Founder Scott Kennedy opened a New Jersey light-therapy wellness center in 2018, then designed home panels for clients who could not keep a clinic schedule. The 2026 shop is a founder catalog: Facebook group, monthly Zoom, a 15-minute call slot, and a badge that reads “1-on-1 support and direct access to the owner, Scott.”
Sessions with these panels may help people who already want a 670 / 810 / 940 nm mix, a 30-degree beam, and the ability to pulse a session instead of running continuous wave only. They do not turn a home LED panel into a clinic laser. They do not add 1064 nm. They do not create an FDA clearance file. This review does not invent a 510(k) number.
The 2026 LightpathLED lineup
Start with physical size, because “full body” is a coverage claim, not a wattage claim. Diesel Mini is a handheld about 6 by 4 inches with 16 bulbs (the comparison table still says 15). Tabletop Gen3 is 14 by 12 by 3 inches with 114 double-chipped bulbs. Diesel Gen3 is the body-height workhorse: the product page lists 34.1 by 14.6 by 3.1 inches and 322 LEDs. Diesel XL Gen3 stretches that face to 44.5 by 14.6 by 3.1 inches and 414 LEDs, about 27 lb. Titan is the wall: 72 by 20 by 3 inches, 1,056 bulbs and 2,112 diodes, with an electric stand in the live product copy. The Torch is a 1.2 by 6.7-inch handheld with five diode chips.

Product-page wattage and comparison-table wattage do not always match (Tabletop 570 W versus 510 W, Diesel Gen3 1,610 W versus 1,365 W, Diesel XL 2,070 W versus 1,785 W). This review records both as they appeared on 1 September 2026. Confirm the circuit before hanging a Titan.
Spectrum: 670, 810, 940, and optional blue
Diesel and Titan Red/NIR rows are 670 nm red plus 810 nm and 940 nm near-infrared, marketed at about 66 percent NIR. Combo panels add 450 nm blue and seven mode combinations. The Torch is 450 nm blue, 620 plus 670 nm red, and two 810 nm chips. Mini Red/NIR is 33 percent red and 66 percent NIR. Mini Blue Combo is 25 / 50 / 25.
That is not a seven-band home panel. There is no 630 / 660 pair, no 830, no 850 as a named peak, and no 1064 nm. Product education still discusses 630 nm even when the SKU list is 670. This review treats 670 / 810 / 940 as the live hardware peaks.
670 nm sits slightly deeper in the red window than 630. 810 nm is a common deeper-tissue research wavelength. 940 nm is a deeper NIR many consumer panels skip. Combined with a 30-degree lens, the catalog aims at a denser field rather than a floodlight. Sessions may help skin-appearance and recovery routines that already fit those peaks. They do not cover every band a seven-wavelength panel would put on the same body.
Chips and density: multi-chip is a fact, not a smear
LightpathLED’s live comparison table labels Tabletop Gen3, Diesel Gen3, Diesel XL Gen3, and Titan as double-chipped. Diesel Mini copy says 16 bulbs with two diode chips per bulb. Titan copy says 1,056 bulbs and 2,112 diodes, which is dual-chip arithmetic. The same product FAQs still say the panels are built with “high-output triple-chip LEDs.” Older Diesels that reviewers actually measured were triple-chip hardware. Light Therapy Insiders’ Diesel Shortie XL write-up described 273 triple-chip LEDs on that generation.
None of that is a smear. A multi-chip bulb puts more than one diode in one socket, so density per square inch can rise even when the printed LED count looks modest. Count without chip count is a weak way to rank these panels. A 322-bulb Diesel Gen3 with two chips per bulb is 644 diode sites if the live double-chip line is the hardware in the box. This review reports the live FAQ-versus-table conflict and does not pretend the brand has published a Gen3 teardown.
Multi-chip plus a 30-degree lens concentrates energy at the brand’s “ideal” 12-inch distance. That can also make a panel feel hotter and more directional than a 60-degree flood. Eyewear is listed with Diesel Mini. Eye protection is not a published line-item on every Gen3 spec block. Use protection for bright red sessions regardless of the badge.
Power and Irradiance: Measured by Independent Third Parties
Brand-stated irradiance on the live comparison table is 76 mW/cm² at 12 inches for Tabletop Gen3, Diesel Gen3, and Diesel XL Gen3, labeled as the ideal distance. The method is not named. There is no published Gen3 six-inch spectrometer table on 1 September 2026. Mini is 94 to 98 mW/cm² at 0 inches and 78 to 82 at 1 inch. Titan’s comparison cell says “Professional Grade Output.” A Titan horizontal-stand SKU still carries 86 mW/cm² at 12 inches in JSON.
Older brand notes listed a Pro Series Large at more than 100 mW/cm² at 6 inches, method not named. That SKU is not in the live 1 September 2026 products.json. The return policy still names a Pro Series line for the 30-day / 20% restock window, so the name has not vanished from legal copy. This review does not treat a retired Pro Series headline as a Gen3 measurement.
Independent spectrometer work that is still live:
- Light Therapy Insiders’ Diesel Shortie XL review (lighttherapyinsiders.com/lightpathled-diesel-shortie-xl-review/) measured about 54 mW/cm² average and 58 mW/cm² peak at 6 inches on that older triple-chip Shortie. The marketed figure on that unit was 74 mW/cm² at 12 inches.
- The same lab’s 2025 panel ranking (lighttherapyinsiders.com/best-red-light-therapy-panel-2024/) placed a LightpathLED Diesel at 56 mW/cm² using a nine-point average at 6 inches. That is the “56 versus advertised ~76” pairing people still quote. The 76 figure is a 12-inch brand number. The 56 figure is a 6-inch spectrometer average on prior Diesel hardware. They are not the same distance and they are not a Gen3 factory sheet.
- Alex Fergus’s Large Multiwave Pulsed review (alexfergus.com/blog/lightpathLED-large-multiwave-pulsed-review) used a Hopoo Color OHSP-350F. He reported about 46 mW/cm² red and 50 mW/cm² NIR at 6 inches (combined 96 in his peak-style add), with a nine-spot average of 58.7 mW/cm². That page is still live. It is an older large LightpathLED panel, not a published Diesel Gen3 test.
Do not mix a solar-power-meter headline with a spectrometer average. Do not convert 12 inches into 6 inches. Peaks are not nine-point averages. A 56 mW/cm² six-inch average on a previous Diesel is not a pair with a 76 mW/cm² twelve-inch brand ideal, and it is not a pair with any other brand’s six-inch peak. What the independent record shows is a consistent pattern: spectrometer averages on older Diesels landed in the mid-50s mW/cm² at 6 inches, below the brand’s 12-inch marketing number, on hardware that was still dense and still pulsed.
How to read the power row: Gen3 still publishes 76 mW/cm² at 12 inches without naming the meter. Independent spectrometers that remain findable measured older Diesels, not a named Gen3 6-inch grid. This page does not invent a Gen3 spectrometer score.
Pulsing, Nogier talk, and modes
Live comparison-table copy for Tabletop Gen3, Diesel Gen3, Diesel XL Gen3, and Titan is “10 Presets And Manual 1-9,999hz.” Product pages add dimmable brightness, a remote, a memory function, and three light modes on Red/NIR units. Combo units add blue mixes. Mini pulses at 2.5, 10, and 40 Hz plus off (the table cell only says 40 Hz). The Torch cell is 40 Hz.
Older brand materials and independent write-ups describe Nogier-style frequency presets on Diesel hardware. Light Therapy Insiders’ Shortie XL review called out preset Nogier frequencies plus customizable pulsing for red and NIR. The live 2026 comparison table does not print the word Nogier. This review treats Nogier as documented on prior Diesel copy and on that LTI page, and treats the live Gen3 control as 10 unnamed presets plus a 1 to 9,999 Hz manual range. It does not convert a Hertz number into a medical protocol.
Pulsing is a genuine differentiator in a market where many panels are continuous-wave only. Independent write-ups have also called the control layout fiddly. Founder support is the brand’s answer. A session that may help recovery talk is still a timed light session, not a diagnosed treatment, at 40 Hz or at 9,999 Hz.
In the box, stands, and shipping
Diesel Gen3 and Diesel XL Gen3 product pages carried a “FREE Floor Stand Included” module on 1 September 2026, valued at $174, matching the Diesel Floor Stand SKU. The homepage tiles for those two sizes also showed a Free Stand flag. Titan’s product body states that the panel includes an electric stand that can be used vertically or horizontally. The paid Electrical Stand SKU is $754 and lists compatibility with Diesel Gen 3, Diesel Shortie, Diesel XL, or Diesel XL Gen 3, height 47 to 56 inches, 67.4 lb, 100 lb load. Wall mount, stacked stand, and horizontal stands are separate SKUs at $264 to $424.
Diesel Mini includes goggles, a charging cable, and a manual, with a 3-hour charge and about 2 hours of run time. This review does not invent a goggle SKU for Diesel Gen3. Remote control is listed for Gen3. Confirm the current stand promo at checkout. A free-stand flag is a merchandising module, not a lifetime promise.
Shipping copy: typically out within 3 days, about a week to the lower 48, up to 6 weeks on backorder. The site banner is free shipping to the lower 48. Diesel returns still charge shipping both ways, including the initial delivery fee.
How buying works in 2026: the consultation note
Older notes said LightpathLED required a 20-minute founder call before purchase. Live 1 September 2026, product pages expose Add to Cart. Diesel Gen3 and Mini showed Sold out and still showed the cart control. The contact page offers a 15-minute call for current users and interested buyers, plus support@lightpathled.com and 607-376-7174. Pages still sell “1-on-1 support and direct access to the owner, Scott.”
This review does not treat a call as a checkout lock unless the store blocks the cart. Support is still founder-led. People who want a protocol talk before spending $1,874 or $5,994 can book it.

Product warranty policy, live 1 September 2026
Warranty “spans up to five years” and “will decrease in coverage by 20% each year.” Year 1: 100%. Year 2: 80%. Year 3: 60%. Year 4: 40%. Year 5: 20%. Repair, replace with new in year one, replace with a used device of equal age in years 2 to 5, or a credit based on age, at the company’s discretion. Shipping covered up to year 2. Wellness-center warranty is 50% of those figures. Torch: 1 year. Pads: 18 months. Mini: 2 years. A note on that page still says torch and pads should have a 20% restock fee.
The live comparison table: Tabletop, Diesel, Diesel XL, and Titan at 5 years. Mini at 2 years. Torch at 1 year. Badges say “5 Year Warranty” and also “Up to 5-year warranty.” Older notes that said 3 years in one place and 5 in another are not the live table. The live nuance is the declining coverage. A year-four claim is 40% coverage, not a free new panel.
Mini has a trade-up note: within 6 months, return for full purchase price toward a larger panel. That is a Mini-page promise, not a line-wide program.
FDA language: registered, not cleared
Product badges say “Class II Registered.” Body copy talks in clinical tones: “clinically relevant wavelengths,” “professional-grade.” That is marketing language on a home panel. FDA registration is not FDA clearance. Clearance is a 510(k) pathway. This review does not invent a LightpathLED 510(k). Home panels that carry a US listing are FDA-registered, not FDA-cleared. LightpathLED is described here as FDA-registered (Class II) on its own badge, not as cleared and not as a treatment for disease.

Independent pages that remain live (Alex Fergus, Light Therapy Insiders, Outliyr) praise build, founder access, and pulsing, and they flag advertised-versus-measured irradiance on older Diesels. Those are editor notes, not a Trustpilot score. This review does not fill the hole with shop stars.
Who a Diesel or Titan actually fits
LightpathLED fits a buyer who wants pulsed 670 / 810 / 940 nm, likes talking to the founder, and can pay return freight on the 60-day Diesel window. Mini and Torch fit travel. Tabletop Gen3 fits a desk or joint. Diesel Gen3 is the standing torso panel with a free-stand promo when the module is on. Diesel XL Gen3 is $200 more. Titan is a 72-inch wall with a motor in the box.
It is a weaker fit for shoppers who want a published six-inch spectrometer sheet on the current generation, a Trustpilot page they can read before they buy, a 1064 nm diode, per-wavelength sliders on five or seven peaks, or a trial that refunds outbound freight. It is also a weaker fit for anyone who thought “Class II Registered” meant FDA-cleared. That badge is a listing.

No. The live table lists 76 mW/cm² at 12 inches as the ideal distance, method not named. Independent spectrometers that are still findable measured older Diesels in the mid-50s mW/cm² at 6 inches (LTI 56 nine-point average on a Diesel; LTI Shortie XL about 54 average / 58 peak; Alex Fergus nine-spot average 58.7 on a large multiwave panel). Those are not Gen3 factory 6-inch grids. Do not mix solar-meter headlines with spectrometer averages.
What happened to the Pro Series Large >100 mW/cm² at 6 inches claim?
That figure lived in older notes and in some third-party tables, method not named. A Pro Series Large SKU is not in the live 1 September 2026 products.json. The return policy still names Pro Series as a 30-day / 20% restock category. This page does not carry a retired irradiance headline onto Gen3.
