064 published. 7 bands with published LED share: 480 (6%), 630 (19%), 660 (19%), 810 (19%), 830 (14%), 850 (9%), 1064 (14%)
Independent irradiance (spectrometer) Not published. Do not treat brand 140 mW/cm² as a spectrometer figure. Spectrometer peaks at 6 inches across the line (98.7 to 121.62 mW/cm²)
Brand-stated irradiance (unnamed instrument) 140 mW/cm². Distance not stated on live manufacturer copy. Method not named. Separate row. Not ranked against spectrometer peaks. No 6-inch figure is invented here. Solar-meter figures also exist (about 170 to 179 mW/cm² at 8 in). Not mixed with Sun Home’s 140 or with spectrometer peaks.
LED construction 360 x 5W dual-chip on the 1800W Pro (catalog fact, not a smear). 60 x 5W on the 300W Pro. Dual-chip splits each package across 660 and 850. Single-chip 5W on RLT Home Total Spectrum MINI, COMPACT, MAX, and ELITE. ULTRA listed as 3535 Dual LED. Dual-chip is a construction fact, not a smear.
Beam 60 degrees (catalog). Confirmed on reseller spec copy matching the August 2026 pack. Live manufacturer PDP does not reprint a spec table as of 1 Sep 2026. 30 degrees on the standard line. RLT Home Total Spectrum ULTRA listed as multi-beam 15 / 30 / 60

Light-therapy accessories: 30 days, new condition, original unopened packaging; refunds within 21 days of receipt. Live help-center return policy, 1 Sep 2026. 60 days, no restocking, free insured return shipping
Warranty 1 year on red light therapy devices and infrared blankets (all components). Lifetime / 3-year / 7-year terms apply to saunas, not to this panel. Do not flatten. 3 years on panels, 1 year on stands
Stand No floor stand in the panel price. Door hook + pulley for hanging. Catalog fact. Included. Non-electric on MINI, COMPACT, MAX. Motorized on ULTRA and ELITE.
Eye protection Not published on the live manufacturer panel pages. Not invented here. A third-party reseller lists glasses as a bonus; that is not manufacturer PDP copy. Two types in the box: reading glasses plus blackout goggles
App / privacy No companion app on the hang panel. Digital control for red, near-infrared, or both, with a built-in timer. No app, no internet, no account. Nine named modes plus a free personalised weekly plan by email.
Live USD, tabletop 300W Pro $579. No compare-at. No stand. RLT Home Total Spectrum MINI $495 (compare-at $695); $465 with TOP10. Non-electric stand included.
Live USD, hang / mid panel 1800W Pro $1,499. About 35.8 x 16.2 in. Door hook + pulley included. No floor stand. RLT Home Total Spectrum COMPACT $995 ($935 TOP10). MAX $1,595 ($1,499 TOP10). Stands included.
Live USD, full-body No 64-inch panel in the live catalog. 35.8 in is the large hang SKU. RLT Home Total Spectrum ULTRA $2,595 ($2,439 TOP10). ELITE $4,495 ($4,225 TOP10). Electric stand included.
User reviews (Trustpilot, 1 Sep 2026) Listing exists at trustpilot.com/review/sunhomesaunas.com. Public index on 1 Sep 2026 showed 2 reviews. Thin, company-wide, sauna-heavy. Score not independently loaded (Trustpilot bot-walled). On-site Stamped / schema stars (about 4.9 from 7 panel reviews, 4.86 schema) are not this row. 4.6 / 5 from 243 reviews (trustpilot.com/review/redlighttherapyhome.com, UK listing). Direct HTML bot-walled today; figure matches same-day Wave 3 pulls.
FDA wording Live 1800W and 300W pages still say “FDA-cleared”. Misleading for the panel. Only the separate Radiant MASK is marketed as 510(k) cleared. openFDA returned no Sun Home applicant 510(k). No panel K-number is invented here. “Medical-Grade” in the product name is marketing, not clearance. FDA-registered, not cleared. Registration is a listing.
HSA / FSA TrueMed still live on the panel PDP (Pay Monthly / HSA/FSA tab). Their program, not ours. TrueMed listed. Their program, not a Top 10 discount.

The brands at a glance

Sun Home

Premium sauna company, 660/850 hang panel, door hook

Sun Home Medical-Grade Full Body Red Light Panel 1800W Pro hang panel
Sun Home Medical-Grade Full Body Red Light Panel (1800W Pro). Live catalog price $1,499 on 1 September 2026. Door hook and pulley, no floor stand in the sticker.

Sun Home Saunas was founded in 2021 in San Diego. The public catalog is saunas and plunges. The hang panel exists so a sauna buyer can add 660 nm / 850 nm on a door without buying a second brand. Catalog construction on the 1800W Pro is 360 x 5W dual-chip LEDs (180 red, 180 near-infrared), eight internal fans, a 60-degree beam, and a 91 x 41.2 x 6.5 cm chassis (about 35.8 x 16.2 x 2.6 in). The 300W Pro is the desktop sibling at 60 LEDs and 38 x 23.5 x 6.5 cm. Digital control switches red, near-infrared, or both and includes a timer. There is no companion app on these two SKUs.

The same storefront also sells the Radiant Face Mask ($399), a Luminar red-light add-on ($1,699), and whole cabins with factory-integrated towers (Eclipse, Pod). Those SKUs are not scored here. The mask is a wearable. Live panel copy still says FDA-cleared. That wording is misleading for the rectangular panel; only the mask is marketed as 510(k) cleared. HSA/FSA is offered at Sun Home checkout via TrueMed, which is their program, not ours. The live header currently advertises free shipping on all orders and “save up to $1,500 with free shipping.”

RLT Home

Published density, seven bands, usage plan

RLT Home Total Spectrum ELITE 864 LED flagship red light therapy panel
RLT Home Total Spectrum ELITE, the 65 x 20.5-inch, 864-LED flagship in a single chassis. Live price $4,495, $4,225 with TOP10. Electric stand included.

RLT Home’s line is RLT Home Total Spectrum MINI, COMPACT, MAX, ULTRA, and ELITE. The brand publishes LED percentage for seven wavelengths, including 480 nm blue at 6% and 1064 nm at 14%. Nine prebuilt modes were built from the Vladimir Heiskanen photobiomodulation database. After purchase, the science team writes a free personalised weekly usage plan.

Devices stay offline. Spectrometer peaks are published at six inches for every model. Stands ship in the box, motorized electric on RLT Home Total Spectrum ULTRA and ELITE. Trial: 60 days, no restocking fee, free insured return shipping. Warranty: 3 years on panels. Home panels are FDA-registered, not cleared. HSA/FSA via TrueMed is also listed on RLT Home, labeled as theirs.

Spectrum and wavelength density: two concentrated bands versus seven published shares

Sun Home lists two wavelengths. RLT Home lists seven. Count is not the story. Density is: the share of LEDs, and therefore output, in each band. Sun Home’s 50/50 split on the 1800W Pro (180 x 660 nm + 180 x 850 nm) is a real density choice. Every dual-chip package sits in the two most commonly marketed home-panel bands. That is not a smear. It is a concentrated two-band array. The 300W Pro publishes the same 660/850 idea at 60 LEDs (30 red + 30 NIR). Desktop allocation beyond that 50/50 split is not published by the brand.

RLT Home’s density story is a different shape. 660 nm is 19% of the array. 850 nm is 9%. Combined, those two bands are 28% of the diodes. The rest of the array is 480, 630, 810, 830, and 1064 nm, with published percentages. Buyers who want almost all of the panel in 660 and 850 will prefer Sun Home’s split. Buyers who want 810 nm, 830 nm, 1064 nm, 630 nm, or 480 nm will not find those bands on either Sun Home hang panel.

Sun Home: 660 nm and 850 nm, 50/50

Wavelength 1800W Pro 300W Pro
480 nm (blue)Not usedNot used
630 nm (red)Not usedNot used
660 nm (red)180 LEDs (50%)30 LEDs (50%)

830 nm (near infrared)Not listedNot listed
850 nm (near infrared)180 LEDs (50%)30 LEDs (50%)
1064 nm (deep infrared)Not usedNot used

Sessions with 660 nm may help surface-oriented routines. Sessions with 850 nm may help recovery-oriented routines. Independent red / NIR switching is available on the digital control. That control is real. It does not add 810 nm or 1064 nm.

RLT Home: seven bands, published percentages

RLT Home Total Spectrum MINI, COMPACT, MAX, and ELITE share this mix (ULTRA is a close variant with a slightly different 480 nm share):

Wavelength Density Role
480 nm (blue)6%Surface, skin-targeting, acne-oriented sessions
630 nm (red)19%Surface skin, collagen
660 nm (red)19%Surface skin, collagen, hair
810 nm (near infrared)19%Muscle, joint, brain
830 nm (near infrared)14%Muscle, joint, brain
850 nm (near infrared)9%Recovery, fat metabolism
1064 nm (deep infrared)14%Joints, deep tissue, brain

Sessions with 810 nm or 1064 nm may help people who specifically want those deeper bands. Sessions with 480 nm may help people who want a small blue share for surface-oriented routines. Neither claim is a diagnosis.

Edge: Sun Home on concentrated 660/850 density. RLT Home on published seven-band share, including 810, 830, and 1064 nm.

Power and Irradiance: Measured by Independent Third Parties

Spectrometer figures belong with spectrometer figures. Brand-stated 140 mW/cm² with an unnamed instrument, an unstated method, and no distance on the live manufacturer page is not comparable to a third-party spectrometer peak. This page keeps those numbers on separate rows. It does not invent a 6-inch Sun Home figure. It does not rank Sun Home as “weak” for publishing 140 mW/cm², and it does not rank RLT Home as “weak” for using a different instrument. Peak is compared with peak. Average with average. Solar-meter readings are not mixed with spectrometer readings.

Spectrometer (independent, named method on RLT Home)

Model Spectrometer peak at 6 inches
Sun Home 1800W ProNot published
Sun Home 300W ProNot published
RLT Home Total Spectrum MINI98.7 mW/cm²
RLT Home Total Spectrum COMPACT99.0 mW/cm²
RLT Home Total Spectrum MAX100.53 mW/cm²
RLT Home Total Spectrum ULTRA119.28 mW/cm²
RLT Home Total Spectrum ELITE121.62 mW/cm²

RLT Home publishes these peaks on its third-party testing page. Sun Home does not publish a spectrometer trace, an instrument name, or a lab report for the hang panel on the pages pulled 1 September 2026. Unpublished is unpublished. That gap is why the spectrometer row is not a mixed-instrument shootout.

Brand-stated 140 mW/cm² (distance unstated, method unnamed)

Claim What is actually published
Sun Home 140 mW/cm²Catalog and reseller spec copy. Distance not stated. Instrument not named. Method not named. Live manufacturer 1800W PDP on 1 Sep 2026 leads with price and FDA-cleared marketing and does not reprint this number in the HTML we pulled.
A 6-inch conversionNot published. Not invented here.
Sun Home EMF 0.0 uT at 10 cmBrand claim, unnamed method. Kept on its own row. Not mixed with RLT Home’s Cornet reading at 6 inches.
RLT Home solar meterAbout 170 to 179 mW/cm² at 8 inches. Separate bucket from both the 140 claim and the spectrometer peaks.

Those four facts can sit next to each other without being ranked as a win. A 140 mW/cm² sticker with no distance is not “higher power” than a 100.53 mW/cm² spectrometer peak at six inches. Different instruments. Different reporting rules.

Edge: No irradiance winner across instruments. RLT Home wins the spectrometer-documentation row because the peaks exist. Sun Home’s 140 mW/cm² claim is disclosed in catalog copy, not hidden, and is not ranked as weak for honesty. Distance remains unstated.

LED construction: dual-chip 360 x 5W as a catalog fact

Sun Home’s 1800W Pro is listed as 360 x 5W dual-chip LEDs with eight internal fans. That is a catalog fact. Dual-chip is not a smear. Each package splits power across 660 nm and 850 nm, which can spread both bands across the face of a hang panel. Wavelength density still beats a raw LED count: 360 dual-chip diodes in two bands is a different map from 360 single-chip diodes across seven bands on RLT Home Total Spectrum MAX. The 300W Pro is 60 x 5W in the same two-band idea.

RLT Home Total Spectrum MINI, COMPACT, MAX, and ELITE use single-chip 5W LEDs. RLT Home Total Spectrum ULTRA is listed as 3535 Dual LED. Single-chip puts one wavelength on one die, which keeps a cleaner peak and puts that die’s power into one band. Dual-chip splits one package across two wavelengths, which can spread surface coverage. Neither construction is described here as a defect. Construction is not output.

Edge: No construction winner. Sun Home for a published dual-chip 360 x 5W hang array. RLT Home for single-chip 5W on four of five Total Spectrum sizes, with ULTRA as the dual-LED exception.

Beam angle: 60 degrees versus a 30-degree line

Sun Home catalog copy lists a 60-degree beam. A wider 60-degree lens may help fill a door-width hang at the cost of peak intensity on axis. RLT Home’s standard line is 30 degrees. RLT Home Total Spectrum ULTRA is listed as multi-beam 15 / 30 / 60. A tighter 30-degree lens may help keep more energy on the body. This page does not invent a measured beam plot for either brand beyond what they publish. The live manufacturer 1800W PDP did not reprint the 60-degree line in HTML on 1 September 2026; the figure remains a catalog fact from spec copy that still matches the August 2026 pack.

Edge: Sun Home for a published 60-degree hang-panel beam. RLT Home for a consistent 30-degree line, with ULTRA as the multi-beam exception.

Coverage and like-for-like size

Sun Home sells two rectangular panels. There is no 49-inch or 64-inch SKU in the live catalog. A 35.8-inch hang panel is not a full-body lie-under chassis. It can cover torso height for a standing or seated adult when hung on a door. It cannot clone RLT Home Total Spectrum ULTRA at 64.3 inches or RLT Home Total Spectrum ELITE at 65 x 20.5 inches. That is a catalog fact, not an invented weakness. The 1800W Pro is meaningfully wider than RLT Home’s 11.8-inch faces (about 16.2 in). Width is a genuine hang-panel plus if you want more body width on a door. Height is not a 49-inch or 64-inch plus.

Edge: RLT Home on every height that exists in both catalogs, and on the heights Sun Home does not sell. Sun Home on a wider ~16.2 in door-hang face if that is the exact object you want, and on the 50/50 660/850 hang if you already own their sauna.

Modes, digital control, and the usage plan

Sun Home’s hang panel uses a digital control for red, near-infrared, or both, with a built-in timer. That three-way switch is real and simple. There is no companion app and no account on these two SKUs. RLT Home also stays offline. Nine named modes (Skin and Anti-Aging, Pain and Inflammation, Sleep, Fat Burn and Weight Loss, Mental Health and Brain, Hair Growth, Acne, Wound Healing, Full Power) plus a custom channel mode live on the panel. After checkout, the science team emails a free personalised weekly plan. No account, no cloud log of your sessions.

Edge: RLT Home for named on-device modes plus a human-written weekly plan. Sun Home for a simple red / NIR / both timer if you do not want nine presets. Both stay offline on the hardware scored here.

In the box, stands, and goggles

Sun Home 1800W Pro catalog kit: panel, door hook, and pulley. No floor stand is published in the panel price. Goggles are not published on the live manufacturer 1800W or 300W pages pulled 1 September 2026. This page does not invent included goggles. A third-party reseller lists eye-protection glasses as a bonus gift. That is not manufacturer PDP copy, so it is not treated as confirmed kit. Eight internal fans are a catalog cooling fact, not a stand.

RLT Home includes a stand in every Total Spectrum price: non-electric on RLT Home Total Spectrum MINI, COMPACT, and MAX, motorized on RLT Home Total Spectrum ULTRA and ELITE. Two types of eye protection ship in the box. Shipping is free and insured on the live catalog.

Edge: RLT Home on stand-plus-goggles already in the sticker. Sun Home on a door-hook hang if you specifically want to put 660/850 on a door and do not want a floor stand in the room.

User reviews (independent Trustpilot, 1 September 2026)

This row uses public Trustpilot listings only. Manufacturer on-site stars, Stamped widgets, and schema aggregateRating values are not mixed in. Scores, counts, and the date are named. Award is score plus sample size, not vibes. RLT Home does not automatically win this row in other pairings. Here the Sun Home listing is thin.

Sun Home

Thin listing

trustpilot.com/review/sunhomesaunas.com exists. Public index on 1 September 2026 showed 2 reviews. Direct Trustpilot HTML was bot-walled, so this page does not invent a star average. Peak Saunas’ August 2026 read also called the listing low volume and mixed.

Company-wide sample. Two reviews cannot represent the hang panel. The mix is sauna-heavy, the same way a company-wide sauna listing is sauna-heavy. On-site Stamped copy around 4.9 from 7 panel reviews and schema 4.86 from 7 are not this row.

RLT Home

4.6 / 5

243 reviews on trustpilot.com/review/redlighttherapyhome.com (UK listing). Pulled 1 September 2026. Direct HTML was bot-walled today; the 4.6 / 243 figure matches same-day Wave 3 comparison pulls on this site.

Panel-brand listing. Larger independent sample than Sun Home’s two-review page.

On score plus sample size, RLT Home takes the Trustpilot row: 4.6 from 243 versus a two-review, score-unpublished company page. That award is mathematical. It is not a vibe about saunas. If Sun Home later grows a large independent panel sample, this row can move. This page will not invent that sample, and it will not substitute shop stars to fill the gap.

Edge: RLT Home on the public Trustpilot listing as it actually exists today. Sun Home’s listing is named as thin and sauna-mixed, not as a hidden 5-star panel score.

Trial, warranty, and changing your mind

Sun Home keeps a split. It is not one number. Live help-center return policy (1 September 2026): saunas and cold plunges may be returned within 30 days of delivery if unused, unassembled, and in the original unopened crate, with a 25% restocking fee plus roundtrip freight. Small wellness accessories, which the same page says includes red light therapy panels, blankets, and masks, may be returned within 30 days if they are in new condition and in the original unopened packaging. Refunds on approved accessory returns are issued within 21 days of Sun Home receiving the item. The Luminar red-light add-on is carved out of that accessory rule. Accessory restocking is not stated as 25% on that accessory section, so this page does not invent a panel restocking percentage.

Warranty is also a split. Live warranty page: “a complete 1-year warranty on all components of the Infrared Sauna Blankets and Red Light Therapy devices.” Lifetime cabinetry, 3-year controls, and 7-year Equinox/Solstice terms apply to saunas, not to the hang panel. Do not flatten a 1-year panel into a lifetime sauna promise. Extended warranties are offered for purchase on the same page.

RLT Home live policy: 60-day returns from the day you receive the panel, no restocking fee, free insured return shipping. Warranty is 3 years on panels and 1 year on stands. The longer window and prepaid return shipping are the practical difference if you are still deciding after week five.

Edge: RLT Home on trial length, restocking, and return shipping. Warranty years favor RLT Home on the panel itself (3 vs 1). Sun Home’s sauna warranty is a different product and is not used to pad the panel.

FDA wording, the mask, and HSA/FSA

Live Sun Home 1800W and 300W product pages still open with “FDA-cleared” and put “Medical-Grade” in the product name. That panel wording is misleading. openFDA 510(k) search on 1 September 2026 returned no applicant match for “Sun Home” or “Sun Home Saunas.” This page does not invent a panel K-number. No rectangular home panel in this pairing is treated as 510(k) cleared. The separate Radiant MASK is marketed on its own product page as an FDA-cleared wearable. This page does not invent a mask K-number either, and it does not treat the mask as the panel. “Medical-Grade” is a marketing string in the Shopify title, not a clearance.

Home panels for RLT Home are FDA-registered, not cleared. Registration is a listing. It is not clearance, and it is not approval. No rectangular home panel in this pairing is described as treating disease.

HSA/FSA: Sun Home still lists HSA/FSA at checkout via a TrueMed tab on the live 1800W and 300W pages. That is their checkout path. RLT Home also lists TrueMed. Neither program is a Top 10 discount.

Pricing and TOP10

Live pull, 1 September 2026. RLT Home from redlighttherapyhome.com/products.json: MINI $495 (compare-at $695), TOP10 $465. COMPACT $995 ($1,295), TOP10 $935. MAX $1,595 ($1,995), TOP10 $1,499. ULTRA $2,595 ($2,995), TOP10 $2,439. ELITE $4,495 ($4,995), TOP10 $4,225. MINI, COMPACT, and MAX include a non-electric stand. ULTRA and ELITE include a motorized stand. Sun Home from sunhomesaunas.com product JSON: 1800W Pro $1,499 (SKU 1024RLT1800). 300W Pro $579 (SKU 1024RLT300). Radiant MASK $399 and Luminar add-on $1,699 are live but out of the score. No Sun Home coupon is invented here. TOP10 is 6% off current RLT Home live prices only, nearest dollar.

The 1800W Pro at $1,499 lands on the same TOP10 sticker as RLT Home Total Spectrum MAX ($1,499 with TOP10, $1,595 list) but the MAX is 49.2 inches with a stand and seven bands. The 300W Pro at $579 sits above RLT Home Total Spectrum MINI at $495 with a stand included ($465 with TOP10). Width is the Sun Home hang-panel plus. Height, spectrum, spectrometer paperwork, and the stand are the RLT Home plus. Eclipse and Pod cabins at $10,599 and $6,699 are saunas, not panel clones, and they stay out of this math.

Who Sun Home is for

Choose Sun Home if you already own, or plan to own, a Sun Home sauna or plunge and want a matching 660/850 hang panel that uses a door hook and pulley. Choose it if a ~16.2-inch-wide, 35.8-inch-tall dual-chip array at $1,499 is the object you opened this page to buy. Choose it if 50/50 660/850 is the density you want, not a compromise. The 300W Pro at $579 is the targeted desktop SKU. The 1800W Pro is the large hang SKU. Budget for hanging, not for a floor stand that is not in the box. Goggles are unpublished on the manufacturer panel pages. Use the panel as a hang accessory, not as a substitute for the cabin. That last point is the catalog: Sun Home is a sauna company first.

Who RLT Home is for

Choose RLT Home if you want a dedicated panel brand, a published seven-band mix, and a named six-inch spectrometer peak. RLT Home Total Spectrum MINI undercuts the 300W Pro on sticker and includes a stand. RLT Home Total Spectrum COMPACT and MAX cover heights Sun Home does not sell in one chassis. RLT Home Total Spectrum ULTRA and ELITE are lie-under full-body panels with motorized stands. Sessions with 480 nm or 1064 nm may help people who specifically want those bands. The nine named modes and the personalised weekly plan may help people who do not want an account on their phone. The 60-day trial with free insured returns is the lower-risk unbox.

Verdict

Overall winner

🏆 Winner: RLT Home

For most buyers. Seven-band mix with published LED share, spectrometer peaks at six inches, in-stock coverage from 11.8 inches through 65 inches, a stand in every box, nine named modes plus a personalised weekly plan, and a 60-day trial with free insured returns. Public Trustpilot 4.6 / 5 from 243 panel-brand reviews as of 1 September 2026.

Runner-up

🥈 Runner Up: Sun Home

Genuine niche: San Diego sauna buyers who want a matching 660/850 accessory hang panel (1800W Pro) with a door hook, a pulley, a ~16.2-inch-wide face, and a simple red / NIR / both timer. Thin Trustpilot (2 reviews, company-wide) is named, not padded with shop stars. Not the pick if you need 810 nm, 1064 nm, a 49-inch or 64-inch chassis, a spectrometer report, or a 3-year panel warranty.

Overall winner remains RLT Home. Sun Home is the honest sauna-adjacent 660/850 hang specialist in this pairing, not a seven-band rival, not a 64-inch clone, and not Sunlighten. If the door hook, the 50/50 split, and staying inside the Sun Home sauna catalog are the brief, the 1800W Pro is the Sun Home panel to buy. If coverage, spectrum density, spectrometer paperwork, and live price with a stand included are the brief, start with RLT Home Total Spectrum COMPACT, MAX, or ULTRA and use code TOP10 on RLT Home only.

FAQ

Does Sun Home or RLT Home win overall in 2026?

RLT Home wins overall for most buyers: seven-band density, named six-inch spectrometer peaks, in-stock full-body coverage, a stand in the box, and a 60-day trial with free returns. Sun Home is the runner-up for San Diego sauna buyers who want a matching 660/850 hang panel with a door hook and pulley.

Is Sun Home the same company as Sunlighten?

No. Sun Home Saunas is a San Diego premium sauna and cold-plunge brand founded in 2021. Sunlighten is a different infrared-sauna company with its own 660/850 accessory panels. This page does not reuse Sunlighten copy, logos, or scores. The orange droplet wordmark is Sun Home. The lotus wordmark is not.

Is Sun Home a sauna or a red light panel brand?

Primarily a premium sauna brand that also sells red light panels. This page scores the 1800W Pro hang panel and the 300W Pro desktop only. It does not score Eclipse, Pod, Luminar, Equinox, Solstice, Nova, or cold plunges. The panel is not a sauna.

Is two wavelengths worse than seven?

Not automatically. Density matters more than count. Sun Home puts 50% of the 1800W Pro at 660 nm and 50% at 850 nm. That is a concentrated two-band design. RLT Home publishes 660 nm at 19% and 850 nm at 9%, with the rest in 480, 630, 810, 830, and 1064 nm. Pick the density map, not the bigger integer.

Can I compare 140 mW/cm² with RLT Home’s spectrometer peaks?

No. Sun Home’s 140 mW/cm² does not name the instrument or the distance. This page does not invent a 6-inch figure. RLT Home’s 98.7 to 121.62 mW/cm² figures are spectrometer peaks at 6 inches. Different instruments. This page keeps them on separate rows and does not crown an irradiance winner across methods.

Is dual-chip a problem on the 1800W Pro?

No. Dual-chip 360 x 5W is a catalog fact. It splits each package across 660 nm and 850 nm, which can help even surface spread on a hang panel. RLT Home uses single-chip 5W LEDs on MINI, COMPACT, MAX, and ELITE so each diode’s power goes to one peak. That is a design difference, not a hidden defect.

What do the Trustpilot scores actually say?

As of 1 September 2026, Sun Home has a Trustpilot listing at trustpilot.com/review/sunhomesaunas.com with 2 reviews in the public index (thin, company-wide, sauna-heavy). This page does not invent a star average. RLT Home is 4.6 / 5 from 243 reviews on trustpilot.com/review/redlighttherapyhome.com. RLT Home wins the row on sample size. On-site shop widgets are not used.

Is the Sun Home panel FDA-cleared?

Live copy still says the panel is FDA-cleared. That is misleading. Only the separate Radiant MASK is marketed as 510(k) cleared. openFDA showed no Sun Home applicant 510(k). This page does not invent a panel K-number. “Medical-Grade” in the product name is marketing. RLT Home home panels are FDA-registered, not cleared. Registration is a listing.

Does the 1-year panel warranty also cover the sauna for 1 year?

No. Keep the split. Red light therapy devices and infrared blankets: 1 year on all components. Saunas keep their own lifetime / 3-year / 7-year terms by model, with 90-day labor and shipping on current infrared cabins. Flattening those into one number would be inaccurate.

Is there a discount code?

TOP10 is 6% off current RLT Home live prices only, rounded to the nearest dollar. There is no Sun Home code in this article. RLT Home Total Spectrum MINI $465, COMPACT $935, MAX $1,499, ULTRA $2,439, ELITE $4,225 with TOP10.

Are goggles included?

Sun Home does not publish goggles on the live 1800W or 300W manufacturer pages. This page does not invent them. RLT Home includes two types: reading glasses and blackout goggles.

Which sizes actually map?

300W Pro versus RLT Home Total Spectrum MINI is the tabletop pairing. The 1800W Pro at about 35.8 x 16.2 in sits between RLT Home Total Spectrum COMPACT (30.3 in) and MAX (49.2 in) on height, and is wider than both. There is no Sun Home map for RLT Home Total Spectrum ULTRA or ELITE. The full Sun Home catalog, sizes, and pricing notes sit in the Sun Home red light therapy review.

If the sauna-brand angle is what brought you here, Sunlighten vs RLT Home scores the other infrared-sauna maker’s panels against the same Total Spectrum ladder, and Rouge vs RLT Home does the same for a 660/850/1060 full-body line. Conclusion

Sun Home and RLT Home are solving different jobs. Sun Home wins a genuine sauna-adjacent hang-panel niche: 50/50 660/850, dual-chip 360 x 5W as a catalog fact, a ~16.2-inch-wide door hook kit, and a $1,499 sticker that matches RLT Home Total Spectrum MAX after TOP10 only if you ignore height, spectrum, the stand, and spectrometer paperwork. RLT Home wins seven-band density including 480 nm, 810 nm, and 1064 nm, six-inch spectrometer peaks, nine modes plus a personalised plan, in-stock 30-inch through 65-inch panels with stands, a three-year panel warranty, free insured returns, and the Trustpilot row (4.6 / 243 versus a two-review company listing). With TOP10, RLT Home Total Spectrum MINI is $465, RLT Home Total Spectrum COMPACT $935, RLT Home Total Spectrum MAX $1,499, RLT Home Total Spectrum ULTRA $2,439, and RLT Home Total Spectrum ELITE $4,225. The data favors RLT Home for most buyers, with Sun Home the runner-up for San Diego sauna buyers who want that matching hang panel. Sessions may help recovery-oriented and general wellness routines. They are not a treatment for disease.

Speak with a qualified healthcare professional before starting any new therapy, particularly if you have cancer, are pregnant, or are managing a serious health condition. Home red light panels sold in the United States may be FDA-registered. That is a listing, not FDA clearance. RLT Home is FDA-registered. Sun Home still markets the hang panel as FDA-cleared; that copy is labeled misleading here. Only the separate Radiant MASK is marketed as 510(k) cleared. Neither brand is presented here as treating disease. Sessions may help recovery-oriented and general wellness routines.

Prices, catalog details, and FDA wording pulled 1 September 2026 from sunhomesaunas.com/products.json, 1800W and 300W product JSON, the live warranty and return-policy pages, redlighttherapyhome.com/products.json, and openFDA 510(k) search. Trustpilot HTML was bot-walled; Sun Home’s listing is named as thin (2 reviews in the public index) and RLT Home’s 4.6 / 243 matches same-day Wave 3 pulls. TOP10 applies to RLT Home only. Product photos are manufacturer CDN images. Hero lockup uses Sun Home and RLT Home manufacturer logos, not a single brand’s panel, and not a Sunlighten mark.
