EMR-Tek sells from emr-tek.com under EMR-TEK INC. The about page places the company in Canada, names founder Kris Sweeting, and dates the hardware project at eight years of building, which lines up with a ~2016 start. The 2026 panel lineup

Four families share one construction idea and four different jobs. Firewave is a compact 200W COB with a small LED ring. COB-first is unusual in a category of discrete 5W LEDs. Unusual is not automatically better. Inferno uses 30-degree cones, Firewave a 60-degree beam, and session copy starts at 12 to 24 inches rather than at the glass. Firewave Compact and Firestorm print 630, 670, and 830 nm. Rated wattage on these pages is a mix of module labels (200W COB, 1,400W Inferno) and actual-draw notes (Firewave 101W, Inferno 580W ±5%). Those are electrical marketing numbers, not spectrometer readings at the skin. Plan the circuit before treating an Inferno as a lamp for any bedroom outlet. This review does not convert watt labels into a power ranking.

EMR-Tek Firewave Compact and Firewave Pro

Firewave Compact is the entry panel: 200W COB, 12 surrounding LEDs, 236W listed, 101W actual draw, 60-degree beam, global 110/220V, four rubber feet, goggles, pulley kit. Wavelengths 630, 670, and 830 nm. Modes are LED, COB, or both. Start LED-only at 5 minutes, build to 20, add COB later, facial work on LED at 18 to 24 inches. Seated “full-body” copy is a 19.4 cm beam claim, not a 64-inch wall. It may help a shelf-size COB shopper. It will not cover a standing adult the way Inferno describes head-to-core coverage.

Flicker on Compact is 3.2%, independently tested, with Dr. Jack Kruse named on the Firewave page. EMF: measurable close in, below detectable at 12 inches. Firewave Pro keeps the 200W COB, widens to 28 x 3W diodes (284W), uses 350W-rated Meanwell drivers, claims 0% flicker, and adds linking. Live $419.99 versus Compact $312.49. The Pro page prints 630/660/830 in the header and 630/670/830 in the spec list. This review reports both lines as printed on 1 September 2026.

EMR-Tek Firedragon Original and Firedragon Pro

Firedragon is the six-wavelength square: one 288W COB, 504W total, 630, 660, 670, 810, 830, and 850 nm. It is the only core panel here that names 810 nm and 850 nm. Original and Pro are the same panel and stand; drivers are the difference. Original is independently measured at 3.2% flicker. Pro uses Meanwell and claims 0% flicker. Live $599.99 and $699.99.

The adjustable stand is the practical reason many shoppers land here. Plastic-coated stainless steel, angle for a knee or a shoulder or a back, removable for larger stand setups. Larger systems still prompt Choose Your Stand. Irradiance copy on Firedragon does not publish a unique 6-inch lab row for the 288W chip. It cites Light Labs International on the Inferno 200W COB (138.39 mW/cm2 at 6 inches, 67.22 at 12 inches) and says the Firedragon chip runs slightly above those figures. That is a brand interpolation, not a second named report. This page keeps it labeled that way.

EMR-Tek Firestorm and Firestorm Pro

Firestorm is five 200W COBs, 64 diodes each, 320 total, 1,060W, about 1.5 feet square, 7.5 kg, 630/670/830 nm. Minimum session distance is 24 inches. Combined 6-inch total is not published; per-module Light Labs figures are the Inferno 200W pair. Flicker 3.2% standard, 0% Pro. Live $999.99 and $1,199.99. Ten units left on the standard page on 1 September 2026.

Firestorm Pro (handle firestorm-pro) is the same five-module panel with Mean Well drivers, zero flicker, near-zero EMF, and CE copy. Do not treat the Pro price as a different optical size.

EMR-Tek Inferno and Inferno Pro

Inferno is the device the brand sent to the lab: 1,400W listed, 580W ±5% actual draw, five 200W COBs on a vertical midline plus 132 x 3W LEDs, 30-degree cones, 630, 660, and 830 nm. Light Labs International measured 138.39 mW/cm2 at 6 inches and 67.22 at 12 inches. Flicker 3.2% on Standard, 0% on Pro. Standing at 12 to 24 inches covers head to lower core, not the legs. Seated, the brand calls it full-body. Pegs and a pulley are included. The Inferno Floor Stand is optional for rolling or stacking.

Inferno Pro adds Meanwell drivers, 0% flicker, no detectable magnetic field at session distance, and linking ports. Standard Inferno does not link, which is why the Inferno Pro Tower Bundle uses two Pros plus the rolling stand at $2,499.99 (compare $3,359.97). Indoor only, not waterproof, 2-year warranty. The Electronic PREMIUM Stand ($1,199.99) must be ordered in the same cart; a later stand will not be compatible.

Around the panels: Firefly, Eterno, Krypton, bulbs

EMR-Tek is not only a panel shop. The live JSON also carries a battery Firefly, an Eterno LED mask, Light Fusion sheet masks, circadian bulbs, blue-blocking glasses, Krypton UV systems with Philips tubes, Firehawk, and Ultron. This review stays on the red/NIR panels so a buyer does not treat a mask protocol or a UV Risk Group 3 warning as an Inferno clearance.

Firefly, live $249.99, is a handheld 75W COB (25 x 3W diodes, 60-degree cone). Body copy names 630, 660, and 830 nm; some headers still say 660 plus 850 nm. Battery, USB-C bank, 1.5 hours per charge, 0% flicker by DC architecture, 1-year warranty, travel case and goggles, patent pending. The 75W chip is described as proportionally lower than the Light Labs 200W pair. No named 6-inch Firefly figure. Eterno Mask $274.99. Krypton UV systems exist in the JSON and carry IEC 62471 Risk Group 3 language on the tower bundle. They are not the Firewave, Firedragon, or Inferno decision.

Stands are included on Firedragon and paid on almost everything else

• Inferno Pro Tower Bundle: two Inferno Pros plus the rolling stand at $2,499.99.

A $1,199.99 Inferno that still needs a $599.99 floor stand is a $1,799.98 realistic rolling total before tax. Pegs and a door pulley are the included vertical path. Door hanging is not a rolling stand. Goggles are included with every panel according to live FAQ and box lists. That is a brighter accessory story than brands that sell eyewear separately. Spare glasses in the catalog are a different product family (blue-blockers) and prescription or custom glasses are non-returnable on the refund page.

Spectrum: three bands on most panels, six on Firedragon

Most of the red/NIR line publishes three named peaks. Firewave Compact and Firestorm: 630, 670, 830 nm. Inferno and Inferno Pro: 630, 660, 830 nm. Firedragon: 630, 660, 670, 810, 830, 850 nm. Firewave Pro currently prints both 660 nm and 670 nm depending on which block a reader hits. Wavelength allocation percentages are not published. Dual-chip versus single-chip language is not the story here. COB packages many dies on one substrate. That is packaging, not a per-band density table.

The FAQ still frames the brand’s wavelength choice as cytochrome c oxidase peaks at 630, 670, and 830 nm instead of the commodity 660/850 pair. Inferno’s live spec is 630, 660, and 830 nm. Firedragon adds 660, 810, and 850 nm to a 630/670/830 core. Those are catalog facts. They are not a density chart. A session with 630 plus 830 nm may help skin-appearance or recovery routines that already use those bands. It does not add 1064 nm deep infrared, the band people usually mean when they ask about arthritis and osteoarthritis.

LED construction: COB is a fact, not a smear

Chip-on-board means multiple LED dies bonded to one substrate instead of a grid of individually housed diodes. EMR-Tek’s about page and product pages treat that as the core hardware bet: concentrated output, fewer gaps, irradiance that holds at sitting distance. Firewave, Firedragon, Firestorm, Inferno, and Firefly all use COB. Inferno and Firewave Pro add an SMD fill array around the modules. Dual-chip or multi-die packaging is how a COB is built. It is not used here as an insult, and it is not spectrometer data.

What COB does not automatically mean: a published per-wavelength density table, a 6-inch average for every SKU, or a full-body standing field from a 19.4 cm Firewave. Inferno’s 30-degree cones are a separate optical choice from Firewave’s 60-degree beam. Firestorm’s five-module cluster is a third geometry, which is why the brand moves that SKU to 24 inches. Construction and distance travel together. Modular linking on Firewave Pro and Inferno Pro is a fourth choice: stack later, pay for a stand when two panels need wheels.

Power and Irradiance: Measured by Independent Third Parties

Compare peak to peak, or average to average. Do not mix a 0-inch panel-face number with a 6-inch lab reading. Method and distance travel with every figure. This review does not rank EMR-Tek on power against other brands. The named 6-inch lab row covers the 200W COB module, not a full spectrometer table for every SKU.

Named lab, 6 inches and 12 inches. Light Labs International measured the 200W COB used in Inferno at 138.39 mW/cm2 at 6 inches and 67.22 mW/cm2 at 12 inches. Firewave copy says its 200W COB is essentially identical. Firedragon says its 288W chip runs slightly above those figures. Firestorm cites the per-module pair with no combined 6-inch total. Firefly says 75W runs proportionally lower. Those extensions are not extra named reports.

0-inch panel face, still on the FAQ. The FAQ still says 1,400 mW/cm2 at panel face versus about 200 from standard SMD. That contact figure is not the Light Labs 6-inch number and is not comparable to any other brand’s 6-inch spectrometer peak or average.

Robert Hunt is named for on-camera spectrometer videos; the instrument model is not in the HTML. Flicker 3.2% is independently tested, with Dr. Jack Kruse named on Firewave. Older unnamed 200 mW/cm2 at 6 inches marketing is not used here. The live Inferno page on 1 September 2026 prints the Light Labs pair.

Takeaway: One named third-party module test exists (Light Labs International, 200W COB, 138.39 mW/cm2 at 6 inches, 67.22 at 12 inches). FAQ 1,400 mW/cm2 is 0 inches. Do not mix them. Do not rank the catalog on power against 6-inch spectrometer averages from other makers.

Modes, EMF, and flicker

Live controls are LED only, COB only, or both. No named preset therapy programs on Firewave, Firedragon, Firestorm, or Inferno in the 1 September 2026 HTML. LCD timers on Firedragon. Linking on Inferno Pro and Firewave Pro. Build from 5 minutes, up to five sessions per week. Indoor use. Do not use while sleeping. Devices may become hot.

Flicker: standard SKUs independently measured at 3.2%. Pro SKUs with Meanwell drivers claim 0%. Firefly claims 0% as DC battery. EMF: Pro copy says effectively zero and no detectable magnetic field. Standard copy says measurable close in, below detectable at 12 inches (Firestorm: 24 inches). The about page says no wall-plugged device fully eliminates an electric field. Brand claims. Not a third-party EMF table.

In the box: goggles required, stands mostly extra

Blackout goggles are included with every panel. The FAQ is not optional language: yes, every session, no exception, because 830 nm is invisible and still reaches the retina. Krypton UV adds the same rule for UVA and 311 nm UVB. Inferno and Firewave include a pulley hanging system. Firedragon includes the adjustable stand. Firefly includes a travel case. Global voltage converters (110/220V) are listed on the panel pages, with the correct power cord shipped for the destination. Indoor only. Not sauna-safe. Not waterproof.

What is not in the default Inferno or Firewave box: a rolling floor stand, a motorized stand, or a second set of goggles. What is not in any of these boxes: a written weekly usage plan from a science team, HSA/FSA checkout language (not published), or an FDA listing number.

Trial, warranty, and shipping: three return texts, two free-ship floors

Warranty, live FAQ on 1 September 2026: 3 years on flagship panels (Ultron, Firehawk). 2 years on Kryptons and standard red light panels. 1 year on the Eterno Mask and Firefly. Inferno, Firewave, Firedragon, and Firestorm sit in the 2-year bucket. Warranty is defects, separate from returns.

Returns currently print three different live texts. A buyer should read all three before treating any one sentence as the whole policy.

Those pages disagree on the one point shoppers actually care about: whether powering the panel on voids the return. FAQ and shipping policy say unused. The dedicated refund page says use it. Both the refund page and the shipping policy now state a 15% restocking fee. Older brand-pack notes that no restocking fee is stated are stale as of this pull. Shipping is split. Banners still print free shipping over $89.99, duty-free, 30-day returns, ships within 24 hours. The shipping policy and FAQ both say free over $145 USD, processing within 24 hours Monday to Friday, US/Canada 2 to 5 days, international 5 to 12, Europe warehouse in the FAQ. Duty-paid / DDP is claimed for USA, Australia, Canada, UK, and EU, with a restricted-country list. A live Firedragon review still described a China origin and a US duty bill. Duty-free is a brand claim with a reimbursement promise, not a guarantee that every carrier invoice is zero.

A note on FDA: not cleared, not registered

EMR-Tek is not FDA-cleared and is not FDA-registered. Live product safety blocks call the devices general wellness products, not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. The about page: EMR-TEK devices are general-wellness products, not medical devices. A 2024 cost-guide disclaimer on the brand blog says the products align with the FDA’s General Wellness: Policy on Low Risk Devices guidelines and do not require FDA clearance. CE appears on Firestorm and Pro copy. Philips tubes on Krypton are a bulb vendor story, not a 510(k) for Inferno.

This review does not invent an establishment registration number, a 510(k), or a Class II listing. Other home-panel brands on this site often hold an establishment registration. EMR-Tek’s live pages do not print one. Sessions may help general wellness routines. They are not a treatment for disease. The Krypton UV line is a higher-risk optical product (IEC 62471 Risk Group 3 on tower-bundle copy) and is outside this panel review.
